Mum was very frail and confused when she came to the home. She is stronger and safe and well cared for now. Staff are caring and attentive to Mum's needs.
Thank you for your input, we are pleased Mum has become strong and is happy living with us at Glendale.
Excellent care. The carers are so kind and patient. The food is good and nutritious. I can't speak highly enough. The home has a real family feel.
Thank you for your time in completing the review for our home.
Every time I visit my friend I feel very welcomed staff are lovely and so accommodating. They have so much time for all the residents with good activities and stimulation. The food looks lovely and the cakes are a favourite. The manager is brilliant and very approachable. They have redecorated the whole home during Covid. The garden is big and has plenty of seating areas. I can highly recommend this beautiful lovely little home.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very proud of our home and the service we provide. Covid has been hard for everyone and we are pleased that life is returning to normal and that the home is fully open for visitors at any time. We enjoy your visits.
My father was made to feel very welcome at Glendale and was very well looked after. They were very caring and always had his best interests at heart, which made visiting him a lot easier as it was when we leave him after a visit. We feel that as a smaller care home they were able to give him much more time and personal assistance compared to a large home - we would 100% recommend them.
Thank you for your kind words and glowing review. You were all part of our family and Dad touched our hearts, he is always in our minds and memories.
My mother has been in Glendale for 4 years now. I could not be happier with the amazing care and support provided by all the staff at the care home. I think they go above and beyond to make sure that the experience for the residents and families is one of compassion and friendliness. Nothing is too much trouble and I have always been kept up to date with any changes that have happened to my mum. Care is assessed for each individual and managed appropriately. Before covid, outings for the residents were organised and activities are a daily occurrence. The care home is clean and well maintained. The residents have regular pamper sessions which include manicures, pedicures and reflexology. A visiting hairdresser does everyone’s hair in the ‘Hair salon’ at Glendale on a regular basis. I am thankful to the manager and all the staff for the superb quality of care that my mum receives. I would highly recommend this outstanding home.
Thank you for your kind words and we are very happy with the extra services we provide and the home comforts it gives our residents.
The care my father received from the Glendale team was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, particularly when Dad lost his appetite - they would happily cook something specifically for him. They took time to get to know him very well, what he liked and disliked.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased your dad is happy in our home and that you are pleased with the care.
Excellent caring home, run very professionally by people who really care for the residents. My father was a resident for three years and had the best levels of care.
We aim to be able to do this for the foreseeable future.
As a daughter, I find this care home amazing. I feel safe leaving my mother here. The staff are amazing and my mother is always happy and well looked after.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased you are happy with the care your mother recieves.
A beautiful, clean home that is well-led. I couldn't ask for better care for Mum. Food is really tasty and nutritious. There's always something going on - games, entertainment, haircuts and pamper days. Thank you Glendale family.
Thank you for your support and we are very pleased that you feel part of our family.
Glendale are providing excellent care to my dad. The staff are very patient and supportive of his care needs. He has a lovely bright room, he is partaking in the activities provided. He has gained weight due to their patience in encouraging him to eat.
We are pleased to hear you are happy with the service we provide.
Friendly and caring staff. They have managed to get my father-in-law settled and eating again after a spell in hospital where he deteriorated. He has a bright and clean room, excellent food and facilities. Staff are attentive and caring. He is very well looked after in Glendale.
Thank you for your kind words, we are pleased your loved one is settled and happy in our home.
My father was well looked after he had an operation. The staff were very kind and cared for him with all his needs.
Thank you for your response - it's appreciated, we are proud you were happy with our service.
So pleased with this lovely little home. The right choice for our grandmother, the team are loving and caring it’s comfortable and cosy. Very clean with home-cooked food. All residents seem happy stimulated and well presented. The home is very clean and tidy. We have had visits in the garden BBQs and entertainment seaside days and a Christmas party all through covid although we have to keep our distance and wear PPE we can see that our grandmother and the other residents are happy. The home has moved forward with covid made a visitors room and testing station and I got one feel very safe when I visit. Can highly recommend this lovely compassionate little home.
Thank you for your kind words. We welcome all families and friends to all events even with keeping their distance at present so everyone is safe. We look forward to the rollout of the vaccine being completed and you being able to have more time and contact with your loved ones.
We as a family can’t thank the team enough over the last few months when my mum's health declined so much. They have been marvellous to mum, also kept us in the loop with everything. She very well cared for, it’s been a hard year for care homes and the residents but they have done a great job.
We are proud of the love and care we can give in a small personal home. Thank you for your support.
An excellent residential home - small, friendly and homely. Staff get to know the residents really well and develop close relationships with them, so they are able to provide good personalised care. The communal areas and rooms are clean and comfortable. A variety of activities are offered daily, as well as trips, special occasions and events for residents and friends/family. Lovely garden and surrounding village. Good food. A very happy three years spent at Glendale.
Thank you for your kind words. We are pleased with how the home has evolved and continue to make important updates to the home and person-centered care.
My brother was catered for with care during his short stay. He arrived with complex needs and they were met. He had to get used to being in a wheelchair and a more structured daily routine. He enjoyed a happy birthday and Christmas. The staff were very supportive during a very difficult time. We were well looked after when visiting and felt completely safe in the environment. He had excellent end-of-life care.
Thank you for your kind words, we are very pleased with how the home has evolved and we continue to make improvements for the residents best interests.
A professional caring attitude, aware of 'end of life' needs. Good and clear information of medical procedures and condition of the patient, and referrals to Doctor. Help and encouragement to relatives in extremely difficult situations of lockdown.
Thank you for your kind response. We wish you well and hopefully, you will visit our service again.
Staff are always welcoming and caring to residents and visitors alike.
I believe much has been done to improve things such as food, staffing, training etc. since my last trip here.
It would be nice to see more structured activities and outings available.
Astonished when I visited. Fantastic to see all be included. A secure, reassuring home with dedicated staff. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this lovely, welcoming home!! Outside space is a joy.
They look after me so well and care so well to all my needs etc. They are all so happy to do things for me and all the residents. I love them all dearly - a joy to be here.
