My mum has been in Crofthead Care Home for a year and a half and it has been the best decision we have made. The staff are all lovely and very supportive of us all. My mum has been more settled and has a nice wee group of friends which is lovely to see. The communication is very good and we are always
kept informed of any issues, activities and general information. I would always recommend Crofthead to others considering a caring nursing home.

The staff in Crofthead Care Home are first class. Since my mother came into the home she has been treated with kindness and great care. The facilities are excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend Crofthead to any relative looking for residential care.

This being my first introduction to care home living, I was naturally apprehensive. Being unaware of what I was entering made me watch my step to start with, but gradually I got used to my new environment (and it got used to me, I hope). Various things I have to get used to but with the help from the
staff (all levels) I think I'm adjusting quite well. I am lucky to have a good relationship and I have frequent friends who are made welcome and keep me in touch with my past life. In short, we've got used to each other as we're going to spend a lot of time together. Things could be worse but I know it's going to get better. Thanks, Crofthead Care Home!

Warm friendly with excellent communication to resident's family members. Keeping relatives up to date with resident's progress since admission e.g his medications which has recently been renewed. He is encouraged to keep active with staff e.g football in the corridor, dancing with singer in attendance.
This actually has improved his sleeping.

The staff are all kind and helpful. My sister's mental and physical condition continues to deteriorate, but at least I can take comfort in the fact that I know she is being cared for which is important to me as my health isn't great just now.

Nurses and care assistants receive regular training and give residents the support they need. Managers and admin staff are always available and willing to help when required. Relatives are kept appraised, through regular meetings of how ht home is being run. There appears to be good camaraderie between
the staff. The catering department prepares a wide selection of meals to suit all tastes. A variety of activities are offered and many relatives and friends enjoy seeing what has been happening on the home's social media page.

Living at Crofthead, in this relaxed, friendly, and nurturing environment, means that Mum benefits greatly from the seamless and professional 24-hour care. It is clear to me that Mum's needs and preferences are taken into account in all aspects of her care. I can also see that staff use their skills
and knowledge, and their ongoing relationships with Mum, to ensure that her individual health and well-being needs are met. The facilities are excellent and the management are very approachable. Mum's verbal comments and her general demeanour give a strong impression that she feels safe, included, and happy here. I have experienced real support from all staff, as a relative.

Cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional and genuine care, support and friendship given to my mother since becoming a resident in March 2023, which has also extended to myself (from both front and back of house staff members).
Having visited numerous care homes in the West Lothian area, Crofthead
is head and shoulders above the rest in all aspects - cleanliness, approachable and professional.
Regularly informed of updates regarding my mother and invitations to family/themed events eg: coronation, Mother's day celebration etc. Good food, activities and always a friendly/family atmosphere.

Mum feels secure and safe. She is well looked after and adaptions are made for her changing needs. She cannot always communicate but staff have learned to 'read' her body language. Communication is very regular and takes a variety of forms: email, phone, social media and of course face to face. The

Every member of staff made a great effort to settle my mum into the care home which was very reassuring for my family. The home had a friendly atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble. We were impressed with the level of excellent care she received throughout her short stay.
