My Mother in law needed respite care after having a fall at home after being discharged from hospital. We looked around a few local care homes and was impressed with Dryclough. My MIL settled in fairly quickly and made a few friends which she would be sitting and chatting with on all my visits which
was so nice to see, as she was starting to isolate herself. The staff are lovely, nothing is to much trouble and really supported my MIL in getting back on her feet and helping bring her confidence back. My MIL is now back at home, but already planning her next stay when we go on holiday in a few months.

An elderly relative experienced a couple of weeks of illness, leaving her unable to look after herself at home.


At very short-notice, we were able to secure her a room at The Orchar for a period of respite while we arranged care at home.


From the moment she arrived, the staff could not have been

kinder nor more attentive. The staff gently encouraged her with her nutrition, exercise and engagement with the other residents. As a result, she very quickly began to feel like her old self again.


She thoroughly enjoyed the food, the attractive communal areas and the privacy of her spacious room.
With care at home arranged, she was able to leave after 3 weeks, having made many new friends and some special memories. She has been back to visit and was given another warm welcome.


I would definitely recommend The Orchar, for the quality of the care provided and the peace of mind it gave us as a family.

I am really happy with the care that my mother receives from all the staff at the Hallamshire Care Home.
They keep me informed of any changes to my mother's health and any visits she has with the doctor and the outcome of those visits.
All the staff treat her with the care and respect that I would
expect and engage her in the many activities that the home provides on a daily visit.
It is a very friendly and homely environment and I am made to feel very welcome on every visit.

My mum is very particular & after visiting many establishments she finally decided Brampton Lodge was the place for her. She has settled in well now, (a bit rocky at the start) but we are very happy with how things are progressing. Staff are very welcoming and caring. Her room is delightful looking
out into the garden which she particularly enjoys. Catering is good & varied - I recommend the homemade veg soup from Mother's Day menu! Any concerns are addressed & dealt with immediately.

It was a heartbreaking day when we had to make the decision for Dad to go into care to protect our mum's health. He didn't seem bad enough to need it but every one of the Nightingales staff have made it so much easier than it could have been. Their kindness, care for Dad and obvious love and fondness
they have for the residents is outstanding considering the range of personalities they are managing on a daily basis. The housekeeping, laundry maintenance and catering staff are not just efficient but really good at what they do. The management and office staff could not be more helpful and the whole atmosphere is one of love and laughter despite the ravages of dementia on residents and their loved ones watching on. Jane makes every day full of fun and goes out of her way to include all the residents in activities. It's still hard saying goodbye and leaving Dad there every day but it makes it so much easier leaving him with the Nightingale family who are now part of ours.

Our family will always be deeply grateful to all the staff at Crofthead Care Home for the care and compassion shown to our beloved mum during the last 7 months of her life.
From the moment she arrived, our mum was treated with dignity, kindness and respect. Staff took the time to really get to know
her and that made an enormous difference to her comfort and wellbeing. Nothing ever felt rushed or impersonal- there was always patience, warmth, reassurance and laughter.
Staff were consistently attentive and professional and we were kept well informed throughout. We always felt listened to, supported and welcomed.
In our mum's final days, the care provided was outstanding-calm, compassionate and focused on her comfort and dignity.
We take great comfort knowing that our mum was safe, cared for and treated with such humanity at the end of her life. We cannot thank the staff enough for the kindness they showed her and us. Crofthead Care Home will always hold a special place in our hearts.

My dad came to Woodbine Manor Care Home for a two-week period of respite care to give my mum a much-needed break. From the moment he arrived, the team at Woodbine were incredibly kind, patient and caring. We truly couldn't have asked for more. Dad settled in very quickly and seemed happy in his own
way, which meant a great deal to us. We were able to visit every day and were always made to feel so welcome, with the team regularly offering us a cup of tea or coffee. The lounge area was spacious, bright and very clean, and Dad's room was also clean and comfortable, which helped him feel at ease. We would like to say a very special thank you to all of the team for making some of his final days such a calm, caring and positive experience. It meant more to our family than words can say.

From my experience here it is well run and managed.The activities here are varied and keep me engaged and connected. I find it generally very friendly here and the staff are attentive and constantly nice to me and caring. The food is nice and is varied! Overall my experience here so far is really good
and most importantly I feel safe and secure.

My mum is very happy at Wavertree. She has settled very well, and her home is her room. Olly was great at putting up pictures. All the staff have been and still are fantastic! They are so caring, kind, and do everything they can to make the residents feel comfortable, happy and safe. The welcome at
