Overall Experience

My mother has received the very best of care and comfort from all of the Woodley Grange staff, especially with the additional strains caused by the pandemic. While not being in a position to allow visits, we have been afforded regular Zoom calls and frequent updates as to her comfort and state of health. Our family wish to offer Woodley Grange our immense thanks for all of the attention given and for the professional manner in which they have offered such excellent care and been so understanding of her specific needs. Score 10+.

Our father was a resident at Woodley Grange for just over two years. Throughout his stay, he was warmly and respectfully cared for and was extremely happy. Towards the end of his life, that care became more specific, and the team proved very capable in handling his condition and in turn, our expectations, feeling and emotions. I would wholeheartedly recommend the carers, the infrastructure and the location/rooms etc to anyone considering such a life change for their loved ones.

Overall Experience

My dear mum has been a resident at Woodley Grange for several years now. I cannot emphasize enough how excellent the home is. Throughout Mum's stay, the staff have been nothing more than brilliant, in fact, brilliant just does not do it justice. The staff and everything about Woodley Grange is wonderful. They have shown Mum care, support, love and affection - everything you could wish for when the day comes that you have to make the gruelling decision to have to put your dearest in a home. I would honestly recommend Woodley Grange to anyone - and I do. Mum had a fall several years ago and broke her hip. My brother and I were so worried as we were told by the hospital that if Mum couldn't get back on her feet she may have to move to another home. We prayed that she would walk again, and she did. We were so, so happy as it meant she could go back to Woodley Grange. I have never met such truly wonderful, caring staff in my life. Hats off to them all and my mum is so, so happy there.

The carers are dedicated, friendly and have always been very helpful. My mother always commended her food.

The activities are imaginative, varied and well managed. I liked that activities involve animals, choirs, schools, children and people from the community.

Received excellent service from all departments. All staff are very friendly and always willing to help and often offer good advice. The food is very good with always a choice and all food well cooked. Rooms are comfortable, with plenty of space and good wardrobes and very adequate drawer space. Laundry is very efficient. Thank you.

Overall Experience
My mother was a resident at Woodley Grange for two and a half years but sadly passed away recently. This review is in recognition of the professionalism, resilience, dedication, skill and commitment of all the well-trained staff and management team at Woodley Grange. Visiting my mother was like walking into a hotel. We were always greeted smiles and warmth. No matter how busy the staff seemed to be, my mother was always treated with dignity, patience, kindness and compassion, which was reassuring and a great comfort to us. The facilities and environment are excellent, with so many varied activities organised by the social team.

We have always admired the way in which this care home is managed, no more so than during this harrowing time of lockdowns and distress. We are sure their excellent record of vigilance and care for their residents through this crisis will speak volumes. The staff at Woodley Grange will always remain our friends and have our immense gratitude.

The staff in the home all have a positive and friendly spirit and making it feel like home. The leaders and manager keep up to date and help me with discussions on care plans etc. The home is very clean and well decorated with great domestic, laundry and maintenance staff who feel part of the family. Overall I have been delighted for over 2 years.

Holistically, it would be difficult to find fault with any element of Woodley Grange. They make a difficult and emotionally upsetting time easier to deal with. Being attentive to personal needs and safety were/are reassuring and allowed for confidence to be regained. NB. This stay was for a short 'respite' period, funded by LA and we have difficulty assessing the "value for money" aspect.

My mother spent 6 very happy years here. She settled in very quickly helped by the caring approach of the staff and the excellent food. She was always treated as an individual and any of her preferences were respected. She would often say to me how lucky she was. As a family, we were always welcomed when we visited and found the staff and management very friendly and approachable. My mother had her 90th birthday in the home with family and friends present. A room and food were provided. Nothing was too much trouble.

When we needed help/advice when very disturbed, confused and upset about Mum's care needing to be put into expert hands, Woodley Grange were there to advise and help in every way. They helped mum to adjust, and me as a very concerned daughter. She has adjusted very well and integrated wonderfully, her needs change as time goes on and are always accommodated. All the facilities/amenities are wonderful in all ways.

The care has been of the highest quality through the stay of my relative. The staff are always very polite to the residents and treat them with dignity and respect. The whole place is spotlessly clean and bright. The good decorative order is always well maintained. We are very fortunate to have found Woodley Grange.

Overall Experience

I have been impressed with the professionalism, kindness, courtesy and pure humanity shown by all the staff. I don't only mean the carers who really have that as part of their job description, but also the support staff - cleaners, kitchen staff, activities staff, maintenance. As I only live a few minutes away, I have been able to visit my mother very frequently and at different times of the day and week. So when I see the home it is "as it is". There is no possibility of a show or stage management and I rarely saw anything that disturbed me. What I liked was if I did raise a point, either via email/phone to the manager or verbally to a member of staff, then there tended to be a response and solution within a short while - often the same day.
