My Mother has dementia and attended the Malvern Day Care Centre twice a week for a couple of years prior to going into a home recently.
She very much benefitted from her days there - it gave her a much needed boost and she was always saying how much she enjoyed the food, activities and company. I
cannot praise Linda, Shirley and their team enough for their care and support. They consistently went over and beyond in order to help mum, and us too, at a difficult time in her life which was invaluable, particularly as we do not live locally.
A huge and heartfelt thank you from us all - we will miss you!

FOTE was one of a number of residential settings viewed and stood out as a home that was authentic and held the residents and their families central to everything they do.

Initially mum went into Bradbury Court for respite care for two weeks; however, to our amazement she settled in very quickly

nd enjoyed the company of the other residents and staff. Seeing her content, well cared for and feeling safe helped us make the decision that was best for her and that was to remain at Bradbury Court.

The care she received was outstanding, there are a small number of residents who are cared for by staff who genuinely care and take the time to get to know every residents little ways and likes and dislikes. It really is like one big happy family with staff, residents and families all interacting together during activities or just spending time in the lounge areas together.

Food is delicious and plentiful, the house itself is beautiful and the grounds are a delight to wander.

Reply from Jo Bennett, General Manager at Friends of the Elderly Malvern (Bradbury Court, Davenham and Perrins House)Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind 5-star review. It truly means a great deal to us.
We are delighted to hear that you and your family have been happy with the care and support for Mum, it is our pleasure. Our team is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and caring environment, and feedback like yours reassures us that we are achieving what matters most to our residents and their loved ones.
Your kind words will be shared with the whole team, we take great pride in getting to know each resident as an individual and supporting them with dignity, warmth, and compassion every day.
Thank you again for your trust and lovely recommendation.

Mum is 95 with dementia and limited mobility. She moved from domiciliary care to Perrins House a year ago. We looked at many homes in the area and are really happy that we chose Perrins House. The staff are capable and friendly and are genuinely concerned to keep her safe, healthy and happy. Staff
turnover seems to be low, which gives consistency and means the staff get to know the residents. The building is wheelchair friendly and the beautiful gardens are accessible. We are free to come and go as we like and always feel welcome. I particularly like the ambience of Perrins House, it's not trying to be a country house hotel but nor does it feel like a care home. It's spacious and nice touches like good china and tablecloths make it feel homely. The range of activities is good, carefully planned and shaped around the residents. I am happy that we made the right decision and have found the best place for mum to feel at home and be well cared for and contented.
Reply from Jo Bennett, General Manager at Friends of the Elderly Malvern (Bradbury Court, Davenham and Perrins House)Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and kind review. Friends of the Elderly Malvern Day Care

My wife has attended first one day a week for day care and later extended to two days. Over the last 12 months my wife has enjoyed her 'days out' and she has always been greeted warmly and made to feel part of the 'family'. Without exception she has been made to feel comfortable and included and has
formed attachments to several people. The day care has come to an end only because she is now in permanent care. The day care unit is particularly good not just because of the lovely staff but because it is a home from home and not a clinical setting. Highly recommended.

My sister, Maura, who was always determined to never end up in a care home, has taken to Davenham like a duck to water. She is remarkably content there. Her health is very well looked after, she loves the food there and her accommodation is second to none. It was a great stroke of luck for us to
find Davenham.

Since my mum started attending the day centre, she has truly blossomed. She is so much happier and really looks forward to going. Its wonderful to see her come home smiling & relaxed and she speaks so fondly of the staff and how caring & kind they are. The staff really are so incredibly kind and patient
and go above and beyond in their support, not only to my mum, but to me as well. They have been so knowledgeable, understanding and supportive around her diagnosis, which means more than I can say. The regular communication and updates are fantastic and put my mind at ease. The atmosphere is homely, warm, friendly and safe, with lots of laughter & singing! It's such a comfort knowing that my Mum is treated with such dignity & care. I am extremely grateful for everything that they do.

Mum had excellent care throughout her stay. It was very comforting to know she was safe, secure and being looked after by a team of staff who clearly had her best interests at heart. Whilst it is an impressive property, it was the approach staff that impressed most.

All the staff at the day centre where my husband attended were brilliant. They are all very professional , yet really personal to my husband's individual needs. They reassured me and my husband loved going and looked forward to his visits. They were very attentive to every detail to make it a special
time for him and in turn made me feel safe when dropping him off. I can not thank them enough , you all work really hard and I really appreciated everything you did.

I am the primary carer/ husband of my wife who, because of her dementia, requires full time support and care. In March last year I began the search for a day care centre which would give me some time out in looking after her. After viewing a number of centres together with the family I decided the FOE
day centre at Davenham would be the place most suited to my wife's needs. How right we were! Despite initial reservations from my wife she soon settled in to the daily routines and activitiies. We increased attendance from 2 to 3 days per week very soon after the intial few months.
All of the staff there were and are brilliant with nothing too much trouble to make my wife comfortable and with the amount of activities available, the reassurance by the care staff when she feels a little vulnerable and the general ambience of the surroundings I would strongly recommend the Davenham day centre to anyone who wants that extra little bit of care and support for the service user and their carer

My friend came for respite care in July and was sobbing because it had come to this - needing to be in a care home. After 2 weeks, she wanted to have 2 more weeks of respite. Her anxiety was diminished and she enjoyed the company of residents and especially the company, kindness of the staff. She wants
to be in her own home so is going back with 24 hour care set in place. If she cannot cope, she will be happy to return to Davenham. Everyone has been wonderfully kind.

Mum has been using the Day Care facilty for the last four years. She absolutely loved every minute there and even said she wished she could take her bed. Sadly the time has come for her to move into residential care and she was very sad having to say goodbye to her friends and her amazing carers who
all gave her a lovely send off. The carers are obviously Angels on loan. Thank you all so very much for your dedication and being Mums friend xxx

My husband was cared for following a fall that resulted in a hospital stay. What a relief to find the wonderful care he received upon leaving the hospital for respite/rehabilitation, which gave me such peace of mind. He had a lovely en-suite room that was ideal for someone with Dementia, including a
bell that sounded when he got out of bed to give a warning to the staff. The lounge/dining area is well furnished with comfortable chairs and tables
Most of all it was lovely to see the loving care the staff were giving to the residents. The grounds with their trees and flowers are a credit to the gardener, so tranquil, my husband even went to feed the ducks!
The whole area was spotlessly clean. During my husband's stay, it was our Diamond Wedding Anniversary the manager kindly said we could make use of the coffee lounge for a small get together of friends.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home.

My father has resided at Davenhams for 6 years now & is well settled. He knows most of the staff who attend to him & they know him with his little quirks. I live in London, so my link is long distance, but I try to visit as often as I can. My father is bedridden & the carers feed him & turn him regularly
due to bedsores. He says to me he's content, but has said to his carers on several occasions that he wants to 'go', but his body won't let him. Overall, as far as I can tell from my too infrequent visits, I'm happy with the care he's receiving, including from the local community nurses.
