Ann has been a resident at Fosse House for quite some time, and during that time, the care has been exceptional, and all the staff have treated Ann with kindness and consideration, and all her needs were dealt with the utmost professionalism. Emy has been a great help and has been keeping up to date during Ann's stay. Thank you to all the staff for taking the best care of Ann right up to the end.

Since I have arrived in Fosse House, Blackbird section, I have experienced nothing but kindness and consideration from the management down to the carers. I feel really at home. Kindness is everything, and whether you want Rochdale or a trip to the supermarket, everything is managed with care. Everything is beautifully clean, and I really enjoy the variety of facilities provided by our excellent schedulers; they go to infinite lengths to provide different levels of interest and ideas. Wonderful! Many thanks to all...

Fosse House is a very welcoming family home for the residents who live here, and they make visiting family members very welcome. My mother is very well cared for by the friendly, happy care staff. The cafe is a great social meeting hub for families and residents. Activities within the home are varied and give residents opportunities to join in with other residents and have a fun time together.

My husband has been a resident at Fosse House for approximately 9 months and has settled very well. Most of the carers are extremely friendly and caring and the activities team are excellent and arrange a great variety of activities for the residents.
The new management team are working hard to make the home the best it can be and are doing a very good job.
The Cafe is the hub for visitors to take residents for a coffee and a chat and also to meet other family members. Everyone is made to feel welcome by the ladies who run the cafe and they are a great asset to the home.

Overall I am very happy with Fosse House and the care my husband is receiving.

Fosse House provides a wonderfully caring and happy environment for my mother. The unit staff are attentive, thoughtful, and dedicated, ensuring her wellbeing from morning until bedtime.
There's a real sense of community, shown through the many activities, from the popular weekly 'pub night' to birthday celebrations and the recent family Christmas lunch. The activity team do an outstanding job.
A highlight is the cafe, the heart of daily life at Fosse. Run by kind and familiar staff, it's more than a place for tea; it's a welcoming space that gives residents a sense of normality and comfort they may have enjoyed before moving into the home. Families can sit together, share a drink, and enjoy everday conversation. My mother visits often and, in her words, "it's marvellous."

The new manager, appointed at the end of 2025, has also brought a positive 'can-do' approach and a strong focus on the wellbeing of both residents and staff, who are clearly happier and more motivated. I'm so grateful my mother is in such a joyful and supportive home.

Mum moved in 1st October following visits to other care homes. She was happy with the decision. There was an initial problem with a resident who was wandering into rooms. We spole to the senior care manager - difficult conversation but he was moved the next day. Mum is now begining to settle in. Interior, environment and garden are very good for her, room is managed effectively and staff are kind and responsive. The cafe and activity programme are poactive and put on a good range of activities and Mum is enjoying this now. She is now forming friendships with other residents and relatives. A well managed home - feels homely and responsive - great gardens, lovely interior and an activity team who care.

I have always found Fosse House clean and tidy, with the staff friendly and helpful. Wherever we go into the home, the staff all know my mother and stop to have a few words with her. Our mum has been a resident at Fosse House since December 2024. At what was a very difficult time for her and the family, was made so much easier, by the kindness and compassion of all the staff and management there. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone had time for mum and us, no matter how busy they were.

We especially love hearing the laughter and seeing the happy faces of the residents and carers who always seemed to be around. At what can be a very trying time for families, it was such a relief to find a place that treated the residents and families with respect and in such a caring way. We found the facilities and food to be first-class and varied, mum enjoys it all. We would happily recommend Fosse House to any family who find themselves on this difficult journey. Our fondest love and thanks to all at Fosse House.

The receptionists are always bubbly, happy and welcoming, majority of the staff are excellent. The buildings and grounds are well-maintained, there are accessible gardens for warm days which are pleasant and inviting. It differs from day to day from the smell which can be off-putting. I noticed from the pictures, which are on social media, my brother does not seem to be included in activities. Surprisingly and shocking is the letdown of these prepared meals, they are inedible or not cooked thoroughly, disappointing.

The treatment of residents is of the highest order. My needs are fully met, especially the care and effort by management to cater for my social and dietary requirements (I am Asian). The management have ensured that I get Asian meals, Asian church visits and even Asian musical sessions. Generally, I feel very secure and at home at this care home. Evening activities are ok, but somewhat limited, although board games are supplied.

My wife had stayed several times in Fosse House, both for convalescence and to allow me respite from home care. Experience of the care and activities provided for my wife during these short periods of residence left me and our two sons in doubt that my wife should become a resident in September 2019. She has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and was therefore admitted as requiring dementia care. She consistently received appropriate care and stimulation up to her death on 21/12/22.

Fosse House is a very welcoming care home. The staff are very friendly. Residents are well taken care of. All their dietary needs are met. They get regular drinks and medication, and if they need any health support, a doctor will be contacted. They communicate well with relatives and are always obliging. Throughout the last few very difficult months as my mother gradually faded away all the care team staff and managers have been thoughtful and sensitive in dealing with her last moments. Also looking after my father (also a resident at Fosse). Ensuring he was given all he needed support wise to deal with very sad circumstances and then trying to lift him up again whenever or got too much.
Which meant I was able not to worry about him on top of my own sadness

a great relief.

Fosse House is such a lively place, where residents can feel at home! It's bright and spacious with an in-house cafe. Quite honestly I don't know what I would do without it! Mum loves the coffee there and the music and decorations make them all feel happy and relaxed. We often have a sing-along all together. The activities are brilliant. The staff work so hard at keeping them occupied. My mum loves playing oomph! plus exciting things are being planned. Mum is very settled there, for her it's home. We are very happy to know she is in this caring environment.
