After visiting my husband (1st indoor visit) I was instantly put at ease by the caring staff.
Once my covid check was cleared I was allowed access. Walking through a light and airy corridor to my husband's room which was spotlessly clean. His room is lovely, clean, bright, I was very impressed by how comfortable his room was.
The staff are all friendly and caring nothing is too much trouble for them and I could see my husband is well cared for.
It was a very upsetting time for me to send my husband to care but his needs are now so complex that professional care was required, after seeing him settled my mind was put at ease.

I’m lucky to have my husband cared for by the staff of this lovely home.

I would most certainly recommend Longview. The staff go above and beyond in any situation to resolve with the best of their ability. I must also commend them on a year which I’m sure they would like to forget. They managed to keep the pandemic out of the home in the 1st lockdown which must have been very scary times for them all ensuring the safety of the residents as well as their own families at all times. My mum passed away in September 2020 (not from COVID I must add) and the dedication and compassion we were shown from the staff as a family was phenomenal so much so they are now part of our extended family and I will hopefully be returning to Longview when normal times return to volunteer and be able to show my gratitude.

Today was my nan’s 92nd birthday and the staff at Longview made it extremely special for her.

The area was decorated with balloons and banners and they made a fuss of her which was so lovely to see. We feel extremely grateful that we managed to get to see her on her special day and you could see that the staff adore her just as much as we do!

My Mum has been a resident at Longview for over two years now. It took her time to get used to living there, she does have her ups and downs which is upsetting for her and me as she is very independent but has now got used to the carers helping her with personal care etc. They do a brilliant job and I feel so thankful knowing she is looked after and safe in their hands.

It is difficult not being able to visit and see mum at the moment, although I do telephone to see how she is, with this Coronavirus, and for the carers and staff, they are doing a great job keeping the residents and themselves safe. I am very grateful and wish everybody safe and well at this time.

My dear Mum has lived in Longview for over nine yrs and has always been very well looked after. During the last year, she has been bedridden but she is bright and cheerful, she always looks clean and relatively healthy for her 101yrs. She calls all the carers her friends which I think speaks volumes of her happy relationship with all the staff.

I cannot fault Longview for looking after my nan. They are very caring and keep her busy, meaning she has a much better quality of life than she had at home with us. She's part of a little group of friends and always has a smile on her face and a joke with the carers.
The care home is doing an amazing job during the Covid lockdown keeping everyone safe and ensuring that the residents are having fun. I love seeing the photos and videos on social media as I can see how happy Nan is during this time when I cannot see her.

Totally recommend this home. Very clean, lovely staff who genuinely love their jobs, leaving happy guests.

My mum has been in the home for 18 months staff are brilliant. The staff are dealing brilliantly with being shut down due to Covid-19, they should be proud of themselves for all their hard work while all this is going on perhaps a rise in wages would suffice. They look after my mum very well.

I cannot thank you enough for your care and compassion that you have shown us (the relatives), my mum and the other people in your care. I'm humbled and very appreciative of all you've done on our behalf, Mothers Day looked magical, keeping us informed on your/their activities. Especially through this awful time. Thank you. The staff are very dedicated and go beyond their duties to provide a loving, caring, very clean and tidy homely home. Even when relatives ask silly questions they are all very polite and caring. Thank you is not a big enough word.

I had to make the hardest decision in December and place my nan in care. Upon looking at Longview, I knew fairly quickly it was the one I was going to choose. I was completely right, my nan started there by refusing to come out of her room, wouldn’t eat and just seemed so down. Speaking with the staff it was agreed that she couldn’t remain sitting in her room day in day out, as she needed interaction and company. Now three months on, she is like a different lady and although her memory is very bad, like having part of my nan back again. The staff have been amazing and very patient with her, she is out of her room every day, eating well so putting weight on and has that spark back in her eye. They treat all their residents as family and go above and beyond to make every one of them special. Due to the Coronavirus, the home has been in lockdown but we are kept up to date with photos on their social media page and video calls. I definitely recommend Longview.

My sister was in Longview for 4 months suffering from an oesophagus growth which was getting better and from day one the love and helpful care she received was exceptional. She quickly accepted all the staff as her family and she wished she had gone there earlier. The staff (of all ages) showed affection which made her feel very much at home. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Mum moved in unwillingly to the care home as she was highly independent in her own home until 86 years of age. They made her welcome and the care and support were of a very high standard. In her last months, they took excellent care of her and the facility was extremely clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
