Your staff were all exceptional, helpful and kind. If I were to find fault it would be to remove dead flowers from vases. Food (sandwiches especially) could be presented more appetisingly. I noticed that when the chief cook did them they were and looked much more appetising! It was after my investigation, I found out that it was the chief cook that had done them!

Thank you everybody, very comfortable stay.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments which will be useful as we aim to continuously improve our service.

I appreciate your feedback about the sandwiches, and can confirm that I have already discussed this at our kitchen staff meeting and involved the team in a discussion about how...

I have been a regular visitor to Woodley Grange care home in Romsey for two years - my mother-in-law has dementia. Never did I expect that one day I would end up as a temporary resident! I am in my late sixties and have had a hip operation that did not go as well as hoped - I was discharged from hospital to Woodley for a week of care. The first thing that struck me is how nice the staff are to each other - it is quite normal here for staff to hug each other at the start and end of each shift. This is important as it permeates the culture here. Very small acts of kindness are very important as they are mundane and ordinary and happen all the time - a carer sits with a resident, holds her hand and listens to the same story told over and over again smiling, a temporary guest turns up at the front door for a respite stay and the staff exclaim " oh it's G" with obvious pleasure at seeing her.

Care, compassion and kindness define the ethos of Woodley Grange

I love going to see Mum, she is so happy here, she's got a group of friends and they laugh, also the social media page is brilliant so when they do their activities or go out they put lovely pictures up so I can see what Mum is doing, all (most) of the time.

Staff are so friendly and lovely, it's a lovely atmosphere. They are all wonderful.

All of the staff at Woodley Grange are without exception very caring, helpful and approachable which in my opinion is the most important element for the care home. My mother is very happy and content at Woodley Grange and often tells me so. I am totally happy and have complete peace of mind knowing that my mother is in such good and caring hands.

Very friendly staff. My mother is in for 3 weeks respite. We couldn't have wished for more, she gained weight and built her confidence back after a few falls. Excellent service.

My husband and I had to place my aunt in Woodley Grange a few months. We were really concerned about what the impact on her would be. We can’t thank the staff at the home enough for the care and compassion they’ve shown her. We have previous experience of care homes and can honestly say that Woodley Grange is an outstanding home. Everything from the professionalism of the staff, the facilities, the cleanliness, etc. Really are first class.

From my very first visit to Woodley Grange, I have been really impressed with the lovely welcoming staff, the home itself and the gardens which are well-tended and a wonderful outdoor space for the residents. Over the years I have visited friends and family in various care homes and I can honestly say that Woodly Grange surpasses them all. It has a happy home feel and the various activities arranged for the residents are superb. The latest is a small allotment space where residents chose what will be planted and help to tend the area. Should I need to live in a care home this lovely place will be my choice and my friends and family know this. In a nutshell, Woodley Grange is a very special place.

My mum moved into Woodley Grange two months ago and we have found everyone to be really friendly, professional and helpful. Having looked at a number of homes in the local area we really wanted Mam to be a resident which they arranged at really short notice. Someone is always willing to answer questions and help Mam adjust to her new circumstances and surroundings. We definitely made the right choice.

Genuine and caring staff without exception, a very well-run care home where both the residents and staff are happy. My mum has been here for 18 months; we visit most days and so see the care at close quarters. Woodley Grange staff have been very flexible and continue to respond to changes in Mum's capability/understanding and care needs (she has dementia). The activity programme runs every morning and afternoon, ranging from craft to music, entertainers and trips out. Residents are actively invited to take part. The home invites new ideas and acts on suggestions. We looked at about 40 care homes and visited 8, so can comment with some context - Woodley Grange is a happy, active place which suits my mum well and we would highly recommend it.

Love seeing all the photos and videos on social media so I can see my nan nearly every day and all the activities she is doing. Sometimes her flowers don't get watered enough but we make sure they do when we come.
