It is early days as my mother has only been in Bethel House for a month but so far I am very impressed. She has a lovely room and the staff are very aware of her needs. I think a little more help could be offered regarding her toiletry needs but overall I am happy and so is my mother.

My mother has been a resident at Bethel House since October 2014. Her medical problems include coronary heart disease, spinal osteoporosis and vascular dementia. As my mother's health and level of dementia has deteriorated with time, the care she receives has matched her needs. I have found the home to be a welcoming environment and the care staff are kind, patient and treat the residents with respect. The management team are excellent.

I visit my best friend and previous neighbour fortnightly at Bethel House. It brought tears to my eyes when she said to me 'I love it here'.

The staff are amazing, welcoming and attentive. The whole place is a joy to visit and being able to email my friends family about her is great and my friend can be seen on their website from abroad.

I moved my Mother into Bethel House in May 2018. This was a very difficult decision to have to make as no-one volunteers to leave their own home. I found the management and staff at Bethel House incredibly sensitive and helpful in getting her through the initial period of adjustment and getting her settled. I was able to set up the room as I wished to make it as familiar and comfortable as possible with lots of family photographs and her favourite reclining chair. The home is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with lots of natural light. The staff treat my Mother with dignity and respect. The food is excellent with a varied menu. As I do not reside in the UK and cannot take care of my elderly Mother myself, I feel confident that she is in the safest and best possible environment with genuinely good people taking care of her 24/7 when I am not able to. I receive regular updates and staff are quick to respond to any issues that need to be addressed.

My mother is now into her fifth year living at Bethel House, a place she calls home which, in itself, is a compliment to the staff and reassuring to me to hear her say those words. She has been encouraged to join in activities, of which there are plenty, which she enjoys but her privacy is respected when she wishes to spend time in her room. When visiting her we are made welcome and it is evident that there is a good rapport between staff and residents. The refurbishment which took place last year has given Bethel House a very bright, happy, homely atmosphere for the residents to enjoy and together with the garden and the location of the home, make it perfect!

My mum suffers from dementia and terminal bowel cancer. Since her arrival at Bethel House she seems so much more relaxed, she's more positive. I cannot praise the staff enough, they can't do enough to make sure she is happy and comfortable. Thank you all, you've made us feel so relieved and taken a huge weight off our shoulders knowing she's being cared for.

This care home is an extremely friendly and open plan place for residents where they are free to walk around from the dining area to the large sitting room and if the weather is good there is a large garden area where residents can walk freely and even do gardening on raised beds, my father currently resides here and is very happy with his surroundings where he can use the kitchen area if so required to get himself a drink. There are regular activities which the residents are encouraged to join in with and visits to various places of interest. The rooms are clean and well maintained and have all that is required for residents to have comfortable living space. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help if required including calling if any issues arise which require family input so in all I would highly recommend this care home.

My mother has been in Bethel House for two and a half years. As a family, we have felt that Bethel House has been an excellent choice of Care Home.
We have always been incredibly impressed with how caring, patient, friendly and supportive all the staff are and above all treat Mum with dignity.
The current Manager leads her team by example and the home is very well managed with all the facets being well facilitated.
We have always been comforted by the fact that we can raise any concerns about Mum with the Manager and any of the Carers and they have given us their time, patience and support.

Bethel House's bright, friendly atmosphere, the very caring staff, the freshly cooked meals and the improving activities all make for a Care Home I would definitely recommend.

My mother moved into Bethel House in mid-Feb following a couple of lengthy stays in hospital. She had been refusing to eat or drink and one of the doctors told me that he felt she had given up on life. Since becoming a resident at Bethel, with gentle encouragement, she has gradually started to eat and is beginning to gain weight which in turn is increasing her strength and mobility.
After living alone for over 30 years she found having carers in her own home very unsettling and got quite angry when they tried to help her. In the care home environment, she seems more settled, the care team are very good at determining her mood and will leave her to do things in her own time if she refuses help in the first instance.
All the staff are incredibly friendly and always smiling which gives the place a lovely welcoming atmosphere.

Everyone is very approachable and I'm sure that if I ever have any concerns about my mother's well being I will be able to discuss them openly.

My mother was a resident at Bethel House for five years. I was extremely impressed with the care, friendship and support offered to her through the final years of her life. The staff were always friendly and considerate and I formed the impression nothing was too much trouble. There was always someone willing to discuss my mother's care with me. The care offered adapted as did my mother's needs. She was equally well supported as an active Alzheimer's sufferer as she was towards the end of her life.

I would like to thank Bethel House for the outstanding care my mother has received. The home is well managed and the staff have a clear understanding of the needs of residents with dementia and genuinely care. They have shown my mother real love and kindness and nothing is too much trouble. I am always made to feel welcome and offered refreshment. The food is good and adapted to the needs of individual residents. Communication with me has been excellent. I would recommend this home.

My ex-husband, the father of my children is in Bethel House, Barton. I have visited on a number of occasions and I just want to make it known how impressed I am with his care there. The manager goes above and beyond with her caring and lovely nature. She is very supportive both to my ex-husband and also to my daughter and my two very young granddaughters. She makes them feel welcome.
My daughter has had to make some very difficult decisions and also has had to have a lot of dealings with government departments and also had to keep his location private for reasons which I cannot go into, but the manager has really been so very helpful with all this.
Other staff members have always been excellent and caring too. Always a smile and kind words to everyone.
I have seen many care/nursing homes, having worked in a few, also my mothers care in a nursing home and I can truthfully say, this is the nicest one I have ever been to. Both the home, the quality of care and the staff.

I thank you all.

Since my father has been in the care of Bethel House, my family and I have been very impressed. We feel he is very well looked after an cared for. If they have any concerns, they are quick to pick up the phone and communicate, this we feel is very efficient and not always the case in this sort of home. When we go to visit, we are always offered a drink etc too, always nice as makes it feel home from home.
As a mother of young children, they have always been welcomed too, which makes life a lot easier. The manager is always happy to discuss things too, which again is lovely.

All round a positive environment.

Mum recently moved into Bethel House as she is no longer able to live independently. All the staff are excellent, always friendly and welcoming and the residents are treated with kindness and consideration.

The food is good and the rooms are clean and tidy. Knowing mum is being well cared for helps give our family peace of mind.

My partner had been there for a year, he was well looked after, well fed and staff were lovely. Really homely and not too big. Staff get to know all the residents. Would have been pleased for him to stay longer but he, unfortunately, died this week.

I have been really happy with the way my mum is cared for at the home. She is happy and has settled well. She chats to staff and residents. I know that she joins in with activities as the carers are able to tell me about it and I see pictures in the newsletters. Staff are always welcoming when I visit and readily tell me when I need to know anything and I feel that they are very approachable.

I am proud to have joined Bethel House. It is important to me that the residents, their families and the staff team feel welcome, cared for and supported to enable them to build good relationships and happy memories for the future.

We will be working together to support the residents' sensory needs to enable them to have a holistic well-being while living in our home, by encouraging them to be involved in the social community of the home at the same time encouraging them to remain as independent as they are able to. Smiles, warmth and kindness will greet everyone who visits Bethel House.
