Millard House is a friendly and caring family run home for older people in Bocking, Braintree. They are proud to be a Gold Standards Accredited Purpose Built Care Home with a CQC 'Good' Rating (July 2018).

Millard House is beautifully refurbished, has CCTV for peace of mind & is set within charming garden areas which includes a new area for children.

The home's friendly team of fully trained staff strive to ensure residents' rights, choices and care needs are met with dignity and respect and to the highest possible standard. Chefs offer a choice of fresh homemade meals, desserts and cakes for all dietary needs.

Millard House's activity coordinator maintains a varied activity programme to ensure everyone is kept socially and mentally active throughout the day, the home also enjoys visits from entertainers and shows on a regular basis.

The home offers day care services with a full range of activities and have close links with community organisations and school groups and works closely with GP's, district nurses and other professionals to ensure the wellbeing of residents.

Residents can enjoy the home's large gardens which are wheelchair accessible and user friendly with a courtyard area containing raised flower beds.

All the staff and management are lovely, friendly, caring and professional. My only worry is that there are not enough staff for the number of residents, the staff always seem under pressure.

We are very happy with all the staff who take every care of Mum's needs and welfare. There is an excellent atmosphere, which is reflected in both the staff and residents. It is always clean and well-kept. Mum is very happy to be here.

Mum has been a resident now for over a year and is looked after and cared for and always enjoyed her time at Millard House. All staff are excellent and always there for her.
Millard's is clean and is always engaged with all residents.
We, as a family, are so happy that Mum is safe and happy at Millard's.

There are no words to describe the care of this wonderful care home. After several weeks in hospital my mum of 94 was taken back to the only home she knows now. The aftercare on her return as always has been excellent. The support, care and love are just amazing from the manager to every member of staff

Mom was put into respite care while I was on holiday. The staff have taken care of her exceptionally well.
She never has a problem in coming here. If I need a place for her to stay, I will not hesitate to request a place at Millard House.

Millard House is a very warm and welcoming residence. Residents are treated with care and dignity. Less able residents are assisted by members of the care team in a supportive and caring way. Management and team are professional and work well together.
Food and drink are of a very acceptable quality.
The atmosphere is one of peace and calm. Activities are catered to all needs and occur on a daily basis. A very nice care home.

My mother-in-law has been in Millard House for just over 2 years.
The staff are always lovely with her, they are caring, compassionate, and super friendly. Nothing is too much trouble at all.
It doesn't matter what time of day we turn up; she always looks clean and well dressed and her lovely room
is always immaculate!
They provide good entertainment and activities throughout the week, which she enjoys, especially the singers!
Millard House has a homely feel that's always very clean and nicely furnished.
We always have a warm welcome on arrival and always leave in the knowledge that she is content and well cared for. Thank you, Millard House.

Cleanliness is second to none - everywhere is immaculate.

Clean, well cared fro and staff caring and attentive. Food good and plentiful. Nice clean bright bedrooms and my friend is happy with it. The only downside is when needing help the response is sometimes slow, which I do understand is difficult when you have so many to care for.
Would recommend Millard
House to anyone.

Since our mum has been in Millard House, they have cared for her so beautifully. They know her needs and ensure that she is as independent as she can be. They are gentle, kind and professional in their work. We are so pleased that she has settled in Millard House. She says she is spoilt. Thank you to
every member of staff who helps her feel safe and at home. She loves the time on activities as well. The staff monitor Mum, check she has all she needs. We are really happy with her care.

Mum has been at Millard House for just over a month. It has been very trying, Mum has found it hard to adjust but all the staff have been amazing, caring, compassionate and have kept me informed every step of the way. She is now becoming more settled and seems so much happier. I can't praise these lovely

As a current volunteer at this care home - it has been such an amazing experience; the staff have been very accommodating and always trying to start a nice conversation with me.
In addition - speaking to the residents during activities, I can really see that they love the care and support they receive
due to the high standard set by this home.
