Overall Experience

Woodlands is like home from home. Visitors are welcome without appointments and I have always been kept up to date with the care of my mother and mother-in-law either face to face or other means. Both of my relatives are very happy and are treated with dignity and respect and I can rest easy knowing they are in a safe and cared for environment. The staff know all the residents well and meet their individual needs. Woodlands is a small care home that offers the highest standard of care.

Overall Experience

As a regular visitor to my mum over the last 5 years, I think that I can speak from a truly balanced and experienced viewpoint. We moved mum from her hometown in Nottinghamshire, several years ago now, away from her friends and down to Hampshire to Woodlands which is nearer to where I live. At 87 years old, 'a couple of years at best' was muted by some friends and members of family, however, 5 years on and at 92 years she is still as content and happy as she was when she arrived. You just can't wish for a better home for mum; the staff are brilliant, dedicated, attentive and caring. If this is not enough, I regularly receive a constant update on mum's well-being and state of health, in addition to endless support to me and my family when mum's health has not been so good. So, in summary, I challenge anyone to find a better home for someone you love. A very bold statement, but just look if a Care Home you are looking at has been rated as 'Outstanding' by the CQC - Woodlands has been.

Vicki MorlJob Title:Home Manager

My name is Vicki, and I love my role as Home Manager at Woodlands. I have worked in the care industry since I was fifteen years old. I have worked in a variety of care settings such as residential, nursing, learning disabilities and mental health, as well as domiciliary care. My passion is in elderly care; everyone is unique and has an interesting story to tell. Throughout my time, I have gained a number of qualifications, such as NVQs at Levels 2, 3, and 4, and a Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care and Management. I am proud to work for a company that puts the residents at the forefront of everything they do.

My role is incredibly rewarding. I am part of a massive life changing decision that is incredibly personal and needs to be made with confidence. I think of myself as a guide for families and individuals during this new chapter of their life.

I help support with any questions and concerns but what I love most is every day I get to meet new people, hear their life stories and build great relationships with them and their families. Once they have moved in it is a joy to watch our residents thrive and enjoy life, loved ones too.

Scott
Scott Job Title:Training ManagerJoined: 2025

I have worked in the health and social care sector for the last 13 years. Every role has been in and around training and development. Being able to develop our staff to deliver even greater care and service to our residents is something I take great pride in. Woodlands & Hill Brow is a family-run business, and this is one of the main reasons I wanted to move here, away from more corporate roles.

Trixie Job Title:Head Chef

I'm Trixie, and I work as a Chef at Woodlands. I absolutely love being part of such a caring company that values and supports its employees. The management team is incredibly supportive and always prioritizes the well-being of the residents and staff.

One of the best parts of my job is preparing meals for the residents at Woodlands. I make sure to have individual conversations with each resident to learn about their favourite foods and preferred drinks. It's important to me that they are happy, so I strive to provide them with wholesome, delicious, and nutritious meals that they truly enjoy.
