I have found this care home very kind, friendly and caring. The staff are excellent and I feel welcomed every time I visit. All the staff have gone out of their way to try and help my Dad settle in and everybody is very patient.

There is an excellent feel to Woodlands as soon as you walk through the door. Every single member of staff clearly cares about the residents. There is an abundance of activities provided and all residents are continually encouraged to join in.

I have recommended Woodlands to many people with total confidence that they will not be disappointed.

Woodlands is warm and welcoming. No "bling", just a homely environment with well trained staff who care for and support not only the resident but also the wider family who they come into contact with. The twice daily activities are well thought out and constructed to enhance the day for residents. My father really enjoys them especially the concerts, poetry group and the cookery club. The whole team are well managed and are like one big family. No agency staff are used so residents are being cared for daily by familiar faces. Residents are treated with dignity and respect and kindness. There are some residents with dementia and the staff are always so patient. Although we wisely looked at other care homes we always came back to this one. It has a lovely atmosphere. My father has been here for 6 months and is very happy & settled. I visit him a few times a week & can honestly say that I have no concerns whatsoever. He is in very safe hands.

When I visited my granny whilst she was having respite care with Woodlands, the staff were always very helpful, cheerful and always willing to spend a few extra minutes when needed. Granny was always looked after with care and they couldn't have done any more to make her stay any better.
A lovely room looking out on the beautiful gardens with the nature to watch.

Lots of activities to take part in and also had the joy of the hairdresser. Granny was content and happy and our family wouldn't hesitate to ask for more respite with a view of permanent residence in the future.

My mum moved into Woodlands. I found the staff very accommodating, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Her room is outstanding and she looks out to a beautiful garden. The home is lovely and clean and well presented. The food is well-presented. The food is all freshly made and lots of variety. The activities that are available are brilliant and the trips out weekly.

My mother has been a resident at Woodlands for 4 years and is very happy there. She was a diabetic, living alone and no longer able to manage her illness. Woodlands have been marvellous in managing her diabetes and other age related medical conditions. We too, feel part of the Woodlands family and are always given a warm welcome when we visit. Mum particularly enjoys various trips out in the minibus to garden centres, shops or the seaside.

Mum has been at Woodlands for 3 months and has settled in very well.
The staff are very kind and made the transition from our care to theirs with compassion and understanding.
The home and Mum's room is always very clean and tidy. Mum has always enjoyed her food and is fed very well.

Mum entered Woodlands after her dementia required her to be looked after. She had a beautiful room, always kept very clean and well organised.
Her behaviour, as the dementia, progressed became more challenging - but the staff were patient and always treated her with respect and she always told me she was happy there and didn't want to move.

The management staff kept me updated on mum's health and condition and were so approachable and caring. Mum passed away in July and they were very supportive.

I looked at several care homes locally and chose Woodlands because it seemed a very homely, friendly care home.
My mum has not looked as well as she does in a long time.
The home is lovely and clean generally and her room is clean and tidy.
My mum always looks clean and tidy and she is obviously well fed and enjoys the food.
The staff are attentive and kind and obviously work as a team.
We can visit at any time and any questions or queries are always addressed promptly.
Nothing is too much trouble and the staff always look happy.

I would recommend Woodlands to anyone needing a home for their relative.

Happy residents, excellent full-time staff (no agency workers). Always feel welcome when visiting.

Rooms and furnishings very much suit the current elder generation, and the gardens must be seen to be believed.

A perfect all round home, hope it'll be mine one day!!

My mother-in-law has lived at Woodlands for over 5 years. During that time she has been treated with dignity and compassion The care is wonderful and all the staff are lovely. Everyone at Woodlands knows my mother-in-law as the home only employs permanent staff and never uses agency staff. A better more caring and considerate care home would be hard to find. The staff are all so very polite, helpful, they are all so dedicated to giving their absolute best in the most knowledgeable way possible. My Mother has always been treated with the utmost dignity and respect. I have received regular updates on my Mother's care needs, health issues, not to mention fantastic support to myself and family when Mother has been feeling under the weather. Each day and every day there is at least one activity for residents to join in with, in the morning and again in the afternoon, if the resident wishes. The activities vary greatly from cookery, art & craft, playing cards, playing skittles, the list is endless. There are also trips out to garden centres, the local town centre and sometimes a local public house. All dietary needs, likes and dislikes are catered for, which is all lovingly cooked in the kitchen. The recent CQC rating of 'OUTSTANDING' should read ' Better than Outstanding'.

Right from the first contact two and a half years ago through to today, the Woodlands team has always provided a high level of professionalism combined with genuine concern and affection for the residents. The home itself feels like a comfortable private home. We, the family, feel very fortunate that our relative is in such a pleasant place with such excellent care.

The home provides a very friendly and caring service. The staff are all efficient and I would describe the overall atmosphere of the home as being down to earth and as near as being vert much like the family home. The rooms are well-maintained. There is not a constant turnover of staff makes the residents content. The managers are very much hands on and they are friendly but firm, with their staff.
