In addition to the secure courtyard where residents can sit and chat and enjoy the summer with pleasant potted plants and hanging baskets, there is also a new innovation. This year there is a mini allotment for residents to grow their own produce, a welcome addition for residents to become involved in and then to enjoy the ultimate in home grown vegetables.
Silvanna Court hosts the Wickford area Alzheimer’s Society support group, which is designed to help local relatives, friends and carers of people with any form of dementia.
The support group is open to anyone who needs support, advice or information on dementia related matters, be they emotional, medical, and financial or just need of a sympathetic ear.

Never demonstrated they were time limited which I am sure at times they were, wonderful, outstanding home.

At Christmas, they took the time to take residents out to the local for lunch. The attitude and care was exceptional to them all (I can be critical as I am a nurse, but I saw the carers did genuinely and fondly care). May I say a big thank you to all the staff at Silvanna. After 80 years of caring for others, my mum is now being cared for perfectly.

It is very good to know that my mother is in a safe and caring environment.

Our mother lived at Silvanna Court for almost four years until her recent death. My sister visited daily and I visited at least once a week. The care she received was excellent! Although initially mum was able to be fairly independent, over the last year she became increasingly reliant on the carers whose patience, kindness, gentleness and yet still ensuring her as much dignity as possible was fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend Silvanna Court to anyone.

Here at Silvanna Court, we strive to provide a secure and pleasant setting for each individual resident, catering to their personal needs which allows for the enhancement of their physical and emotional well-being during their stay. We have a wonderful Wellbeing Team who encourage our residents to partake in any activities like Bingo, quizzes, and arts and crafts. We also have themed days, days out and entertainers on a regular basis in the home, which families are always welcome to join.
