Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
On the 24th of February 2025, I was involved in a road traffic accident which sadly resulted in the loss of my right leg below the knee. Over the following month, I was treated and transferred between four different hospitals before eventually being offered a place at Little Bramingham Farm care home
in Luton.
Since arriving here, I have felt nothing but care and kindness, The staff are always willing to help, and everyone is friendly and supportive. The food is excellent and I feel both safe and truly cared for. I already feel very much at home here, and would like to consider this my permanent home. There are lots of different activities to take part in, and I also have the freedom to go out when I choose, with carers kindly offering to accompany me if I wish.
I feel very fortunate to be here. Everyone is wonderful, and I am deeply grateful for the care and support I receive.

All the staff at the day centre where my husband attended were brilliant. They are all very professional , yet really personal to my husband's individual needs. They reassured me and my husband loved going and looked forward to his visits. They were very attentive to every detail to make it a special
time for him and in turn made me feel safe when dropping him off. I can not thank them enough , you all work really hard and I really appreciated everything you did.

My Mum was sent to Orford house originally on a temporary bases which has now become permanent. From the first time we met the staff at Orford they were all very caring. Mums health wasn't great when she first went there, the staff were really quick to get her the help she needed and keeping me and
my siblings informed. Any issues we have had have been taken seriously and we felt heard. Management have been great with advising us and reassuring.
Mum really is happy there and the staff really care for her.

Mother-in-law has been a resident for just over 3 years. She is dementia and not mobile but she always seems happy with her care. She always looks clean and tidy, as do all other residents. The care home is beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. The staff always seem happy and caring - like a
family. They engage extremely well with local organisations - children's nursery come in, local college look after garden crops, church etc. Always lots going on for residents and their families. Residents - regular programme of entertainers, keepfit, bingo, large tablet etc. Events - halloween and christmas etc for all, cheese and wine for resident family with full report of all.

Wow where do I begin !! Honestly we cannot fault this beautiful care home. It's like a 5 star hotel, but more importantly the staff are just incredible! My mum and dad went in on respite two weeks ago with the intention of my dad staying permanently, although we'd all decided in the family that it was
never going to work due to the severity of his late stage Alzheimer's. How wrong we were !! We have tirelessly tried to get him to eat but to no avail, we struggled to get him to engage or interact with anything, but literally within days they had him doing both! They are simply brilliant at knowing just how to handle him. It is such a relief for us all that he is now in a secure, safe and beautiful environment surrounded by people that genuinely care. My dad deserves the best and that's exactly what he has at Friends Place. Roz and Alina you have been amazing from the word 'go'! A huge thanks to each and every one of you for taking care of him and making us all feel so welcome. X

Wow ! After visiting many care homes, this one stood out the most, from the moment we walked through the doors to be shown around I knew it was the one, with a homely feel, amazing staff and management that go above and beyond, the beautiful setting and tasteful design, it even has a cinema room and
bar, my in-laws deserve the best and would not want them anywhere else, would highly recommend without any hesitation , my father in-law has settled instantly which is beyond what we could of ever imagined and my mother in-law has said that she can not find a fault anywhere, this has been one of the hardest decisions we have had to make and Friends Place has made it so easy for us.

I was so excited after a visit to Friends Place that I decided to book a two-day stay for respite for myself and my husband in the hope that he would like it too and be willing to go alone for day care and respite care, having seen how wonderful it is. Our experience there was beyond my already high
expectations in every respect.
The building is extremely tastefully decorated and furnished and very comfortable. We were made very welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. The staff, without exception, were friendly and caring and really wanted to look after us and make us feel at home. There were lots of personal touches too. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and the staff were keen to know our personal tastes. My husband also loved it even more than I anticipated, and thanked me for finding it. He is looking forward to going for the day next week. I shall shortly be booking regular respite stays for him so that I can have breaks. Life-enhancing for us both!

We are incredibly grateful to Little Bramingham Farm for the wonderful care they have been providing for dad since March 2024. From the very first day, the staff have shown compassion, professionalism, and genuine kindness, making us feel confident that he is in safe and caring hands.
The attention
to detail and personalized care he receives truly makes a difference. It's comforting to know that he is being looked after with such dedication and respect.
The environment is warm and welcoming, and there's a focus on resident's wellbeing with movement and keep fit sessions, an on-site hair salon and numerous events from nursery school and therapy dog visits to art and craft sessions.
We highly recommend Little Bramingham Farm to anyone seeking a caring and nurturing home for their loved ones. Thank you to all the staff for your outstanding care and support.

I can't speak highly enough of the wonderful care my mother receives at LBF. From the very first day, the staff have gone above and beyond to make her feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home. It gives our family such peace of mind knowing that she is not only well cared for physically, but also emotionally
supported and treated with kindness and respect. The carers are incredibly attentive, patient and genuinely compassionate. They take the time to get to know each resident personally, and it shows in the way they interact with mum. Whether it's helping with daily routines, keeping her engaged with activities, or just sharing a laugh and a chat, the team's warmth and dedication never go unnoticed. The home itself is always clean, welcoming, and filled with a sense of calm. Meals are nutritious and thoughtfully prepared, and we're regularly updated about mum's wellbeing, which we deeply appreciate. I'm truly grateful to all the staff for the incredible work they do everyday.

Our mum came to Little Bramingham farm in May this year for respite and now permanent care. As a family we chose the home initially above all other homes we visited because it's focus and culture of top quality care and it's a real feeling of being a home from home. Mum loves the care and attention
she gets from a great team of experienced professionals. Every day without fail she comments on how lovely they are and how they care for her needs. From the chef (who makes great omelettes) to the carers and the support team incl the hairdresser. What stands out most at this care home is how experienced, passionate  and longstanding the whole workforce is. There is little turnover and their individual desire to support the residents comes out in many ways. It's the little chats and touches which make them stand out like helping mum choose coordinated clothes and hats!! Which she loves.

that are provided to help her feel welcome. During our visits to see mum, your staff have always made us feel welcome and we've been able to enjoy the varied areas that have allowed either a more communal or private visit depending on how mum has been feeling.
Once again a big thankyou.

The Staff are warm, caring, hardworking, kind, skilled and conscientious. They really know each Resident well.
They all work well together as a Team from the Administrator to the Housekeeping and Maintenance, Activities Lead and Caring Staff.
The grounds are lovely, well kept and used enthusiastically.
There are clear lines of accountability with the Shift Leaders being an accessible and efficient point of contact for Staff, Residents and Relatives alike as well as the Home Manager.
There is a stable core of regular Staff and Agency Staff use mostly seems to be small.
I have chosen this Care Home for both of my elderly relatives to live in and I feel happy with my choice.

Friends of the Elderly Malvern Day Care

I am the primary carer/ husband of my wife who, because of her dementia, requires full time support and care. In March last year I began the search for a day care centre which would give me some time out in looking after her. After viewing a number of centres together with the family I decided the FOE
day centre at Davenham would be the place most suited to my wife's needs. How right we were! Despite initial reservations from my wife she soon settled in to the daily routines and activitiies. We increased attendance from 2 to 3 days per week very soon after the intial few months.
All of the staff there were and are brilliant with nothing too much trouble to make my wife comfortable and with the amount of activities available, the reassurance by the care staff when she feels a little vulnerable and the general ambience of the surroundings I would strongly recommend the Davenham day centre to anyone who wants that extra little bit of care and support for the service user and their carer
