My mother has been here for 2 months and as soon as I arrived could see how welcoming the staff were - my mother has settled in well and speaks highly of the care she is receiving - they made her feel like it is home and is interacting well with the staff and fellow residents - I could not ask anymore for the kindess they have given.

From the moment my husband and I walked in to look at the home my mother was going into the next day we could feel what a lovely atmosphere there was there every member of staff have treated us and my mother with kindness and a smile nothing has been too much trouble .

I've really appreciated that I've been kept up to date with my mother's care and have even had messages to see how I was coping which was so nice as it's all new to me . If anyone is thinking of using this lovely home I would certainly not hesitate recommending it and the lovely team of caring people running it

My dad is currently at boars tye house and I can't speak highly enough about every member of staff , my dad is the best he has been in many years my old dad is back , he is joining in with activities has formed a real bond with staff and has daily banter .
Dad is receiving real person centred care based around his wishes and not the care homes . He doesn't eat a cooked meal at lunch so he has his around the time he has always had dinner .
The home is always clean and well staffed , there is always a member of staff in the day lounge .
Having worked in a care I had high standards but from the first visit prior to dad being admitted I was really impressed and knew dad would be well cared for , I really can't

fault them at all .

I can't put into words how impressed I was with the Boars Tye team. Every single member of the team treated Mum with dignity and compassion.
We was recommended to the home by one of my customers his wife spent 3 years at Boars Tye we was initially shown around by Jenny who talked us through the whole process of caring for our Mum
we didn't hesitate in choosing Boars Tye for Mums care.
The care home felt like a home from home. We had the use of the staff kitchen so we could help ourselves to drinks always welcome to have meal with mum.

My family can't thank them enough.

Mum spent 6 weeks at Boars Tye on temporary care after a hospital stay. The staff were absolutely wonderful and friendly. They couldn't have done more for her. She was incredibly happy during her stay and we were all very grateful. It was sad that there wasn't a permanent place for her available as we would have loved for her to have been able to remain and continue the fantastic care she had been receiving. We will miss everyone and couldn't recommend them more.

Staff were all very professional but at the same time made you feel like one/part of their big happy family.
Always kept me informed of mums Drs/medical visits or appointments. So I was up todate and any concerns dealt with straight away health or otherwise.
Food was good the chef made everything from scratch and if you didn't like any of the days choices a substitute was sought.
I can remember on one of my visits arriving to find my mum being given weetabix with cream and sugar mid afternoon at her request, I couldn't belive it. Staff always strive to accommodate residents were possible.
Plenty of interaction and activities going on also staff would sit and chat to residents on a one to one basis daily which I know my mum really appreciated.
A clean and caring home were my mum was treated with kindness and dignity in her last days, couldn't ask for more.

Would definately recommend

My mum has very special needs after she suffered from a Brain aneurysm when she was only 47. I needed to find a very special place where she could not only be kept safe but also a place that could handle her demands. This includes having lots of attention, keeping very busy, managing her hygiene and medication. Mum has no short term memory and a very short attention span. She forgots what she has done or eaten and is on the go all of the time. I needed to find somewhere that mum could go gor a weejs respite. Over the last four years we have tried around ten carehomes, none were able to cope with mums behaviour. We tried one more after some recommendations. We hit the jackpot. Thet care for mum as well as if she was a loved one and go above and beyond. She is well looked after, clean and happy. I can relax when mum is there. So happy to find this gem.

This is the second close family member who has been a resident at this care home. Both times the staff showed excellent care and compassion to the resident and to myself and other family members. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very supportive and flexible when our family members reached the end of their life, keeping in close contact with us throughout.

The staff show patience and courage in what is a a very difficult job.

My sister has been at Boars Tye for just one week's respite care. I visited on day six and was so impressed with all that I saw. My sister was very happy to be there and had no complaints at all. It was so apparent that ALL the staff are fully dedicated to the care and needs of the residents. All residents looked good, relaxed and well looked after. I have been to many retirement homes and in my view none of them match the care and support that Boars Tye provides to those in their care. The staffing levels are good and time is taken to really interact with the residents and visitors. It is a credit to the staff and management to achieve this, and several members of staff told me how they just love working at Boars Tye. It's a very happy place. The premises are not ultra smart, but it is the care that matters and that is achieved in spades. I hope to be visiting my sister again in a few weeks if Boars Tye can have her for another spell of respite care. Thank you so much.

Mum has only been at Boars Tye for a few weeks but our initial impressions fill us with confidence, they have already done so much to help Mum and everyone has been so welcoming. When we had our original meeting, we were very impressed and overwhelmed with the kindness, understanding, knowledge and their approachability. All of the staff are a credit to Boars Tye, they really care about the residents and know them so well, they are always happy to update us regarding Mum, we feel so confident and reassured by their care. Everyone has so much dedication to their roles, they always have a smile and no matter how busy they are, they always have time for a friendly chat with the residents and have time for us too. It is also lovely to see nice home cooked food, a traditional variety of meals too.

Although my husband was only in the home for six days before passing away I shall be forever grateful that he made it here from hospital. The management and staff were so helpful and friendly. They had organised a Valentines Dinner while he was there with each resident receiving a card and rose which was a lovely gesture. The home is an old farmhouse and is like a big family home with lovely gardens.

My wife joined Boars Tye Care Home in March 2022 and has been looked after and loved by all staff as her dementia progressively developed. Her lack of understanding of her own condition meant that this was not always an easy burden but the atmosphere in the home clearly helped.

When visiting, the first impression every time was that you were entering her home -albeit, the extended family home in this case. A warm atmosphere and friendly greetings from those staff members we talked to. We were truly fortunate in finding Boars Tye and thank all at the home.

Even on our first visit before we had made a decision, we were welcomed warmly and it felt like home! All the staff are amazing and friendly. It feels like one big family being at Boars Tye. I'm so happy with the home and the way they are with my mother. The only complaint are some of the bedrooms are small, but they are only really used for sleeping so not overly concerned.

Dad moved to Boars Tye Residential Home in December 2023, had a very comfortable stay for six months. He received the greatest care and focus from the staff. The whole family witnessed the absolute sincere caring character of all the staff. It was beautiful and Dad was thankful also. All the family realised that he was made so comfortable, safe and rested. Peace started on entry. A massive thanks from all the family to the Boars Tye team for your professionalism and true caring nature.

Mum moved into Boars Tye last August and, to be honest, I wasn't sure how she would settle. Well, I couldn't be happier! She has found everyone so easy to get on with; the staff are always so amiable and have time to chat with her and can't do enough to keep her comfortable. Their patience is amazing! The food is great (important to Mum!) with plenty of variety. Communication is good - the Manager and his staff make sure we're always aware of her latest updates - and we always feel she is in a good place. The security that Mum is safe and happy and being looked after is so valuable at this point in her life. Thank you Boars Tye for making Mum at home from home.

My father-in-law has only been a resident at Boars Tye for just short of three months, but it’s as if he has been there for years! This has been totally down to the dedicated care, support and understanding shown to him by the truly professional staff and management as they welcomed him into their community. With Boars Tye not being a new purpose-built establishment there is an overwhelming sense of intimacy which promotes a very caring, personal and homely atmosphere. The food is of an excellent quality standard and there is a very creative programme of activities/events in place. The most recent being a very enjoyable Valentine's Day lunch to which family members were also invited to attend free of charge. From a prior history of being very unsettled (to use a major understatement) he has very quickly found his new ‘Happy Place’!

We chose Boars Tye Residential Home for my sister-in-law, having experienced superb care given to my father from 2008-2011.
It’s home from home and every staff member is kind and caring. The food is amazing and the kitchen staff will always go the extra mile to accommodate the residents' likes and dislikes.
Everywhere is scrupulously clean and warm.
The activities include everyone that wants to join in (even the residents' visitors.)
We can relax and have quality visits knowing she is safe and cared for.

Thank you to all at Boars Tye.

My mum was taken to Boars Tye Residential Home last August, which is a beautiful, old-worldy care home, which she loves. She is in a lovely room which looks out onto the beautifully kept garden and she can see the birds and flowers, which is important to her. The care team are happy to wash Mum's hair first, before her own hairdresser comes in to give her a trim, to help her out. Mum enjoys the company and joins in with quite a few of the activities. Mum feels safe here, as she had had many falls in her own home and it puts my brothers and my mind at rest to know she feels happy and safe and at risk of no more falls. Mum often mentions the wonderful food and lovely carers who are always so attentive, as are the management team, who always encourage phone calls if we have any questions.

I would be happy to recommend Boars Tye Residential Home.
