The care provided to my nan has been outstanding. She is always happy and talkative. The staff are also very kind towards our family members and have been very compassionate whilst we go through a bereavement. Nan loves being here and also doing the activities and the outings. She's a lot happier and settled.

This was my uncle's second visit; when we spoke after each visit he has said that he was well cared for and had a generally good time. He enjoyed the food and all his needs were met.

My grandparents have lived happily at Wisden Court for many years/months now. I cannot thank the staff (especially the managers) enough for the care and support they have given myself and my family. We are always met with warmth and my relatives are always clean, happy and healthy. I feel safe knowing they are looked after by such kind and considerate staff.

All staff are welcoming to residents and family/friends. The communal areas and private rooms are always clean. The choice of meals are excellent and staff always try to adjust these options if they do not suit. Care is taken on the residents suitable dresswear and help is always on hand to help residents chose the right type of clothing for outdoor activities.

My mother has been staying at Wisdom Court for 2 weeks' respite. The carers and management are marvellous - very kind and patient with my mum who has Vascular Dementia. When my mum gets too ill for me to care for her, I will be putting her into Wisdom Court full-time.

My mother has recently been taken in. The help and care that we and her have been given has been wonderful.
The staff are happy and caring, a credit to their profession.

I would like to thank the home's manager for everything she does. She has made both my mother and father's life better.

This is not my mums first visit in fact she has been cared for here at least three visits but they total about 12 weeks. So I do feel qualified to say that mum has been cared for very well her emotional and care needs were met and exceeded. The home has had a makeover and this has improved the surroundings but the same quality of happy caring staff do a fabulous job and I've noticed an increase of activities for service users and my mum who has dementia came out very happy and animated it really improved her mental mood. Well done to the managers and the team! Thank you!

Generally no complaints. However would appreciate more continuity of care, my mother just gets used to the main carer after 3 days on duty then that carer is off for 3 days and a new carer has to take over, this is confusing for mum who has dementia. Mum has expressed the wish to have one to one conversations with carers, this doesn't happen very often and in fact never when a "stand in" carer takes over. While senior member of caring staff are away, the younger stand-ins have been plaiting each others hair! Residents don't seem to be asked what they want to watch on TV find it's what the carer wants to watch in some cases.

My Mother-in-Law who suffers from vascular dementia and has limited mobility, is currently staying at Wisden Court as a temporary resident. Her stay has needed to be extended twice, a process that is usually painful due to the multiple phone calls that need to be made. The senior manager at Wisden Court has given us so much assistance and made the process simple and uncomplicated, she is amazing and so dedicated to her residents. She is obviously excellent at her job as Wisden Court is well organised and wonderfully welcoming.
The care given by all staff is no less that the equivalent of the love given by our family. My Mother-in-Law is flourishing, her communication skills have improved because the surroundings of Wisden Court stimulate her. Most importantly, even with her limited ability to communicate today, my Mother-in-Law said: "This is a lovely place".

She is happy at Wisden Court, and that is all that matters, I only hope we can get her a permanent residency here.

Mum was resident at Wisden Court for six months. The staff are all outstanding. The care mum received especially during the last few weeks of her life, was professional, dignified and loving. We were so pleased she was able to pass away peacefully in a place we always considered her home among st people who really cared for her. The carers who looked after mum loved and respected her and mum loved them. As relatives we were always made very welcome and also felt like part of the "family". We were well looked after and supported. Really can't find fault with this lovely, friendly, homely place.

My father who has just died, aged 93, has been in care home for 5 years. I have only good memories of my fathers stay there. What lovely friendly carers. His last five years are a trip to Southend, parties, singsongs. Lovely Christmas and birthday cakes. The food at this home was **** stars and my dad liked his food!! His room was always clean and tidy and my dad was always clean and tidy too, my sisters and i were always welcomed at this home. I have only praise for these hard working and dedicated carers.

Mum has been a resident for five months, initially in respite care, and then in permanent care. The help we received from the manager in getting her into permanent care was first-class. Mum's daily care needs are well met and she is settled and happy. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, and treat the resident's with dignity. Mum enjoys the food, which looks delicious. (the cakes are wonderful!) Staff are easy to approach with any concerns, and feedback on issues is generally good.
