Our whole family has always felt welcome when visiting Mum at the home. I am a very frequent visitor, arriving at different times of the day and sometimes in the evening and I am always welcomed.
Tye Green feels like a home and most definitely is not an institution; there is a strong undercurrent of care running through the home - nothing is ever too much trouble.
The way that the home has coped with the COVID-19 situation has underlined the amazing dedication of the lovely carers and management team - they have been outstanding in the most difficult of circumstances.
It is so reassuring for us to know that mum is very well looked after and for Mum to feel safe and happy.
Thank you for this wonderful review which reflects the amazing care provided by the staff and the management at this home, especially during these difficult and unprecedented times. The staff will be really pleased to hear of your praise which will no doubt help make their day. It’s a genuine...
My mum worked in a care home until she was 70 so we wanted the best for mum and we found Tye Green. The grounds and upkeep of the home are first class, the food is amazing such a variety, the entertainment is great and enjoyed by all those who wish to go. As for the carers, I know them all and they look after mum as they would their own family. Tye Green Lodge is the best.
Thank you for this wonderful feedback regarding the high-quality care and support provided to your mother by the staff at Tye Green Lodge. One of Quantum Care’s Core Values is that "Our residents are at the heart of all we do", and your review supports and sums this up perfectly. The staff will be...
My mum is so happy at Tye Green. Staff are so good with her and as she has been there for 8 years now it's a great relief to see her happy and content. She has her "little" ways but they take it in their stride! Also, food is good and plentiful. We are both happy and I am thankful I found Tye Green for her, to spend her last years in such a happy place, it's lovely.
However a few concerns recently - the restructure of removing managers for senior carers seems to put too much on the carers. Lots of experience has been lost to the home. Workers that we have complete trust in have left.
Now the carer is leaving. Also, we would seriously request that a particular member of staff is brought back to Brays Grove, please.
Thank you for this review. We are pleased to hear that your father has received quality care throughout his 2 year stay at Tye Green Lodge. With regard to your concerns, we encourage residents, families and friends to speak directly with the Home Manager, so these can be discussed and resolved...
Wonderful staff, nothing is too much trouble. Very fond of staff.
The food is disgusting and not the sort of food you would give to a pensioner.
The care home is tired and dated and smells - it needs a good tart up and air fresheners.
They need more activities going on.
Quantum Care manages 25 care homes. We take complaints seriously and our Complaints Policy is visible in the Reception of each of our homes. We operate an “open door” policy where residents, family members and friends can raise any concerns directly with the Home Manager in order that, where...
My mother has been a temporary resident at Tye Green Lodge and I found the care to be excellent. I especially commend the carers and management team. The staff are very approachable and indeed are very caring and take the worry about leaving your loved one in a residential home. Thank you to everyone at Tye Green Lodge.
Thank you for this kind review which we very much appreciate. We are pleased that the high standard of care and support provided by the staff and management at Tye Green Lodge has been of real benefit to your mother and yourself during this temporary placement.
We are treated like family by all the staff and always made welcome when visiting.
Thank you for this lovely feedback. We are pleased to hear that the kindness shown by our hard-working staff extends to the resident’s family and friends too. We look forward to your visit again soon.
- Accommodation very clean.
- Management very helpful and showed great empathy and respect to my mother.
- A very difficult decision to make to put my mother into a home. I was made to feel comfortable throughout the process.
My partner was a resident in Tye Green Lodge for the last 6 months of his life. From the first few hours there to the day he was transferred to hospital for the last time, he was made welcome. He was well cared for, the staff were so pleasant and friendly to him and to me. As his dementia advanced, he still retained his individuality and the staff continued to treat him as an individual, with respect and humour, which suited his personality. I got to know the staff well, always seeing the same carers in Copshall wing. Regular entertainments and activities to enjoy and good meals. I visited him frequently without giving any prior notice, morning, afternoon, meal-times; I was never made to feel it was inconvenient and I could see all the other residents, with differing needs, were treated well and appeared to be quite at ease and content. I have told my family I would be happy to be a resident there if the need arises in the future.
Thank you for this wonderful feedback that acknowledges the high standard of professional care provided by the staff at Tye Green Lodge.
At Quantum Care, our residents truly are at the heart of everything we do. We are privileged to meet so many wonderful people in our homes and provide care...
It has taken me weeks to do this, only because I am truly lost for words whilst trying to describe how superb Tye Green Lodge is. My dad sadly is now at end of life care status but even so well perhaps even more so his team (Copshall unit) just could not do more for him. His room and the entire lodge is kept spotless although sadly dad is now on a smooth only diet even this they assure me he enjoys. Virtually all the time now is asleep but somehow they still manage to keep him immaculate and fed!
Thank you. We really do appreciate you taking time to write such kind words of praise for the quality of care provided to your father during this important time by the staff on Copshall Unit. We are extremely proud of our staff who go the extra mile and genuinely care about our residents and their families too. We will ensure your comments are passed on to them. Thank you once again.
I have been a visitor to Tye Green Lodge care home for the past seven years. First to visit my wife's sister (now deceased) then sadly to visit my wife who is a resident to date (both with dementia). In all that period of time, I have found that said care home has been very supportive in every way, both to residents and visitors alike. Management and staff "work" well together in all aspects of residents' care plans and general residents' day to day duties to include medication, meals and welfare.
My husband has been a resident at the above home for 3 and a half years. After some initial problems with him settling in. He is now as happy as one can be with dementia.
During the time that she was laying on the floor, staff took it in turns to lay by the side of her to help her and try and comfort her.
I arrived from my home near Gatwick at 11am and a member of staff gave me information on what had happened and comforted me before I lay on the floor with my partner as well and gave her some reassuring cuddles.
It turned out that she had fractured her left hip and it was the right thing to do by laying on the floor. (Also because I am disabled they did everything possible to make me comfortable and also assisted me up and into the ambulance with her).
My father has been living at Tye Green Lodge for over a year. It is lovely. He has been in another residential home but it was not like Tye Green and I worried about my father's health and Care. I have no concerns for my father now. He is happy and well cared for. The staff are so kind and attentive. I think choosing Tye Green was the best decision we could have made and dad agrees wholeheartedly.

Meet the Team (3)

I enjoy cooking and interacting with the residents, it’s really good to be able to make food they like eating that also supports their well-being.

The Deputy Home Manager shares responsibility with the Home Manager for running the home. Deputy Managers will each bring their unique skill set to the home, some offering more assistance with the business side of things, while others focus largely on care. However, whether they look at it from a business or care perspective, the focus of the Deputy is always to ensure that their home is offering the very best quality of life for our residents. Experienced and either holding or working towards their qualifications, Deputy Home Managers are capable and driven to provide the best of everything for their residents.

The best part of my job is that every day is different.
Getting to know the residents and hearing about their lives is lovely as well.
