Our family will always be deeply grateful to all the staff at Crofthead Care Home for the care and compassion shown to our beloved mum during the last 7 months of her life.
From the moment she arrived, our mum was treated with dignity, kindness and respect. Staff took the time to really get to know
her and that made an enormous difference to her comfort and wellbeing. Nothing ever felt rushed or impersonal- there was always patience, warmth, reassurance and laughter.
Staff were consistently attentive and professional and we were kept well informed throughout. We always felt listened to, supported and welcomed.
In our mum's final days, the care provided was outstanding-calm, compassionate and focused on her comfort and dignity.
We take great comfort knowing that our mum was safe, cared for and treated with such humanity at the end of her life. We cannot thank the staff enough for the kindness they showed her and us. Crofthead Care Home will always hold a special place in our hearts.

My dad came to Woodbine Manor Care Home for a two-week period of respite care to give my mum a much-needed break. From the moment he arrived, the team at Woodbine were incredibly kind, patient and caring. We truly couldn't have asked for more. Dad settled in very quickly and seemed happy in his own
way, which meant a great deal to us. We were able to visit every day and were always made to feel so welcome, with the team regularly offering us a cup of tea or coffee. The lounge area was spacious, bright and very clean, and Dad's room was also clean and comfortable, which helped him feel at ease. We would like to say a very special thank you to all of the team for making some of his final days such a calm, caring and positive experience. It meant more to our family than words can say.

From my experience here it is well run and managed.The activities here are varied and keep me engaged and connected. Our Dad had dementia. Despite full daily and nightly home support, he became increasingly fearful and confused. Heartbreakingly, he often saw me, not as his daughter, but as an intruder trying to con him.
And then he moved into Hallamshire Care Home.
What a profound, positive change.
Over the next
4 years we enjoyed numerous fun outings and activities that we would never have dreamed possible. Together as father and daughter again.
Hallamshire's culture is one of true care and support - for residents and for friends and family. That natural ability to respect and gain trust and rapport is rife - not just amongst the care staff, but all staff.
A spell in hospital saw Dad spiral into fear and confusion again. The change back to his calm, smiling self when he got back 'home' was instantaneous and astounding; proving to us that the Hallamshire environment was absolutely the best medicine.
I cannot overstate my gratitude and high recommendation. Suffice to say, 'Can I pre-book a room?'

Oaklands Care Home originally cared for my father between 2021 and 2022. He received excellent care when he was there. When my mother got to the point where she needed greater help than she was receiving at home, we had no hesitation in asking Oaklands to care for her from mid 2025, initially on a respite
care basis and now as a full time resident. Beti and her team are caring and professional and always do their best to provide an excellent service, whilst working in conjunction with family members to keep them appraised of day to day issues.

I can't speak highly enough of this care home. From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. The staff are kind, patient, and attentive, and it's clear they truly care about the residents as individuals, not just as part of a routine.
Communication with families has been
excellent, and we've always felt informed and reassured. The environment is clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a calm and friendly atmosphere throughout. The activities on offer are thoughtful and help residents stay engaged and supported both socially and emotionally.
Most importantly, our loved one has been treated with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times. Knowing they are safe, well cared for, and happy has given our family real peace of mind. We're extremely grateful to the whole team and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home to others.

My mum has been in Nightingale care home for 6 years, she has always been cared for in a way that I would expect to care for a family member or myself. the staff are exceptional, they hug, hold hands, dance and play games with all residents. My mum is very settled here, she always looks clean and smart
especially when she's been into the hairdresser who visits weekly! Mum's wellbeing is very important to me and knowing she is in Nightingales is very reassuring, I can't recommend them enough! Well done to the manager and all the team.

My dad has been very well looked after. All health concerns are dealt with using excellent care while maintaining dad's dignity. The facilities are superb, clean and well looked after. I have zero complaints about the staff, all professional and approachable with dad's seal of approval which is a high
bar.

Our relationship with Charlton Kings Care Home stretches back decades, to when they used to take care of my grandmother for stretches of respite care. When it came to a time that we could no longer care for my parents in their own home, CKCH became a home from home, a place where my parents were truly
loved and able to continue to see each other every day whilst being kept safe and taken care of by the kindest, most loving team you could ask for.
Leaving CKCH really brought home to me how extraordinary the relationship was and is - it goes far beyond client and provider. There are too many individuals to name, but they cared for my mum and dad physically and emotionally, and opened their doors to us as a family too. I miss you all, team!

My mother is very happy and settled in Orchar House. The staff are attentive and very kind to the residents. My Mother had a wonderful 100th birthday which would not have been possible without the staff going above and beyond to make her day so very special.

My partner joined Nightingale in May 2025 and was immediately welcomed as part of the family, as were we all. He has benefitted from the love and care by all the staff, but I was still dreading our first Christmas without him at home. Instead we all had a lovely time and were involved in lovely activities-
parties, pyjama day, karaoke, visiting singers and local school choir. It was such a loving atmosphere, we got so much from our Nightingale Christmas and really appreciate everything done for our family.
