My relative came for a period of respite after being in hospital following a house fire. He arrived with virtually no belongings whilst we were trying to sort things out. The staff + management went above + beyond throughout his stay. They were supportive of myself too, as well as him, throughout the
entire stay. I cannot thank the team enough for everything. They made a very traumatic time so much better. Side note am told bed was comfy + food/coffee/cake were great!
Reply from Andy Cumper, Manager at The Bernard Sunley Nursing and Dementia Care HomeThank you for the lovely review. I hope he has settled into his new house now. Many thanks

My mother has been here for 3 years. I have a good relationship with the staff who always keep me updated either by phone or email depending on the circumstances.
When visiting we are always made to feel welcome by all staff which is very much appreciated. My mother who has Alzheimers also says
how well staff look after her including the food.
Whilst it doesn't affect the star rating there is sometimes an issue with parking but there is a free car park 500 yards away.

My mother has been a resident for 2 years and has never regretted it .The Homely atmosphere and
friendly and caring staff make it an enjoyable experience.
She loves the activities, especially any that involve singing, and joins in all the outings possible.
The family are reassured that she is well

My mother has been at Redcot since November 2022. She does now refer to Redcot as home which indicates how well she regards being there. She always praise the staff for being helpful and cheerful and enjoys the atmosphere with many opportunities for the residents to meet and share activities and outings.
I would thoroughly recommend Redcot to anyone needing a caring environment to live in.

Thank you so much for the care, affection you gave to my husband. The welcome we just received on our arrival was so welcoming, smiles making my husband feel he would be well looked after. The staff always greeted warmly. His bedroom was just great, overlooking the gardens and a lovely print of a river
over his bed. He was a great fisherman, and loved the garden. Thank you all so much.

We thank the Bradbury Day Centre Staff from the bottom of our hearts for all the great care they have given to both mum and dad over the years, it has been such a big part of their lives attending the Day Centre and has always been so reassuring knowing that whilst they were in the care of the Bradbury
Day centre staff they would be well looked after, having fun, being well entertained and being fed and watered. Would highly recommend.

I stayed in Bernard Sunley Home for four days. This was respite care to allow my wife to go on a short break. I was very impressed by the home. It is well-run, and the staff all seemed friendly, caring, and interested in me. They were all very helpful whenever I had any special requests or needs. I
would have no hesitation in staying at Bernard Sunley again and would recommend it to others too.

From the very first day my wife moved into the home, everyone at Bernard Sunley has given the most extraordinary level of loving care and dedication to make sure she felt at home. Every aspect of the home from the various lounges, the food, the entertainment and activities were outstanding. Having
been my wife's full-time carer for sometime, my daughters and I were very apprehensive in giving that responsibility to strangers but Bernard Sunley widely exceeded our expectations and created a warm, friendly and home-from-home environment that gave my wife the dignity and love that was so important to us.
In the very stressful last few days my wife was with us, it is difficult to describe how magnificent everyone was to all the family. It really felt as though everyone was part of one big family.
No one wants their loved one to go into a care home but if that becomes inevitable, I cannot praise Bernard Sunley highly enough and would recommend them without reservation.

My mother has been a resident since July 2023. All the staff have always been excellent however when my mother sadly passed away in February, they went above and beyond. As a family we had to find a respite home that suited our Dad who had been very poorly in hospital. A viewing was completed and we felt this was the home we would place Dad in, as we were confident he would thrive.
All the staff were very welcoming and hard working. Dad settled in very quickly and
enjoyed all aspects of his three week stay at Redcot.
He had a lovely room that looked out onto the South Downs, he loved the view. The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and the activities were great for Dad to participate in, especially the singing.
Redcot offer a day visit, which is a brilliant idea and we will definitely use the service.
Thank you to all at Redcot for your care and attention.

My mum received palliative care at The Bernard Sunley Nursing and Dementia Care Home at the end of her life. It was excellent and across all areas, nursing, nutrition and housekeeping. All staff were welcoming to her and the family, being responsive and communicating any changes, seeking permissions
