Overall Experience

We have 2 relatives at Bethel House, both suffer from Dementia at different levels. We are happy as we know that they are both safe and happy living together at Bethel House. The staff are friendly and caring. There is no high turnover of staff, which makes things much more settled for the Residents. We believe the success of Bethel House is down to the caring attitude of the staff and the management team. The manager has been excellent but is moving from Bethel House at the end of March, we wish her well and hope that an equally able manager is appointed shortly.

Bethel house provided a very caring environment which mum called her home. Her room was cosy and spotless mum was treated with kindness and compassion at all times and we witnessed many times carers exceeding our expectations. We felt mum was treated with respect and dignity by carers who genuinely cared about her. Bethel house offers a very comfortable home from home atmosphere with good food and outstanding care to residents and emotional support to families, we have nothing but praise and thanks.

I am very happy living here. Any little accidents that may occur (water works) staff always deal with my requirements discreetly. If I am feeling low a member of staff will give me a cuddle which makes me feel better.

Abbey DoyleJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2012

I am proud to have joined Bethel House. It is important to me that the residents, their families and the staff team feel welcome, cared for and supported to enable them to build good relationships and happy memories for the future.

We will be working together to support the residents' sensory needs to enable them to have a holistic well-being while living in our home, by encouraging them to be involved in the social community of the home at the same time encouraging them to remain as independent as they are able to. Smiles, warmth and kindness will greet everyone who visits Bethel House.

Harold SantiagoJob Title:Head of CareJoined: 2017

I joined Hartford Care in January 2017 as a Senior Care Assistant at Bethel House in Barton-on-Sea in Hampshire, subsequently qualified as a Care Practitioner and have since been promoted to Deputy Manager.

The only goal I wanted to achieve when I joined Hartford Care was to make a difference in enriching and improving our residents’ lives and to create opportunities for them to live fulfilling lives.
