Review of New Copford Place Residential Care Home from Kevin Y (Father-in-law of Resident) published on 13 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My father in law had been a resident of New Copford Place Care Home for the last 2 years and I can not praise them enough. Other care homes that I've visited may look fantastic but looks can be deceiving. What makes New Copford Place stand out is the dedication and care they showed towards my father in law. As well as caring for the resident's physical needs you will often see staff engaged in activities with the residents or just chatting to them. Many care homes just don't have sufficient staff to provide the level of care that my father in law received. When my father had to visit the hospital a member of staff insisted on staying with him until my wife arrived. I can not recommend then enough.

Review of New Copford Place Residential Care Home from Beverly A (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 30 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Overall I am very happy with the care Mum receives. She seems happy to be at New Copford Place and the staff say she is a joy to look after. She has been a resident since July 2024 and is very settled.

When I have stayed for lunch the food has always been extremely good and the chefs all very attentive. When the home holds events for relatives to attend the catering and entertainment/activities are incredibly well organised and the food always delicious! The staff work very hard and are all extremely caring.

Reply from Daniel Sabau, Care Home Manager at New Copford Place Residential Care Home

Dear Beverly, thank you for the your kind words, I will pass this onto the care team and the catering team :) It is a pleasure having your mum here with us, and we are all looking forward to more enjoyable time with her. Kind regards, Daniel

Very well managed and caring home. From the moment we were shown around we felt at ease. The level of care from the staff was truly wonderful and we could easily see they genuinely cared about their residents. The food served was excellent, and there was a good variety of activities offered.

Review of New Copford Place Residential Care Home from A H (Son of Resident) published on 23 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Dad was previously in another care home nearer to us, but both dad and ourselves had concerns about his care at this location. This care home was part of a larger care company. Upon entering New Copford Place, both my wife and myself felt this warmth and the special touches around the home (my wife was a senior carer) before she retired. New Copford Place is a smaller, single level home with most of the staff having been there many years. We know dad has the very best of care now, both physically and emotionally. The food is also great, the dining room is like a restaurant.

Review of New Copford Place Residential Care Home from Lynn T (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 June 2026 Submitted via Website

Mum has been in NCP for eight months now and it is clear she is settled and happy. This is down to the care and support she receives from EVERYONE at NCP. The regular updates from the Senior Carers which has just started is really useful, especially as my brother lives in the US, this update gives him a good perspective.

Reply from Daniel Sabau, Care Home Manager at New Copford Place Residential Care Home

Dear Lynn, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am pleased you are happy with the regular updates we send to the relatives. We always strive to increase the support we offer not just to our residents, but their families also. Kind regards, Daniel

Review of New Copford Place Residential Care Home from Kim S (Son of Resident) published on 10 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My experience of the care that my dad receives at New Copford Place Care Home is exemplary. My dad is now in his second year as a resident, the carers and support/ management team are very diligent, providing a safe and secure environment for all residents. The activities and entertainment providing the residents with stimulation and engagement.
The facilities are warm and comfortable with plenty of natural light, a very relaxed environment with attentive and engaging carers.
The management team are receptive to feedback and look to resolve any issues efficiently.
Many of the carers are long term serving staff providing continuity of care and contributing to reliving high standards of care in a happy environment.
Dad's room is very cosy and nicely set up to meet his needs, playing music from his LP collection and having a good old sing along.

Dad enjoys his food which is always a good sign

Review of Redcot Residential Care Home from Daphne B (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 5 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
The Care Home manager is excellent. She is always friendly, courteous and understanding of any concerns that we may have regarding my Mother-in-law who has been a resident there for 9 months. We are always kept up to date with any medication changes, kept informed if she is unwell and they are very proactive in their care. We know that she is in safe hands at this difficult stage in her life.

My Mother-in-law isn't very sociable, she is taken down to lunch each day which she enjoys but will not participate in any of the numerous activities put on for the residents. I know that we made the right choice by choosing Redcot which is our nearest Care Home.

Reply from Latasha Jarrett, Home Manager at Redcot Residential Care Home

Thank you Daphne for this lovely review and your kind words. It is our please to look after your Mother-in-law, and your input in to the home is very much appreciated and valued by all the residents you stop and talk to when you visit.

Review of Friends of the Elderly Woking Day Care from Liz S (Daughter of Resident) published on 5 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Mum (92) has been visiting the Bradbury Day Centre 4 days a week for over a year and I have nothing but the utmost praise for all the happy, friendly staff and for the support they have given her. I have visited several times, unexpected, and have found staff holding bingo, quizzes or singalongs. The atmosphere is friendly, supportive and totally uplifting. The staff have so much energy and they project so much happiness it's hard not to get involved with them.

My mum is Italian and, with her Dementia/Alzheimer's, has reverted to speaking in her original language - although she understands and speaks English! This did not diminish her enjoyment of being at the day centre at all. On the days she does not attend, she always asks when she is next going which is a really good indication to me that she enjoys her time there.

This day centre is absolutely wonderful. I would not hesitate in recommending to my friends and family.

Review of Friends Place from A S (Wife of Resident) published on 21 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Friends Place is outstanding in every way. After an impressive visit when it first opened, my husband and I spent two wonderful nights there. We were well looked after in lovely surroundings. He then began to go for day care and short respite periods. When it became impossible for me to meet his needs at home, we didn't have to start looking for somewhere suitable. He went to Friends Place for a month's respite, followed by a review. He is now a permanent resident and the staff are doing their utmost to give him personalised care, including creating a growing area for him outside his patio door. He is very well fed and encouraged to join in all the activities. The atmosphere is vibrant, with lots of laughter. Well-trained staff - such a caring team.

Reply from Alina Gutu, Care Home Manager at Friends Place

Thank you for such a thoughtful and generous review. We are delighted to hear that the experience-from the initial visit through respite and now as a permanent resident-has been so positive. It is especially pleasing to know that the team's commitment to personalised care, including creating...

Review of Friends Place from C P (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My Mum has been living at Friends Place for 4 months and we are delighted with the wonderful care and respect shown to her (and her fellow residents) on a daily basis by the staff. All staff are kind, patient and deeply committed to the wellbeing of each resident through the provision of highly personalised support. I have visited frequently and in all visits I see first hand exceptional care provision.

In addition, the facilities are superb. The rooms are spacious and modern providing plenty of storage and shelves to display photos, books, etc which means the rooms can be personalised for each resident. The open plan dining room/lounge on each floor provides a lovely social/dining area which is superbly used for meals, events, entertainment and activities. Residents are well supported to participate in activities whilst also having the freedom to choose how much/little they engage depending on how they feel each day.

Mum describes Friends Place as a big family. We are delighted.

Fantastic care home!! Within 2 weeks the staff asked if it was ok for my mother to "help" by doing small chores. This is absolutely what my mum loves to do and I was very impressed that the staff had got to know her so well so quickly!
Communication has been consistently excellent and the nurses have spotted mum was unwell very quickly indeed and arranged GP visit/medication pick up.
The care home is kep immaculately clean, the food is delicious and the staff all make everyone feel like part of the family.

It's wonderful to know how well my mum is being taken care of, a massive thank you to Friends Place for everything. Highly recommended!!

Our care home is lovely. There is always something going on to stimulate the residents with plenty of options to opt out. The staff are so friendly and obviously fond of the residents. We are so lucky to have found this care home to look after our loved one and so grateful.
The home is so clean, they have introduced murals depicting times pasted. They display menus for the day, they take an interest in relatives. Absolutely spot on, feels like you are part of one large family.
