I cannot recommend Oak Tree Lodge Care Home highly enough, the management and staff are exceptional and treat my Dad as if he were their own Dad, which is exactly what you want from a care home. They go above and beyond to make everyday personal to him and have even gone to some extraordinary lengths to decorate Dads room with everything he loves. They also make us feel like we are part of the family, are so accessible and keep us extremely well informed of every aspect of his care. I can certainly rest at night knowing how well cared for my Dad is and couldn’t be happier with every aspect of care they provide.

My Sister, Brother and I would like to say how caring, kind and thoughtful the staff were to our Mum who came to Oak Tree Lodge in July 2020.
Mum sadly passed away in October but you made her final days as comfortable as was possible in the circumstances with Covid and with all the visiting restrictions. We can see how everyone is so dedicated to looking after and giving and going beyond what is needed.

I would therefore like to thank all the staff for their kindness and support at what is a very sad and difficult time. Thank you.

The staff at Oaktree are incredible. They looked after my grandmother for 8-years before she recently passed away from old age. They treated her with dignity and loved her, which made our whole family extremely grateful.

Oak Tree Lodge has given exceptional care to our grandmother. The staff are wonderful and have treated her like their family. Great thought goes into the daily activities which include music, art and cooking - for someone with dementia these have been incredibly important to Nana. Thank you for looking after her so beautifully in her final years.

My nan has been at this care home now for over 8-years. The current management is amazing. They really care about the residents and treat them like their own family. There are great daily activities with lots of music which the residents love. I know that my nan is looked after, and I am provided constant updates about her care.

I would highly recommend this home.

Oak Tree is a small care home. We are delighted with the level of care our Mum receives. Everyone is kind, compassionate and empathetic, they always have time to listen to us as well as our Mum. During this challenging time (Coronavirus) we are pleased that our Mum is so well cared for in such a safe, caring environment. We have regular social media photo updates and can contact at any time, which is so important and reassuring.

Mum required full-time care. Social recommended several homes but we knew Mum would not have been happy in any. As she was self-funding, we wanted her to have the best. On walking into Oak Tree Lodge, we knew this was the one, it was home from home. The bedroom she had is the one in the photo, very similar to her own. Our tour was very thorough and everything was explained i.e. care/entertainment etc. Food was lovely home-cooked and we were offered refreshments each time we visited. Mum loved the carers as if they were family, it was so comforting to see the care she had. She was checked upon every 2-3 hours and turned each time to make her comfortable. She was also turned through the night as my Husband and Brother witnessed as they were bedside for the last week. Expensive?? Maybe but a 5-star hotel B&B without the care received here would cost more. All Staff were so loving so caring so professional. Mum passed away at 99 having been there for 6 months.

Thank you staff.

This is a small friendly care home working with the residents best interests at heart. Like all care facilities, you are never going to find the 'perfect' place but Oak Tree Lodge comes close for my mother. The staff are always welcoming and chatty and work hard to make the residents stay as comfortable as they can. The home cooked food is always of a high standard - they have recently had a change of cook, so we hope the quality will be maintained.

Oak Tree Lodge is a well-run home with a family atmosphere. The home and garden are continually being redecorated or upgraded. Staffing: Efficient, caring manager and staff that are well trained, organised and attentive. The catering staff are very good at producing home-cooked meals, making birthday cakes and various celebration foods and the kitchen is always in good order. First-rate care with medications and keeping the family informed. Joy is also on the agenda at Oak Tree Lodge with weekly in house functions, garden parties/BBQ's in the summer, fancy dress parties with all the seasonal events celebrated. All in all, very very good and gives the service users family peace of mind. Well done to the owners, managers and all the staff.

My mother is well looked after at Oak Tree Lodge. The staff are caring and spend time with her and all the residents. Although mym has dementia they involve her in activities and she especially likes music.

They have ensured she has a doll that gives her comfort. The food is excellent and her bedroom is spacious and always fresh.

Oak Tree Lodge is a small, very friendly care home.

The relationship between the staff and residents is outstanding. Nothing is ever too much trouble and all the staff are very professional. Although the building is small, it is very well maintained. I would not hesitate to recommend the home to anyone wanting real value for money care for an elderly relative or friend.

This is a delightful small home with a family atmosphere. The staff are without exception caring and friendly and prepared to go the extra mile and treat every resident with respect. Residents are encouraged to take part in simple activities but only if they wish to do so. Everyone enjoys the man with the keyboard who plays favourite songs of yesteryear.

Oak Tree Lodge Care Home is a very special place for any elderly person requiring care.

I previously submitted a review in December 2015 following my mother becoming a resident in January 2015 followed by my father in February 2015. My father passed away in September 2016 and my mother in February 2017. Both my brother and I, including our families, will always be extremely grateful to all the staff at Oak Tree Lodge for the care and time given to them and for making their final days as comfortable as possible and for the support given to us.

I would like to thank all the staff at Oak Tree Lodge care home. You all made my father very welcome, with the care and support you gave him. When choosing a home for a parent it can be very daunting and upsetting but my brother and I could not have found a better place, it was homely, friendly and the care offered was tailored to my dad's needs. The last few months of my dad's life were happy and this was down to the compassion and consideration shown to him by all at the home. Once again we would like to thank you all.

My mother has been a resident in Oak Tree for five years. She has always been treated with the utmost respect and kindness. The staff show a wonderful level of care - nothing is too much trouble for them. The small size of the home means that it is a home from home and not at all clinical - a really nice environment for residents.
