My husband went into Basingfield Court for a week's respite, when putting the wheels in motion I received every courtesy & help and being the first time of him being away I was reassured that he would be safe & well looked after which was confirmed after his week's stay. He has mobility issues and every available help was readily available they offered all sorts of activities and stimulation, which is a must for mental wellbeing. We were both very happy and would not hesitate to use Basingfield Court again

Thank you for sharing such lovely feedback. We're pleased to hear the respite stay felt reassuring from the outset and that the support for mobility and wellbeing made a real difference. It's wonderful to know the activities and stimulation helped him feel safe, engaged and well cared for.

I am very appreciative of the staff care and pleasant attitude to some of the great difficulties experienced through lack of water and heating. Hopefully they are near the end of the great improvements and just maybe my towel improvement meets with my satisfaction!

Basingfield Court has very kind and friendly staff. The hard decision for my husband to go into care has been easier because of the kindness of the staff, they even show concern for me!
Nice atmosphere in Basingfield Court is nice (doesn't smell like a care home).

The food is so good, and the variety and quality are excellent, with concern for personal preference.

We have had a very good experience of Basingfield Court since Mum moved in. It has a very homely feel, and is very clean and well maintained. Mum enjoys the the food and the daily activities. She is eating and drinking much better since moving here.

We particularly like how the staff support each other in the work that they do and in keeping each other cheerful. This upbeat attitude and environment rubs off on the residents and means that Basingfield Court is a very positive place.

My mum entered Basingfield Court Care Home with symptoms of Dementia & falls. From her arrival she has been welcomed and treated with the utmost respect and kindness from all the staff across the home. To see her smiling from ear to ear every time we visit is heartwarming as we initially felt guilt at placing her there but I can honestly say she is happier there than she was living with us. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Basingfield to any potential residents. Thankyou all for giving us peace of mind

My mother was a resident for 6 1/2 years. Especially in the last 2 or 3 years her care has been good. She was treated as an individual and given careful care as she weakened and eventually became bedridden. Activities were varied and imaginative and although she did not participate in many, she enjoyed most of them.

My mother came to Basingfield Court for 6 weeks of respite after a period in hospital. The difference between when she came in to when she left was amazing! She was brighter, more alert and more able and independent both physically and mentally. The home has a nice atmosphere with incredibly caring staff. Mum loved the food and even put on some much needed weight.

Basingfield Court Residential Care Home is a very ideal place for my mum-in-law. The staff are very warm and welcoming. Everyone is very friendly and my mum-in-law was very comfortable with everyone in her three-week stay when she was there. She cannot speak English so she was given a sign chart to be able to express herself which was very good. I will definitely send her again for her respite. A big thank you to all the staff members for taking care of her.

My husband, who has Lewy body dementia, recently spent two weeks respite care at Basingfield Court Residential Care Home. The manager is very caring and professional and the staff were friendly and helpful. My husband had a lovely room on the ground floor which gave him easy access to the communal/dining room. The staff ensured that he attended the entertainment and was not left on his own in his room. I was happy with his care and have booked another respite stay later in the year. I would rate the home good but with a couple of improvements, it could be excellent. 1) Offer male residents a daily shave. 2) Implement a process to monitor residents' fluid intake. 3) Ensure a member of staff is in the dining room during mealtimes, encouraging to eat more.

My dad moved in early January and took a few weeks to settle into his new surroundings. He is very comfortable in his new room which is home from home with all of his things around him. He has made a few new friends, enjoys the activities and is very happy to have the help and support from the staff.

I am so happy that we chose Basingfield Court Residential Care Home. The staff are incredible, it really is like being at home, friendly, happy and cosy. I couldn't be happier.

Dad has been a resident of Basingfield Court since April 2023. It was quite a wrench leaving his own flat to move to a care home after independent living. Since arriving, he has been shown nothing by kindness from all the staff at Basingfield Court. I cannot praise them enough. Nothing is too much trouble, and I feel Dad is treated with the utmost respect. He chooses to spend most of the time in his room as he's not the most sociable of people, but the staff make a point of going to sit with him regularly so he can chat with them about anything he wants. They give him time and the opportunity to engage. They actively encourage his hobbies and try and find occupations for him to fill his time. I find all the staff and management to be very warm and friendly, always a welcoming smile to greet me when I visit and a quick chat, which is just lovely. Dad has told me he is extremely happy there, and that's the best result I could possibly ask for.
