Woodley Grange Care Home is registered to provide care for the elderly with a wide range of needs and offers the highest standards of residential and dementia care.

Set amongst beautiful grounds in Romsey, with easy access to the M27 and M3, the attractive buildings and mature gardens provide fantastic accommodation for 45 residents.

Woodley Grange has recently been refurbished to the highest standards and using the latest dementia design principles, which they have found to have a hugely positive impact on residents. The home boasts spacious, mainly en-suite rooms plus several comfortable lounges that offer a variety of views and atmospheres.

There is a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and staff are highly trained and dedicated to providing the individual loving care residents require. A strong bond is developed with both the residents and their families so that a secure and homely environment is provided.

My mum moved into Woodley Grange two months ago and we have found everyone to be really friendly, professional and helpful. Having looked at a number of homes in the local area we really wanted Mam to be a resident which they arranged at really short notice. Someone is always willing to answer questions
and help Mam adjust to her new circumstances and surroundings. We definitely made the right choice.

Genuine and caring staff without exception, a very well-run care home where both the residents and staff are happy. My mum has been here for 18 months; we visit most days and so see the care at close quarters. Woodley Grange staff have been very flexible and continue to respond to changes in Mum's capability/understanding
and care needs (she has dementia). The activity programme runs every morning and afternoon, ranging from craft to music, entertainers and trips out. Residents are actively invited to take part. The home invites new ideas and acts on suggestions. We looked at about 40 care homes and visited 8, so can comment with some context - Woodley Grange is a happy, active place which suits my mum well and we would highly recommend it.

My mother's care at Woodley Grange is second to none. She is always so clean, occupied, well fed but most of all, happy. The staff without exception go over and above to ensure every need is seen to promptly and with a laugh and a smile. Being in Woodley Grange is always a pleasure.

The physical and mental care that my mum receives at Woodley Grange is frankly outstanding.

Love seeing all the photos and videos on social media so I can see my nan nearly every day and all the activities she is doing. Sometimes her flowers don't get watered enough but we make sure they do when we come.

I became a resident one year ago, all members of staff are very helpful and kind. Woodley Grange Care Home is in a delightful setting and 'landscaped gardens'. We have a fully equipped hair salon. Part of our activities include singers and musicians.

My mother-in-law has been a resident of Woodley Grange since August. The staff are all excellent, and the care given is exemplary. There is a wide range of activities available, and this means that she is kept busy and stimulated all the time. The home is just excellent, and we cannot thank everyone

My mother is a resident at Woodley Grange. She has a very rare form of dementia that presents differently to most other types, which has made getting Mum the support she needed very difficult since even healthcare workers aren't familiar with it. Now she is safely installed in Woodley Grange and I couldn't
be happier. She is in a wonderful, warm, caring environment, with people who really understand her as a person, her condition, and her needs. The staff, and particularly the manager, go far above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to taking care of Mum. Literally, nothing is too much trouble. The communication from the home is exceptional, they keep me updated with any areas of concern or new developments. It's humbling to realise how many real-life heroes are out there, just doing amazing things every day, making older people's lives more fulfilling, happier and safer. I genuinely cannot recommend Woodley Grange highly enough.

My grandfather resided there for eighteen months. Whenever I had visited, the staff were always very welcoming and the care my grandfather had received was always outstanding. I would highly recommend the home for their excellent services that they provide.

Friendly care staff with great sense of empathy, great location as it is quiet with luxurious equipment. Woodley Grange care home is a family run business which makes it more personal. As they are very particular about the care of the residents. The manager is a team player and friendly to all guests.

Woodley Grange is a fantastic home with a team of truly dedicated staff who really care about the people living there. There’s always lots going on and Dad always has a massive smile on his face telling us what he’s been getting up to. Management are approachable and welcoming of feedback and new ideas.

All staff and management, especially the care team managers, are so kind and welcoming. My mother moved into the home a few months ago now and it feels like her own home. She is very well looked after in a warm and friendly environment providing continuing excellent care since she has been a resident.
The activities are great and the home is clean and lovely.

Loraine

Loraine Tabbner

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2015

Loraine joined Woodley Grange in May 2015 as our Head of Care. She achieved her QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care in 2018 and has since pursued further qualifications, including obtaining her Level 5.


Additionally, Loraine has undergone training in the 6 steps of End of Life Care and Champion Other Carers.


Loraine always goes above and beyond to take great care of our residents and their families. Her passion and dedication led to her well-deserved promotion to Manager in December 2023.


Loraine has 2 children, 2 grandchildren and a beautiful dog called Ollie, and adores them all. She enjoys football, walking and eating out.

Rebecca

Rebecca Newton

Job Title: Head Of Care

Rebecca, known to us as Becky, is highly experienced with 16 years in the care industry. Since joining Woodley Grange in 2017 as a carer, she has progressed to Senior Care Team Manager and is now Head of Care.


Becky has completed her L5 Diploma in Health and Social Care. She has also taken on the role of End of Life champion for the home.


Becky loves animals and is kept very busy in her spare time with her 3 lovely children, her dog called Dave, a cat named Tilly, as well as 2 rabbits and 2 hamsters.

Anne

Anne Miller

Job Title: Accounts Joined: 2007

Anne joined Homes as our bookkeeper in 2007 making a change from working for engineering and construction companies.


Anne enjoys the Home and the company of the residents and often stays on into the evenings for a chat. She relishes learning snippets of unofficial first-hand history.


County walks have always been her pastime and she regularly takes one of the scenic routes commuting to and from Woodley Grange.

Terri lives locally in Romsey and was brought up in Totton. In her spare time, she enjoys going swimming and spending time with her friends and family.
