Oak Tree Lodge provides excellent care with staff who are understanding and patient, ensuring Mum's needs are met as an individual.
Staff are supported to undergo training to maintain high standards of care and to keep up to date with new practices.
The rooms are attractively decorated and a lift and specialist bath equipment is installed.
There is a bright sunny conservatory for residents and families to sit and enjoy and most afternoons activities or entertainment is provided.

Hairdressing and chiropody services are also available.

Mum has only been at Oak Tree Lodge for a few months. She settled in very quickly and is happy, on most of my visits she tells me how kind all of the caregivers are and that they can't do enough for all of the residents. I agree and feel that all the staff are friendly, kind and caring. The home has a happy community feel to it and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Mother has been a resident at Oak Tree Lodge since February 2014. She chose it despite not suffering from dementia - Oak Tree Lodge specialises in this type of care. Her care has been warm, supportive and tailored to her needs. The environment is clean, bright and welcoming. My mother prefers not to socialise with other residents, her wish for privacy has always been respected. In her 100th year my mother could not wish for better care.

My mother has been a resident at Oaktree Lodge, Ashurst for 3½ years. She is always treated with the utmost respect and sympathetic care from what I have seen this level of care extends to all residents. Families and friends are encouraged to call in anytime so we see a range of highs and lows that are ever present for elderly folk with dementia. I can not speak more highly of all the staff. They are kind, full of fun and approachable. The Christmas and Summer parties are delighted and very heart warming without their support I would have floundered.

Overall Experience

All the staff seem very caring and helpful. The food is cooked on the premises and there is a choice. All the residents look very clean and tidy. Would like a few more activities but that would mean paying more no doubt. The staff are very kind and try to reassure those resident who have dementia. There is very little "turnover" in staff so they get to know the resident well.

Excellent. I would like a little bit more feedback from the manager. But I will now ask.
