Stafford Hall was recommended to me by the local services for a temporary placement for my mum a couple of months ago. Although slightly apprehensive at first, we have found the home to be a welcoming and very friendly place. My mum has settled in well and made friends with the other residents and seems to be enjoying herself there. The staff have been very kind and keep me updated. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff for their continued hard work.

My mother has been at Stafford Hall for around 10-years. She now has severe dementia and has been on end-of-life for the last three years. The care she receives in the home is exceptional from everyone.
She is unable to do anything for herself and is unable to communicate. The carers are patient and kind. They wake her, wash and dress her and take her downstairs to be with the other residents for the day. The staff involve mum as much as possible in the daily routine of the home and make sure they help her with meals, drinks and snacks – which she couldn’t do for herself. They also have to hoist her and take her to the toilet often. All of these things they do while chatting and laughing with Mum to encourage her.
The home is clean, bright and well run by the management and there’s a ‘family’ bond between all the staff.

As mum can no longer move or speak to me, I have found it very difficult at times, and they have helped me to cope with the situation.

I am extremely happy with the care that is being provided for my mother who has been with the home since February. As a family, we have noticed how happy she is and we enjoy all the photos and videos that we are updated with regularly on social media. We can not thank the staff enough for all their hard work and commitment that they give to the residents, especially at this very difficult time. Whenever we ring the home we are able to speak with our mum and nothing is too much trouble, the staff are very helpful. Thank you.

My mum has been at Stafford Hall for the past three years and I couldn’t wish for better care.
The staff know each resident so well, knowing their own little habits and needs.
My mum has often been seriously ill and admitted to the hospital on two occasions. Each time when Mum returned back to the home, she was nursed back to health with such care and love.
The staff have been really good at updating my mum’s care plan to meet her challenging, changing needs.
During these challenging times of Covid19, I couldn’t have wished for better care. The staff have continued to keep in contact with Mum. It’s lovely to see how happy she is with all the activities; the staff have engaged with for all the residents. Her hair has continued to be set by staff and her nails painted.

She has really enjoyed the choir that takes place every day, and I have never seen her so happy. I don’t have a bad word to say about this care home; it is a family who is quite united.

Each time I've visited my Nan I've been so happy to notice how well the carers and staff are so caring to all residents. The place is beautifully decorated with a lovely garden and there's a real sense of calm about the place. Since lockdown, we've not been able to visit my Nan but the staff post regular updates on all the residents, showing so many lovely activities they are encouraged to take part in. It's such a good place for my Nan and I feel confident that her best interests are paramount there.

My nan moved into Stafford Hall in January, and the staff were so welcoming and mindful of how scary and how much of a change it was for her and did their best to put her at ease. Until we were unable to due to the Coronavirus lockdown, I visited almost every other day along with my one-year-old daughter and other members of my family, we were always met with a clean happy environment and friendly staff and residents.

My nan has since settled in fine, enjoying the activities and trips put on, and the staff have gone out of their way during this pandemic to put her and our minds at rest regarding the other's welfare, and to keep the resident's spirits up whilst they cannot have visitors. I am so pleased that my nan can be cared for in a place like this with such a homely environment.

My mum moved into Stafford Hall six weeks ago. It was an alien environment to her and she had many 'down' moments, but something wonderful has happened. She is settling in and has made friends. She now goes down to the dining room every day for all meals and her general attitude is good and she is being more social than she has been in many years, having lived alone. I read stories from families saying how they saw an improvement in their family members after entering a residential care home and I'm pleased to say they were right: It's exactly what's happened to my mum. The staff are just lovely and very caring and engaging. I feel very confident that Mum is safe and secure and being looked after, to a high standard: especially important during the current coronavirus pandemic.

Mum was referred to Stafford Hall in November and I have found the care given to her of an excellent standard. The home has a really cosy environment. Mum has made friends and is now eating very well, unlike when she was at home. I have found the staff very helpful and open to talk about Mum and her care. There is a lot of attention to detail to Mum's needs and would recommend the home.

My dad had been living at Stafford Hall for just over six months now and it is very much his home. We have been so happy with the level of care and support he receives and feel that the staff and residents are like one big family which makes such a difference to other bigger homes. My Dad has recently been unwell and had to spend time in hospital. During this time I've been in touch with staff and everyone has been so caring and supportive genuinely wishing dad well. I'm happy to say dad is now out of hospital and back home and we felt so lucky that he was made to feel so loved and welcomed on his return. Dad's needs have changed a bit but we are so confident that the staff will meet all his needs well. They are so efficient with adjusting care plans and risk assessing and completing all the relevant paperwork but more importantly to us they are great at treating dad as an individual and know exactly what he likes and needs. We feel so so lucky that Stafford Hall is Dad's home.

Despite mum being confined to her bed being unable to communicate, I am confident that she is interacted with on a regular basis throughout the day. Small things such as applying her make-up show care and goes beyond mums medical needs. The recent change in leadership has greatly improved staff morale and given Stafford Hall an uplifted and vibrant feel. Not the most modern of buildings but the gardens are a bonus in the summer. Most importantly I feel I can discuss any issues that arise with the appropriate level of staff and that mum is being cared for in a way we are unable to do at home.

My mum has been looked after at Stafford Hall for over 2 years. During her time her condition has naturally worsened, yet the staff are always on hand to help and always with a smile and caring attitude. This week mum had to have a bed bath due to her condition and the care that was taken was excellent. As her family, our ideas and concerns are always listened to and acknowledged.

My grandmother is in the end stages of her life. Stafford Hall are doing all they can to make her comfortable and keep her dignity.
The staff are caring and approachable.

The home itself could do with some updating (decorating, etc.) but this is just cosmetic, it doesn't affect the service the team provide.

I have been visiting my friend in this home for nearly seven years. As soon as I walk in the door I see smiling faces. Of course, there are problems from time to time but these are usually solved (if mentioned) and all is well.

I would be happy to recommend a visit to anyone looking for a care home for themselves or a member of their family.

From walking in the door, it felt warm and homely. The staff all know who you are and are so helpful. The main thing I like is I can come at any time unannounced and ring at any time. My husband has only been in this home for a short time but they went out of their way to let us have a little party for his birthday with all the family and baked a cake. I am content to leave my husband there and know he is being well looked after which wasn't the case in the last home where he was before coming home.
