Overall Experience

I have been visitng Tegfield for Several months now and I have always found the home warm, welcoming and friendly. Everyone seems to be so happy. The Manager and Staff are always polite, accomodating and refreshments are always offered on arrival. I get a service with a smile which seems to be very rare these days. Everyone you see around the home always say "Hello". The gardens are amazing and I particularly love the beach themed area and the aviary providing focal points of interest. Everyone is like one big family. I have got to know some of the other residents in the home that join in with a chat which is so lovely. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone and whoever is fortunate to live at Tegfield they will be very happy indeed

Overall Experience

I am extremely happy with the quality of care provided for my mother at Tegfield House. Since Mum moved in full time in March she has been very happy and she settled in really quickly. Mum loved Tegfield House from the moment she started day care in January, so she was delighted when a room became available for her. She is eating well again, enjoys taking part in the activities and she enjoys the companionship. There is a lovely, family atmosphere at Tegfield House and the staff have been consistently welcoming and friendly. The staff know Mum well and I am reassured that I am leaving her in good hands. I have found the communication and support to be excellent.

Sarah Robertson
Sarah RobertsonJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2023

I am honoured to introduce myself as the manager of Tegfield House. With over 30 years of experience in elderly care, I have always been passionate about ensuring people living in care homes are supported to live their best lives. This passion led me to join Hartford Care just over a year ago as the deputy manager, and I am thrilled to step into this new role.

Tegfield House is such a special place. Our home is more than just a care home; it is a family where we celebrate each individual's uniqueness, whether they are residents or staff. At Tegfield House, joy, laughter and treating everyone with the respect and level of care we would want for ourselves is something I deeply value and intend to uphold.

As we move forward together, I aim to ensure that we continue to provide outstanding care and maintain the warm, family-like environment that makes Tegfield House so wonderful. I look forward to working closely with all of you to create a place where everyone feels valued, happy, and well cared for.

I have been working in the care sector for 10 years, 7 of which were spent at Hartford Care. I began my journey at Tegfield House as a Care Assistant, gradually progressing to Senior Care Assistant, and currently, I hold the position of Head of Care.

I enjoy working at Tegfield House because it has a warm, homely atmosphere, and we continue to grow and develop as a team. I hold NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications and am currently working towards completing my NVQ Level 5.

I am excited to watch Tegfield House expand and continue offering exceptional care to those in need.
