Review from Rosalind M (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 July 2018 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

The Mead is by far the best care home I have ever been inside. Although a number of residents are challenging everyone is treated with kindness and even love. The home is always clean and fresh, staff are always available to answer concerns and every resident is treated individually according to their needs. Rooms are of a good size and can be personalised. I have already recommended The Mead on a number of occasions and would do so again. The only thing I would add is they could do with some new armchairs.

My approach in life is “Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself”, which is very much applicable in care, as residents deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, kindness and compassion. I started my journey in care at The Mead in 2015 as a carer and progressed to Deputy Manager. I feel honoured for the opportunity to continue providing support to residents, their families and our lovely team.

The Chef Manager organises every aspect of the catering operation and provides a safe, nutritious, quality service to our residents using freshly produced food. With a hands-on role, leading a team, they provide a quality catering service and help create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents. Working with our residents they help to create menus to meet their needs and suit their tastes.
