From our first visit where we were shown around to see what Beechwood had to offer we were very impressed. It felt right for Mum, we had viewed another place but didn't like the feel of it, so we were pleased with how this felt.
You cannot fault the staff they are all very caring and compassionate towards the residents, they treat everyone with kindness and empathy, be it residents or visitors. This includes every member of staff whatever their role is.
Unfortunately Mum was only there for 15 days and was unable to enjoy what was available to her. During that time she was very well cared for and so were we, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff
Thank you so much for such a lovely review of our home. Mum may have only been in our care for a short time but it was very obvious she was well loved by the amount of visitors we welcomed on a daily basis. I will pass on your kind words to the rest of the team and I have no doubt that they would...
Thank you Hayley and all the team at Beechwood.
Peter
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It has been our pleasure to care for your mum for the past 8 months and she will be extremely missed by all staff and the many residents that she has struck up good friendships with. I have no doubt that seeing her family more frequently will bring her tremendous joy and we wish her all the best in her new home.
There are always lots of activities big or small going on at the home, organised by the wonderful activities team.
Her room was comfortable and spacious, and she could easily roam the home with her zimmer frame.
There was never a time that she was restricted or told off, she would go and inspect the cooks to make sure they were peeling the potatoes correctly.
You could visit at anytime and it was no issue, the team are always approachable for any queries. Visiting the garden in the summer time is a real treat, I think I will continue to drop in at Beechwood in the future and check on the staff and residents.
I would like to thank all the staff for showing my grandmother such love and care.
Thank you so much for writing such a lovely review. Your grandmother was a very special lady and not one to be forgotten. We will miss seeing her hat collection and having her check on staff throughout their shift. Your family became a big part of Beechwood and so many of our residents enjoyed your...
This has taken me some time to be able to sit down and reflect back on my Dad's time at Beechwood House, The care and compassion that was shown to my Dad was second to none. All staff was so supportive to my Dad and also very supportive to the rest of my family, Beechwood is kind, compassionate and attentive with person-centred care. The home is clean & fresh and very welcoming. Beechwood focuses on high quality clinical care in a warm environment and always focus on my Dads dignity and respect.
Thank you so much for your kind words. On behalf of all staff I would like to say that it was an absolute pleasure to have cared for your dad. His memory lives on within Beechwood with his wall plaque and our residents shop. I'm glad the family felt supported at such a difficult time. I will share your review with the team.
They have an excellent support system in place for her care and support, I cannot fault it.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It is an absolute pleasure to care for your aunt; she has a wonderful character and we are so pleased with how well she has settled into the Beechwood family. I will pass on your kind words to all the team.
My mother-in-law was only at Beechwood for a short time but during her time there she was treated with so much compassion and respect. All of the staff at Beechwood are amazing, nothing was ever too much trouble. There was always a kind word, a hug when needed and they helped us through a very difficult time when mum passed away.
I must mention not only the wonderful medical and admin staff, but also the amazing people running the kitchen and the cleaners.
My wife died in May but her passing was made infinitely easier for us by the advice and ministrations of the nurses and carers.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It may have only been 10 weeks, but you all became such a big part of our Beechwood Family. I am glad the staff helped make a difficult time a little bit easier. I will share your kind words with everyone here and our garden will always be open for you to visit us.
She was given a beautifully decorated room close to the nurses station. During her 2 months there she was cared for as though she was their own relative. Unable to speak, it was clear from her reaction to the staff entering the room that she had a very close relationship with them.
As a relative they were absolutely wonderful to us during a very emotional period for us. They were supportive, kind and so understanding. Mum passed away there this week and they supported her and us every step of the way.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. Our company vision is for family values and passion to be a part of how we care for everyone, I am so pleased that this is being achieved to such a high level. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to care for your mother and provide support at such...
Fantastic staff eager to help so caring and thoughtful, home very clean residents are so happy we'll looked after, beautiful garden, food is all home cooked and tastes wonderful , medical care is first rate
Thank you very much for taking the time to review our home and staff. It is an absolute pleasure to have your father-in-law reside with us and to have you and your family provide friendship and warmth to our other residents each time you visit. We are especially grateful for the ongoing pet therapy which has brightened up so many faces each week.
Not only do they care for residents but they are there for family and friends alike. They are reassuring in difficult times and always there with a friendly face.
Their website says family and this is certainly one big family.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. It always gives our staff a boost to know that their dedication and passion to care is recognised. It has been an absolute pleasure to care for your friend and I am so pleased that he will be staying with us permanently. I hope to have a neighbour as supportive as you have been to him, in my life one day.
The staff could not have been more helpful or caring, they are all dedicated to the comfort and best quality care for all their patients. My experience from my husband's admission to his death could not have been made any easier. They are very friendly and always ready to explain or assist at every opportunity. I would recommend Beechwood House Nursing Home to anyone who needed a positive experience of a nursing home.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. Your husband was such a lovely man and it was so nice to have you and the rest of the family in for visits. So many other residents looked forward to you all coming in as well, we were extremely lucky that it was our home that had the opportunity to meet you all.
Beechwood House cares with all of the NHS values at the forefront of all they do.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. It was a pleasure to have been able to care for your father, I know it was a difficult time for you all as a family. Our staff work very hard to ensure everyone is treated with kindness and respect, from the resident to the relatives. I am delighted that we were able to support you as a family at such an important time.
My stepfather has been in Beechwood since November 2023, the level of care has been outstanding. All staff work hard to ensure all needs are met. The home is spotlessly clean, food is excellent and varied. Entertainment is good, always something going on to keep the residents entertained. Laundry service is good. All staff are warm and welcoming every time I visit, anytime, day or night
Thank you so much for such a lovely review. We are so pleased he chose to reside in our home and it has been an absolute pleasure to get to know you both. We look forward to ticking some things off his bucket list with him.
A big thank you to all the staff at Beechwood. They looked after my grandmother for the last 4 months of her life and all the staff were kind, considerate, helpful, and absolute stars. Thank you for everything you did - it was very much appreciated.
Thank you so much for your kind words. The staff work extremely hard and positive feedback does mean a lot to us! It was an absolute pleasure to care for your grandmother and she will be truly missed.
Both of my parents are very happy at Beechwood House, Mum has been a resident for several months and Dad has arrived more recently. They were both made to feel welcome from the moment they arrived and settled in very quickly. The care they receive has never been short of exceptional. All of the staff are always so cheerful, considerate and caring; there is a real family vibe that makes it feel very homely. As visitors, we are greeted warmly at any time of day and we're kept up to date on Mum and Dads wellbeing. We always leave the home in good spirits, reassured that their individual needs are being well catered for.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. It is an absolute pleasure to care for your parents and see them continuing to enjoy life by each other's side. We strive to create that home-from-home atmosphere so I'm pleased to know that we are succeeding. I will pass on your kind words to the staff. We look forward to continuing to support you all, in whatever way we can.
There are no words to describe how thankful and grateful myself and my brother are to you all for the love, care, kindness, and respect that was shown to our dad. Our dad was only with you for a short while before he passed, but he was so very well cared for. Everyone at Beechwood House are truly amazing! Filled with love, kindness, respect and amazing care. Nothing is too much trouble, everyone goes above and beyond. We will never forget what you did for our dad and can never thank you enough!
Thank you so much for your kind words of praise. Our staff work extremely hard to support both the residents and their families and positive feedback is always appreciated. It was an absolute privilege to have been chosen as the place of care for your dad. I will pass on your wonderful review to the team.
Coming out of hospital very poorly and disorientated, it didn't take him too long to settle in and improve as much as his condition would allow and this was down to the care and attention of the wonderful staff and the great cooking from the kitchen staff!
He built up a real rapport with many of the staff and had such lovely banter with them and genuinely seemed very happy there.
There is a real family feel and you are made to feel welcome at whatever time of day you go in!
My dad was listened to by all members of staff who would carry out his wishes but were very mindful of his safety as they were of all their residents.
The dignity that he was treated with at the end of his life was overwhelming and we can't express how grateful we are for that and the support they gave the family.
I would 100% recommend the team at this nursing home 5*.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It is so rewarding for the staff to get this kind of feedback. It was an absolute pleasure to care for your dad and see his character shine through with his humour and dinner speeches. It was lovely to get to know you all as a family and we hope to see you again soon.
The staff are friendly, residents seem happy most of the time.
Thank you so much for your review, your feedback is very important to us. I will share this with the staff and hopefully, we can improve response times for all visitors. It is our absolute pleasure to care for your husband and get to know you and the family.
My dad came to Beechwood House Nursing Home for the last few weeks of his life. The amazing staff throughout. Staff were there for his needs 24/7. Couldn't have wished for anything better for him. 100% in every way. They went above and beyond. Thanks ever so much everyone.
Thank you so much for such a positive review. It was a privilege to support your father during his time of need. If you ever need anything in the future, please do not hesitate to ask. We offer support to both residents and their loved ones.
All staff are very kind and gentle to my husband and always polite to his family and make them welcome. He has only been with them a few months and instead of a very angry man, he is now back to his old self. I did not want to leave him in the first place but now we know we have done the right thing. I will say a very big thank you to all the staff for giving me back the gentle kind husband I did have.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review. It is an absolute pleasure to care for your husband and to see him enjoying time once again with you and the many many children/grandchildren you have is a rewarding feeling.

Meet the Team (2)

Over the course of three years, I gained invaluable experience in crisis management and emergency care, working in a fast-paced and challenging environment. This experience strengthened my clinical skills and prepared me for a return to elderly care. From 2016 to 2019, I progressively advanced through roles from Senior Night Nurse to Clinical Lead and eventually Deputy Manager across two care companies.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was entrusted with the responsibility of acting manager, guiding my team and ensuring the safety of both staff and residents during an unprecedented global health crisis. This experience enhanced my leadership abilities and equipped me with the skills necessary to step into my current role as the registered manager of Beechwood House, a position I have held since January 2021.

Michaela has worked at beechwood house for 11 years in many different job roles. She initially worked as a Night Care Assistant and studied to gain her NVQ 2 before progressing up the ladder to a senior role. She completed her NVQ 3 course and soon became a great leader and role model to ensure the residents night care needs were met to a high standard.
Michaela now works as the Administrator. She has worked in this role since the summer of 2022. Her deeper understanding of the residents care needs and the demands of the job made her the ideal applicant for this internal job move. She uses her knowledge to underpin her administrative tasks and her pre-existing relationships between both residents and their relatives can continue to develop.
