My mother was a resident at Tye Green Care Home for the last 7 months of her life. She was very happy there and was cared for very well. My mother was not well enough to go out of her room for most of the time during her stay but she had a great rapport with the staff. We were kept very well informed
regarding my mother's health and general care needs and were always made to feel welcome as visitors (it was very hard for the staff when Covid restrictions were in place but even then they welcomed us within the regulations). I think the manager is great - always approachable and upbeat and happy, and several times I was there, I saw him popping in and out saying hello to all the residents. He clearly has a very "hands-on" approach. The staff are all lovely. My mother died in Tye Green Lodge, this was her wish at the end, as for her it had become her home. They ensured that her last weeks were comfortable and as easy as possible. I can't thank them enough.

From the moment the phone was answered from the first time I rang, the helpfulness was second to none. I cannot thank the manager and all the staff enough for their help in such a difficult time. Everything was fantastic. My one and only thing I would change is the wearing of masks. I know this might
be a rule, but the majority of residents are hard of hearing, and they make it more difficult. An expression or a smile would make the difference.
Reply from Deborah Yadev, Marketing Manager at Tye Green LodgeGood day, and thank you for the review. We try our best every day to extend high standards of care and support to those requiring this.
The Government guidelines outlined the wearing of PPE and masks across all care homes, not just to safeguard the amazing residents, but everyone visiting and our staff. We understand some older persons require reading the lips and expressions of people, and this was regretful in those instances, however; we were able to keep them safe and healthy for a longer period.
Have a lovely day!

My mum entered Tye Green Lodge in August 2021. From that very moment, her care was excellent. She was safe, secure, well looked after and happy. All the staff really cared and did all they could to be helpful, along with their professional abilities. Mum was cared for but we as visitors were also shown
care and helpfulness. Mum passed away in May and through that period, all the staff showed total care and treated all with total dignity. I could write many words but 'Tye Green Lodge and staff are excellent' sums it all up.
Reply from Deborah Yadev, Marketing Manager at Tye Green LodgeGood day and please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of an amazing woman, your mother. We were pleased to have known her and be a part of her journey. Good wishes to you and the family.

My mum could not have received better care than she had in the last few months of her life. Her room was spacious, bright and cheery. The staff were amazing and the cleanliness and covid restrictions were complied with but I was able to see Mum as much as I needed to.

I am never met by a more cheerful, pleasant lady. She works tirelessly and always greets me with a warmth that is hard to find these days. She always has the time to speak to me and update me on activities that she does for my mum and all the residents. This is difficult at the best of times as she
has so many visits to organise and to make sure that all covid procedures are adhered to. this lady is the best advocate that Quantum Care could have. A fine example of how someone in this profession should work and act at all times. You should be proud Quantum Care.

Very grateful for the care my mother-in-law received whilst in the care of Tye Green Lodge care home, during the last three months of her life. Excellent manager and senior carer - they did everything possible to help us during her time in their care. Thank you to the whole team, from cleaners to cooking
staff and of course, the great manager and care staff for the professional way they conducted themselves. Thank you.

The care my mum received at Tye Green over a period of two and a half years word's cannot describe. Carers all go above and beyond their care for all the residents. My mum was treated with the highest quality care, and carers have always encouraged Mum to get up when she was having a bad day and to
eat drink and take medication. Mum's clothes were kept clean and looking nice. The building always spotless, including Mums bedroom. Mum enjoyed her meal times and was always served great meals, which she enjoyed very much. Mum's health deteriorated this last 17-months after the death of her daughter; the staff were so supportive and done a wonderful job trying to keep Mum motivated, encouraged Mum to join in daily activities. Mum spent her last week very poorly, all carers were excellent showing so much kindness, care and support keeping Mum's dignity at all times. Again, going above and beyond their duties. There are no words to describe them or the care Mum received, including the manager and team - simply outstanding

Mum is on end of life care. The family were called, five days down the line, she is still going. The staff are exceptional with the care they give to Mum and the care towards the family. Nothing is too much. The management and office staff were very helpful in a very difficult time. Tye Green could
not do enough for us and continue to do so.

Due to Coronavirus have been unable to visit my 92-year-old mother since March but have eventually managed to visit due to arrangements made by Tye Green Lodge. Very professional with the safety of residents the main priority.
Reply from Tilly Leitao, Customer & Sales Co-ordinator at Tye Green LodgeThank you for your kind feedback. Whilst our homes have done a wonderful job keeping our residents in contact with their loved ones through phone and Skype calls, postcards etc, our recent garden visits, with social distancing measures in place, have been extremely successful in reconnecting families. Nothing can replace the joy of seeing your loved ones in person. We are so pleased to hear that your recent visit with your mother went so smoothly for you both. We look forward to seeing you again soon at our next garden visit.

My mum has been at Tye Green Lodge since December 2018. Throughout this time, the care given to Mum has been excellent in all aspects. My mum has settled in fully and frequently says how good the staff are to her, how great the food is and how happy and fortunate she is to be at Tye Green Lodge.
Our
whole family has always felt welcome when visiting Mum at the home. I am a very frequent visitor, arriving at different times of the day and sometimes in the evening and I am always welcomed.
Tye Green feels like a home and most definitely is not an institution; there is a strong undercurrent of care running through the home - nothing is ever too much trouble.
The way that the home has coped with the COVID-19 situation has underlined the amazing dedication of the lovely carers and management team - they have been outstanding in the most difficult of circumstances.
It is so reassuring for us to know that mum is very well looked after and for Mum to feel safe and happy.
Reply from Tilly Leitao, Customer & Sales Co-ordinator at Tye Green LodgeThank you for this wonderful review which reflects the amazing care provided by the staff and the management at this home, especially during these difficult and unprecedented times. The staff will be really pleased to hear of your praise which will no doubt help make their day. It’s a genuine pleasure to hear that you mother is very satisfied with her care and support whilst living at Tye Green Lodge. We look forward to your company at our garden visits with social distancing measures in place, which have been so successful in reconnecting families and friends with their loved ones. My mum worked in a care home until she was 70 so we wanted the best for mum and we found Tye Green. The grounds and upkeep of the home are first class, the food is amazing such a variety, the entertainment is great and enjoyed by all those who wish to go. As for the carers, I know them all and they
look after mum as they would their own family. Tye Green Lodge is the best.
Reply from Tilly Leitao, Customer & Sales Co-ordinator at Tye Green LodgeThank you for this wonderful feedback regarding the high-quality care and support provided to your mother by the staff at Tye Green Lodge. My mum is so happy at Tye Green. Staff are so good with her and as she has been there for 8 years now it's a great relief to see her happy and content. She has her "little" ways but they take it in their stride! Also, food is good and plentiful. We are both happy and I am thankful I found Tye Green
for her, to spend her last years in such a happy place, it's lovely.

My father has been in Brays Grove for just over two years. Overall his care has been excellent.
However a few concerns recently - the restructure of removing managers for senior carers seems to put too much on the carers. Lots of experience has been lost to the home. Workers that we have complete trust
in have left.
Now the carer is leaving. Also, we would seriously request that a particular member of staff is brought back to Brays Grove, please.
Reply from Tilly Leitao, Customer & Sales Co-ordinator at Tye Green LodgeThank you for this review. We are pleased to hear that your father has received quality care throughout his 2 year stay at Tye Green Lodge. With regard to your concerns, we encourage residents, families and friends to speak directly with the Home Manager, so these can be discussed and resolved satisfactorily. The safety, wellbeing and happiness of our residents is at the heart of all we do and we are keen to improve the quality of our services in line with current industry standards and practices. These will also provide our staff with industry leading training and career development opportunities for the future.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.729)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.729) out of 10 for Tye Green Lodge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 19 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.754 for Tye Green Lodge is calculated as follows: ( (177 Excellents x 5) + (46 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 228 Ratings = 4.754
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Tye Green Lodge is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 61 registered maximum number of service users is 12.2, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
