Exemplary care throughout 6 years of mums residency. Compassionate, professional and committed staff. Stable management team with consistently high standards. A happy, calm environment with a full timetable of activities to engage and entertain residents.
Thank you very much for your kind words. It has been a privilege to care for your Mum for the 6 years she was with us.
I have always found the care and attention that mum receives to be of the highest standard. She is safe, and all her needs are met. Everyone keeps me informed of any information I need on mum and of how she is doing, and I know that I can always raise any concerns of my own. The activities programme is a lot of fun, and I have joined mum in regular music and dance sessions.
Thank you very much for your review. It is great to hear that you feel your Mum receives high quality care and you are both enjoying our activities programme.

All the carers seem very kind. Mum has settled in well and seems much happier than when she lived by herself in her own home. She loves to join in the activities and talking to the other residents and their visitors.
Thank you for your review. We are very pleased that your Mum is so happy with us and has settled well and made friendships.
This is the second residential care home my mother in law has lived in. Whilst lower cost than the first, the care, ambience, staff engagement and overall experience at Longfield is dramatically better. This is a low rise, low density, low stress care home. Lots of space, easy access to secure outdoor fresh air and great food means I and my wife are completely relaxed leaving my Mother in Law in the care of the Longfield team. Congratulations Team Longfield. You are all stars.

Meet the Team (2)

I started my career in care in 1999 after studying Science and Health Studies at college. Throughout my career, I have worked in nursing and residential homes, supporting older people with disabilities and dementia, and their families.
In the past, I have supported members of my own family through illness. This experience ignited my passion for working in care and ensuring that every resident receives the compassion, care and support they deserve. I have worked within the Excelcare group since 2015 in several roles, progressing to Home Manager and completing a level 5 diploma in care management. I have managed Longfield since 2014 and am very committed to this home.
I am very proud of our home and the fantastic team I work with. I am passionate about team member development and love supporting colleagues to improve their knowledge and progress in their careers.
I enjoy gardening, walking, skiing, and spending time with my family in my spare time.

I joined Longfield Care Home as an experienced care assistant in 2014. I quickly progressed to the role of Team Leader, and then in 2018 became Deputy Manager.
I have completed level 2 and 3 diplomas in care, and I am currently completing the level 5 diploma in care management. My two specialities are Dementia Care and Parkinson’s Disease care. I have completed qualifications in both these subjects, and I am accredited to lead teaching sessions in Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia Care.
My favourite part of the job is getting to know residents and their families and building a connection with people. I also like to continually learn and improve my knowledge through training and working closely with other professionals.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking my two dogs and family get-togethers, particularly summertime BBQs.
