The staff at Greenhill did everything they could to look after my mother and to help and reassure my sister and I at what was a very distressing time.

Anytime we asked to see someone, about anything, they would always have time to chat to us and any problems were resolved.

I think the team there are very good indeed and my mother is now back home - much stronger after her stay at Greenhill.

We had to move my mother into a care home following a series of falls.
She is 96 years old and has settled in well.
The staff at Greenhill are amazing - so caring and thoughtful.
The home is extremely well managed by the manager who is so warm and welcoming.
The rooms are a good size and are all ensuite.
Everywhere is spotlessly clean.

We know our mother is kept safe and looked after so well that we now have peace of mind.

My friend was treated kindly, with respect and was very much loved.
I always felt the staff really loved their jobs, always smiled.

The home was always clean, fresh and all the residents were always clean and well dressed.
The food was varied.

The activities always going on.

My mother was a resident at Greenhill for just under 2 years. During her stay she was treated with respect, kindness and consideration.

In the weeks leading up to her death, her care was of a very high standard.

Greenhill was the answer to a prayer. The manager strives for excellence in all areas yet still maintains a caring atmosphere. Every member of staff we met was wonderful and considerate. The home is situated in a beautiful environment. We were confident that mum was receiving the best care we could have hoped for. Her last days were made particularly special as the staff went the extra mile to ensure she was comfortable and treated with great respect and dignity.

Honestly, we cannot fault any aspect of this wonderful home from home.

My uncle resided for over two years at Greenhill. He appeared very happy. We found the staff from the management, carers, nurses, house staff are all friendly, efficient and willing to answer any questions. Also to inform us of his health and any changes. Greenhill is set in nice gardens, new extra parking makes visiting easier. The cleanliness and make over of rooms makes them very pleasant.

My mother lived at Greenhill for around 9 months and both she and us were very happy indeed with the home. The accommodation, food and activities were all fine and my mum loved the beautiful gardens but most of all, I would praise the exceptional staff who made her so welcome.

I cannot praise the staff at Greenhill enough, they are kind, patient and caring. Any teething problems at the start of mum's stay were sorted out quickly and professionally. As a family, we are made to feel very welcome, with cups of tea and reassuring words.

All the staff take the time to get to know the residents and their interactions are always positive and loving. The manager seems to have a great rapport with both her staff and the people they look after. The house and grounds are superb and there is no doubt that money is invested in the property to keep it looking lovely. I cannot thank the staff or praise them highly enough.

My mother was diagnosed with dementia and has been a resident at Greenhill for just over 2 years. I cannot praise the staff enough, for their outstanding care, support and understanding of mum's many individual needs, which at times can be challenging. They will always go 'the extra mile'. Mum is so happy and contented and my brother and I genuinely feel part of the Greenhill extended family!
We are consulted on all aspects of mum's care and we are always given the opportunity to talk to the staff and management about any concerns. 'The Cedars' which is the part of the home where mum spends her time, is a very special place.
Residents have their own special lounge, sensory room and wonderful conservatory looking out over the beautiful grounds and a small courtyard with lovely potted flowers.

Mum enjoys the special activities including summer bbq's, Christmas celebrations and firework evenings. Residents and relatives meetings are held regularly which keeps us in touch with all events.

On the three occasions. I have visited my relative and I have been impressed by the wonderful care given to my cousin and all the other residents.

I am aware my relatives particular problems were not easy for the staff but their considerate loving care has meant she has settled in very well. All the staff I have met treat all the residents with respect and care which makes my visits a joy.

From the very first day my mother arrived at the care home, she was made to feel at home. She always told me how happy she was and how she loved all of her carers. Not at any time did she feel unhappy and to reach the age of 99 is evidence itself. I know the staff and carers are paid to do their work, but the carers gave much more and above what their job required, that only true carers can do. I highly recommend this home.

I have been visiting my neighbour at this care home and was so happy to know that she is being treated with dignity and compassion.
The staff are wonderful, very kind and there is a very calm atmosphere. The fact that there is an open door policy to visitors says a lot.
The property is lovely and very well maintained. The garden is well laid out and a wonderful space to encourage the residents to get out in the fresh air.

When my time comes I will book my place there!

My mother developed dementia in 2011 and we were faced with the difficult choice of having to select a care home for her. It was quite a daunting and emotional time for all the family. We couldn't have been happier when we found Greenhill. The home itself and its location in leafy Hertfordshire was breath taking. The care and attention management and staff gave to my mother and the friendliness they showed us whenever we visited, was second to none.

Sadly my mother passed away on 6th June 2016. Up until her passing, the staff and carers at Greenhill could not have done more. I would not hesitate to recommend Greenhill to others - in fact, I have already done so.. Although my mother is no longer with us I know that I will keep in touch with everyone at Greenhill as they made me feel part of their very special family.

In my experience, on visiting a friend for almost four years, the most outstanding thing has been the staff. They are patient, caring and treat everyone with dignity. I as a visitor, always get a warm welcome and they present the home as a good place with a happy atmosphere.

My aunt has been at the home for two years and she has been very well cared for. The staff know her well and are thoughtful and concerned for her best welfare. She has been well looked after following a number of hospital admissions. Staff have helped in particular, to keep her mobile once she has returned to the home. Staff have always had her best interests at heart. A warm and friendly place to be.

During mum's stay at Greenhill we found the staff to be excellent. They were friendly, kind and compassionate. We were always made to feel welcome when ever we visited (tea and biscuits always on offer!). I know that mum was very happy there and my sister and I could relax secure in the knowledge that she was being extremely well cared for.

The building itself is well maintained and the rooms are bright and cheerful with mum being able to put her own paintings and photos up, it felt very much her own space.

The level of information supplied to us was always relevant and up to date and all our requests were always carried out without question. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care that they gave mum and the support we as a family received during her final weeks.

My 94 year old mother was in Greenhill while I was on holiday early this year. I am her main carer. Her room (newly refurbished) and staff were excellent as was Greenhill. The activities room on the lower floor could do with refurbishment and the lift being replaced. My mum still has a good appetite but found the food warm at best and I only cook fresh vegetables for her, she does not like frozen, grounds were very well kept and would be nice in summer.

The Manager and the team are kind and caring people.

The Manager is a very kind and understanding person. Nothing is too much trouble and she took time to listen to any concerns or worries that we had before we chose Greenhill after considering many homes. Staff at Greenhill did all they could to reassure us for what was a big leap of faith for us regarding our Mother's future care.

Patience and kindness is a high priority here as is treating residents with respect.

Love the grounds, house and views but know that these things take second place to good quality carers. Greenhill fortunately offers excellent standards with all these things.
