New Copford Place Residential Care Home

My father in law had been a resident of New Copford Place Care Home for the last 2 years and I can not praise them enough. Other care homes that I've visited may look fantastic but looks can be deceiving. What makes New Copford Place stand out is the dedication and care they showed towards my father in law. As well as caring for the resident's physical needs you will often see staff engaged in activities with the residents or just chatting to them. Many care homes just don't have sufficient staff to provide the level of care that my father in law received. When my father had to visit the hospital a member of staff insisted on staying with him until my wife arrived. I can not recommend then enough.

When I have stayed for lunch the food has always been extremely good and the chefs all very attentive. When the home holds events for relatives to attend the catering and entertainment/activities are incredibly well organised and the food always delicious! The staff work very hard and are all extremely caring.

Dad was previously in another care home nearer to us, but both dad and ourselves had concerns about his care at this location. This care home was part of a larger care company. Upon entering New Copford Place, both my wife and myself felt this warmth and the special touches around the home (my wife was a senior carer) before she retired. New Copford Place is a smaller, single level home with most of the staff having been there many years. We know dad has the very best of care now, both physically and emotionally. The food is also great, the dining room is like a restaurant.

Mum has been in NCP for eight months now and it is clear she is settled and happy. This is down to the care and support she receives from EVERYONE at NCP. The regular updates from the Senior Carers which has just started is really useful, especially as my brother lives in the US, this update gives him a good perspective.

Dad enjoys his food which is always a good sign

Overall, we are very pleased that we chose New Copford Place for the next phase of our mum's life as we now know that she is receiving all the love and care that she deserves.

Daniel, the care manager, and his team were extremely helpful and supportive during the difficult process of getting my father into respite care. The home itself feels friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble for the staff and it is good to see so many regular faces!

This care home could not have welcomed mum more warmly. She has been a resident now for 2 years and during this time her care has always been at the forefront. The home itself is always lovely to visit at any time of the day. Staff are friendly and approachable. Always lots of activities to join in with or watch from the sides.

I have chosen this Care Home for both of my elderly relatives to live in and I feel happy with my choice.

Nice home with a good atmosphere. The staff are very attentive and helpful to deal with any queries. The management team are also good and friendly, their support with health issues and medication has been excellent.

New Copford Place is very tidy, clean and welcoming. The staff are very helpful, polite and friendly. I felt well looked after when I stayed there.

The staff are truly amazing, I no longer have to worry about my mothers welfare as I know she is in safe and caring hands. NCP always has a warm and friendly atmosphere when I visit, and the activities team do a splendid job of keeping things interesting during the day. Well done.

I am very happy with all aspects of my mothers care and facilities in Copford Place, I do know that she has always been very happy staying within this home for the period of at least the last seven years, and therefore I feel a lot of gratitude because I know that she is very well cared for.

I met some nice people there. I helped to make a Christmas cake. It was nice to share meals with other people. Slept very well. My relatives were able to come and visit me. It was lovely and warm in the home. Saw squirrels out of the window. I had my nails and hair done and that was a nice experience. I would like to stay again when my daughter goes on holiday.

My mother recently spent three weeks respite in New Copford Place. My brother and I were very impressed by the warm welcome we received from the moment we made contact by phone. The home has a calm atmosphere with light, spacious areas for relaxing and taking part in activities. The dining room is delightful with fresh flowers on each table. The staff were all professional, friendly and helpful. Although my mother decided not to stay (she wasn't ready) we would not hesitate in choosing New Copford Place for her to stay permanently.

Should the need arise in the future, there will be no need to look around. New Copford Place will be our immediate, preferred first choice. Thank you and well done all.

I personally cannot recommend this care home enough.

Satisfied with the care provided. The staff are attentive and treat residents with respect and dignity. The rooms are a little small, but the overall look and feel of the home generally is comfortable and welcoming.

All the staff, including the manager, cannot be faulted for the kindness and care they show towards the residents, and the whole atmosphere in the place is friendly and welcoming. They were so good with my mum and I would definitely recommend this home.
