I was really upset at having to put my mother into a care home for respite, and after looking at quite a few, we decided on Newgrange because of the amazing facilities and the kindness of all the staff (especially the manager). Despite the current COVID-19 situation, the atmosphere was still brilliant. My mum has now been at Newgrange for nearly a month and she absolutely loves it - she looks so well cared for and years younger. Both me and my sister have been delighted with our mum's care, and she’s now staying at Newgrange after her respite is over permanently. I can’t thank the staff enough, for both the wonderful support they’ve given my family and for the care of my mum.

My mum stayed at Newgrange for two weeks of respite care after an operation in February. Both she and I were delighted with the care she received. The home is modern, clean, spacious and bright. All of the staff were so friendly, caring and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Their attention to the individual needs and safety of each resident was clear to see and very reassuring. The food was excellent, I know first hand because I also joined the residents for lunch one day. On the admin side, I found all the managers, owner and staff very efficient and easy to liaise with, even when we had some last-minute changes to plans. Mum was very reluctant to go into care but she soon changed her mind after being there a couple of days. She made lots of friends and has asked to go back there if there is ever a need in the future. Would highly recommend Newgrange. Many thanks.

In February 2019 after a two-year struggle with Dementia, our Mother became progressively worse and needed more care.
We looked at four care homes before we chose Newgrange, it really stood out as the place we wanted for our Mother. Our first impressions were of a clean, fresh, modern and purpose-built care home, with welcoming and kind staff. We are so grateful for the excellent care that Mum received during her time there. Mum was treated with respect, consideration and above all kindness by everyone there who made her feel welcome and safe and part of a family.
Unfortunately, they never saw Mum at her best, but they worked to bring out the best in her. Our Mother lived at Newgrange until her death in November 2019, the end of life care she received was expert, considerate and dignified.

Our family would have no hesitation in recommending Newgrange Care Home and we are truly appreciative of the care and kindness our Mother was shown. Thank you.

Newgrange Care Home has surpassed all my expectations. All the staff are helpful and friendly and treat the residents with compassion, understanding and respect and go out of their way to make visitors feel welcome. The facilities and site are of the highest standard and are kept immaculately clean and tidy and the activities available keep residents stimulated along with regular entertainment for everyone to attend eg. BBQs/singers and musicians. After visiting Mum, I leave Newgrange feeling confident that she is receiving the very best care and would recommend them to anyone.

Newgrange is an immaculate site with staff who obviously love their jobs and are dedicated to their residents. Staff, residents and visitors alike are always smiling and laughing which is what really makes this place a home.
They have an outstanding activities team who are passionate about encouraging stimulation in their residents. They are also looking into expanding their activities range and improving their garden facilities, which I know many of the residents are excited about!

100% recommended!

My mum went into Newgrange in January 2019. From the first day, she was well looked after, cared for and loved. All staff are friendly and approachable, kind and giving, nothing is too much trouble for them. This approach is extended to us as a family. Newgrange is an excellent residential care home and I would recommend it to anybody.

My family and I are extremely grateful to Newgrange and it's management and staff for the recent respite care of my elderly and poorly Mother. Newgrange was able to offer a quality service at short notice and did so with sensitivity and care and could not have been more accommodating to my Mother's needs. The facilities and staff were excellent and we would not hesitate to use Newgrange again.

My mother-in-law was one of the first residents since the Newgrange refurbishment. She was resident from Nov 2018. We always found the staff very helpful and friendly. The house itself was new and extremely well looked after. All clean and tidy. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law died after a short illness but the staff, together with the local district nurses, and the community palliative care nurses made her last days very comfortable. We cannot praise them enough. Many thanks to you all.

I would highly recommend the Newgrange Care Home. I found it so warm and welcoming when I first came to look at it when trying to find the right care home for my aunt. From the moment I met the care home management team and the care team, I knew this would be the new home for my aunt. I had looked at many other care homes but none of them gave me this warm and friendly feeling straight away. From the moment my aunt was accepted here the staff were so kind, warm and friendly to not only my aunt but to all the residents alike. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

Sadly my aunt passed away this week and the staff were so kind and compassionate to me and treated my aunt with such respect and dignity I could not have asked for more. The care team at Newgrange are exceptional. If you are worried as I was, at finding the right place for your loved one, then look no further than the Newgrange Care Home. Not only your loved one, but you will become part of a lovely warm friendly family.

When I could no longer help my Mum, she was cared for at Newgrange. The home itself is modern, extremely clean and well looked after. Residents are encouraged to take part in activities and there are always staff on hand to help. All the staff were very professional and showed such kindness, respect and dignity towards my Mum, both during her time there and when she passed away. I would recommend Newgrange to anyone who is searching for care for a loved one. I will never forget them or be able to thank them enough.
