My mother was looked after in a very caring and professional environment. The care home was very clean and welcoming, the staff were very engaging and friendly. I would certainly recommend this home.

When it proves necessary, for the safety and security of a loved one, to move into residential care, the physical and emotional challenges can be immense for all concerned. After a lifetime of independence, following my Mother's passing, a hip fracture and worsening memory function due to Alzheimer's, my Father moved into Wisden Court six months ago. Dad was welcomed and immediately made to feel safe and comfortable in his new environment. The staff took time to get to know him and learn about his family, history and hobbies and he felt pleased and valued by their interest in, and acknowledgement of his life skills and achievements. Without exception, the management and care teams are cheerful and caring to both residents and their families, and unfailingly diligent and respectful in preserving the safety, security and dignity of those vulnerable older people in their care. Rooms and communal areas are airy, comfortable and welcoming and the facilities and entertainments comprehensive. Regular communication is maintained with families, individually where appropriate and, more widely, via newsletter and updates. I am now confident that Dad is safe, secure and above all happy in a well-ordered and peaceful enviironment, with its atmosphere of quiet efficienty.

I can only say that I have always felt that my mother has always been looked after very well.
Today, 15th March, the staff at Wisden Court put on an excellent show for the residents.

Very well done to all of them for trying to keep the residents entertained.

My brother was a resident of Wisden Court until his death. While he was there the home was completely refurbished, light, airy, more spacious, absolutely brilliant. He was so happy living there, the running and care given to both residents and their families is extremely good. The contact they keep with relatives is also very good.

I would truthfully recommend Wisden Court as a care home to family and friends.

For the short 2 week visit my mum seemed to be very relaxed, settled easily and pretty happy. Activities were good which kept mum involved and active mentally. Would be nice to use own furniture to make a more "at home feel" and some rooms look cosier than others due to colour schemes. All in all very happy.

I have been visiting my friend for 3 years now and have found the staff there to be extremely helpful to visitors and residents. The staff would always greet me (and others visiting) with a smile and such warmth. They are interested in the wellbeing of the residents and show this in the way they treat them. My friend has always expressed how much she liked the staff and how happy she was at Wisden. I would most definitely recommend.

I was so very pleased with the care given to my husband at Widen Court. He went there for one week respite. The staff were friendly and caring, helping to settle him in. He was happy there. The atmosphere was good and he mixed well with other residents. My son visited him and said he was impressed with the home. When I collected my husband he was relaxed and had been so well looked after. I will use this again.

This is an outstanding care home. My Gran was here and very happy for a few years. Unfortunately she had to be moved for nursing care this month and I know we will miss the caring staff here.
I visited weekly and was always welcomed. I felt very comfortable visiting. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff worked tirelessly for my Gran and others.

Your relative would be very happy in this home.

Thank you.

My Nan was unable to care for herself anymore sadly and the thought of a “home” scared my Nan and I felt very guilty. I went ahead of Nan to view Wisden Court. I arrived unexpected and two staff members showed me around no trouble. They were very welcoming and reassuring answering all my questions. All the residents looked happy and content and the place was like a hotel.
Nan was moved to Wisden Court as a respite resident to be assessed. Quickly the care staff and management acknowledge Nan’s needs.

I’m so pleased to say my Nan is now a permanent resident at Wisden Court and I couldn’t be happier. She is safe, happy and has 24/7 support and care. The food is wonderful, accommodation beautiful and clean, all staff are attentive and caring and the management have guided us every step of the way. It has been a lot easier to move Nan with the assistance of Wisden Court and I will forever be grateful to the team.
