Since my neighbour moved into Longview Canvey Island. He has been treated with most respect and care. If anything bothers him it is always dealt with immediate effect.

The cleanliness is outstanding and my neighbour is so happy and it was the best decision.

It is a difficult and demanding job that is often unpleasant. A huge amount of time must be spent simply coping with regulation. Despite this, I've seen numerous examples of real care and concern for the well-being of the residents and there are several dedicated numbers of the team happy to provide the all-important personal touch that makes people feel loved.

Having tried for a long period to look after my mother and enable her to live at home, it's a great relief that she has adjusted so easily to her new life, has better care and is much happier.

I have found this care home to be very good, the staff are always available to answer any questions, very friendly and helpful. I have found that they have always treated my father with dignity. The staff have a very difficult job as some people do not understand things as they may suffer from dementia, but the staff always take time with them and are very understanding. I have found the management to have an open door policy if you have a problem and they do their best to sort it out. The food is good and always plenty to go round, my Dad is always being offered seconds. The staff always know what he likes and dislikes which is a feat because it is a large home. My father has been in Longview for three years this coming October and we did not think he would still be here with us. I am sure it is the excellent care he receives from his carers and I would like to say I have seen first hand how hard they work and myself and the rest of my family would like to thank them all.

My father is a resident here and has been since last August. He has been well cared for ever since day one. He always appears happy and content. We can sleep easy at night now knowing he is getting 24-hour care. We wouldn't recommend this place for anyone enough. All the staff are very dedicated and hard working.

We have recently needed to get my mother-in-law into a caring environment. Safety, compassion, dignity and cleanliness were the key elements that we were looking for. I am very pleased, happy and comforted to know she is in good hands at Longview. The staff have been magnificent including the manager who we have direct contact with. They have made the transition so much easier for us as a family.

From the very first day I felt a genuinely compassionate and welcoming environment from all the staff. Through November my father has been in a caring and safe environment, even though the care home shut down due to sickness/chest infection I knew my father was receiving good attention and that he was safe. I cannot praise and thank enough all the staff at Longview for their dedication and commitment towards their job. Congratulations.

My mother has been a resident at Longview for over 4 years. She is very happy there and the attention to her care by the carers is extremely friendly yet professional. My father was also a resident for a couple of weeks last year before he sadly passed away and again, the carers couldn't do enough to ensure his end of days were as comfortable as possible.

It is a pleasure to come in and always find mum clean and happy, chatting to the other residents and joining in with the many activities that go on around the home. Having seen the other side of the care homes, I feel so happy and confident that she has finally found a home that looks after her with respect and care.

Since my mother has been in Longview it has been stress-free. Whenever I visit mum is clean and happy and always in the lounge with the other residents. Mum was previously in another care home for 2 and a half years. It was stressful every time I came to visit as mum was not cared for properly and was always dirty and in her room. Longview for me is a breath of fresh air and stress free.

We can not thank the wonderful staff enough for the top quality care they gave to my nan for the two years she spent at Longview until her death in August 2016.

The care home is always clean, well kept and the rooms are very modern. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. They are always willing to help and assist at all times. I and my family would like to wish all the staff the very best. Thank you so much for everything.

The only problem encountered is that the resident is really "required" to speak up for themselves or things don't get done for them. (i.e. their wishes). Otherwise excellent and the staff show real interest in the resident and give excellent care without any moans or discouraging feedback. The resident has put on weight, looks healthy and clean and most important "smiles" so we know they are being well looked after. We also feel welcomed by all staff when visiting and have all the time for us. They seem keen to know the residents history so are able to better relate and hold conversation with the resident. Management are also excellent.

Since my mother has been at Longview approx 4 years she has been very happy. She now mixes well with others and has gained weight. Seconds are readily available to those that want it. Some staff take the time to talk to mum, mum has her favorites. My mother never smells and her room is always clean and tidy. I feel happy and can relax with knowledge that mum is being looked after.

Hello, my name is Jean Pierre.

I am the Deputy Manager at Longview, having recently joined Runwood Homes. Although I am still new to the company, I have felt very welcomed by the team. In my role, it’s incredibly important to me that our staff feel just as cared for as our wonderful residents. Supporting one another is key to creating a happy and positive environment for everyone.

Outside of work, I’m someone who enjoys life and stays active. I love cooking, running, music, travelling, and watching action movies, but most of all, I treasure spending time with my family.

I’m passionate about creating a positive and fun environment with my team, knowing that a joyful atmosphere makes all the difference. When our residents are smiling and content, I know I’ve done my job right.

I once managed a whirlwind trip to Milan for Christmas shopping—there and back in just one day!

I love spending time with my two daughters and partner. Travel is a big part of my life; I enjoy holidays abroad the most, but I’m just as happy with a relaxing weekend getaway.

Hi, I’m Stephen! I’ve been part of the Longview family for 14 years, starting as a carer, then working in activities, and now proudly serving as a Care Team Leader.
