Myself and mum had a few teething problems at first as was all new to us and daunting, but after a few days she settled in well, says the nurses are brilliant attending to her needs as she is alert but her mobility is failing her. I can see they care for the resident's wellbeing.

She really enjoys the food but would like 2 slices of toast instead of 1 in the mornings she does love her food, the dinners she says are spot on, very nice.

They recently had a bbq party which was fantastic, decorated throughout, Elvis impersonator was great, lovely spread of food, raffle. Thanks for great day.

My father has been here two years, in the time he has been here he has gained weight and seems much more content in his surroundings. Due to his dementia, he doesn't always recognise me when I visit but there is no doubt from his reactions that he loves and is loved by those who care for him. Excellent communication with us from staff concerning his healthcare.

My aunt is staying at Milton House. She has always been treated with dignity and kindness. The staff are always friendly, helpful and very kind not only to my aunt but to me and my mother (my aunt's 86 year old sister).

My aunt is 98 this year and is very settled and happy to be at Hilton House.

If you are looking round Milton as a potential place for a loved one, please don't be put off by the decoration. Its a little worn and dated (although they are currently decorating and what they have done so far looks very good), look beyond that as this is a lovely Care home with staff who work very hard and genuinely care about their residents. They are friendly, hard working and make every effort to make the residents and their visitors feel happy and part of an extended family. The Manager has gone out of her way to help us with any queries we've had and has done everything within her power to make sure our Mum receives the very best care within Milton and from the doctors who visit. It's a difficult decision to make, placing the care of a loved one into someone else's hands, when you know you can no longer do it yourself, but the whole family feel confident we have made the right decision for Mum and are very pleased with the care she has received over the past year.

Giving up your home is a hard decision to make but I'm sure we did the right move.
I see he's in a secure and safe place.

The care and attention is very good. Any problems, he only has to pull the cored and help is at hand.

In my experience, the care staff are very approachable always willing to help with any concerns I may have about my mother.

They are very hard working and help with their cheerfulness to lift the residents.

I am often there at meal times and the food looks very appetising.

A really friendly home and there's always plenty of food and drink. Mum's room is cleaned regularly and she always has clean clothes on. Mum looks 20 years younger since she has been at Milton House and is more mobile and happier than she has been for years.

My relative required an urgent placement, and the manager and colleague came to assess them almost immediately after the Social Worker requested it. Agreement to take my relative into the home was made, and I was asked just to give 20 mins before bringing my relative in, to allow them to get the room ready. On arrival, the room was made up with the favourite colour of my relative - beautiful bedspread and bedding, and the pictures of the family which we'd given had been put out. My relative is not only well looked after and cared for, they are loved by the manager and the team. My relative has greatly improved in health and wellbeing, and is enjoying the activities, food, friendliness, and benefitting from the services of visiting chiropodist, hairdresser. Nothing is too much trouble and when I visit I can see and hear that all residents receive a high level of care, support and attention. I cannot be happier that my relative is at Milton House.

My husband has been here since the 28th of August after a short unsuccessful stay at another care home. Since the 20th of May he has been in and out of hospital a lot and is now very frail. I am very happy with the care and attention he gets at Milton House but most importantly he has now settled and is happy with the care, food and activities etc.
