On the day she died the staff did everything they could to support us and enabled her to die with dignity.
Five stars doesn't even come close to expressing our gratitude.

The staff are such lovely, kind, caring people. They treat the residents with respect and dignity. All members of staff are always friendly and happy to speak about anything, anytime. The care home is a lovely environment. It's always clean and tidy and the food is wonderful. They organise fantastic events for residents and family members to enjoy together.

My husband was very well cared for during his stay at Pinewood Lodge. All the care workers were friendly and made sure he was comfortable. They were attentive and kind to him and myself. We are grateful for the help and reassurance all the team gave us. I would recommend this care home.

This was the first time I visited my sister at the home. I was greeted very professionally, shown how to sign in and then taken to see my sister. Overall a pleasant experience and much appreciated.
Thank you for your kind review. We're pleased that you had a good experience visiting your sister in the home for the first time.
The staff at Pinewood Lodge are fantastic, they are kind, compassionate and very approachable on all levels. My dad's behaviour can be difficult at times, but the staff are very patient, caring and supportive with him. The activities are very good and the staff get the residents to join in, dad especially likes the music therapy. The food is also very good and plentiful! A big thank you to all of the staff, we are grateful as a family to have such nice people
Thank you for your lovely review. We're so pleased to hear that your dad is being well supported by our team and that their care is making a positive difference. It's wonderful to know he enjoys the activities, especially the music therapy, and that you are happy with the meals provided. Your kind...
I did a review last year and featured the many positive things that made the experience of my husband being in Pinewood so good. They go from strength to strength!! It goes without saying that staff from Manager down are brilliant, so caring and supportive and my husband's behaviour is very difficult at times. Residents have had many activities and musical entertainments to enjoy, themed events, Valentines, St Patrick's, Easter etc. The cherry on the cake was the Summer Garden Party!! Then came our second Christmas WOW!! Such a team effort from all to ensure residents and families had precious time, parties, Carols and Christmas Day again fantastic, personal gifts for all. Staff all dressed up, activities staff as Santa's elves and Manager wearing a lit Christmas Tree !!! It gave me and my husband a little slice of "Normal" at a difficult, sad and emotional time for me. Thank you all so much. You are all exceptional people. I don't know what we would do without you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review and for your continued support. It truly means a great deal to our whole team to hear how happy you and your husband are with the care that we provide. We are so pleased that occasions like the Summer Garden Party and Christmas...
My dad was released from hospital in August. Due to medically not fit to return home, Pinewood looked after him with great care. Processed my dad to get mobile, be clean and not bedbound. Your seniors, admin and head of home are 5-star and I cannot complain about any staff.
Thank you for your kind review. We're glad that your dad improved during his stay with us and that you were happy with the care he received at the home. We're grateful to you for taking the time to write and submit this review. It will mean a lot to the staff at Pinewood Lodge.
Dad arrived for nursing care, but after a fall during a hospital stay returned for end-of-life care. All staff showed exceptional care and compassion to Dad, and us too, and dealt very sensitively with difficult relatives. Communication was excellent - I live 100 miles away - and GDPR was strictly followed (much appreciated). Staff engaged with other residents at all times - there was a great deal of laughter! Surroundings are 'tired' but very welcoming and gardens are well used by staff and residents. A lovely place!
Thank you for your kind words. Were so pleased to know our team supported your dad and family with compassion and sensitivity during such a difficult time. Its wonderful to hear that our communication helped you feel connected despite the distance. We truly appreciate your trust in us.
My dad was discharged from hospital to Pinewood Lodge on palliative/end-of-life care. The staff welcomed him warmly and treated him with respect and dignity. Not only meeting his personal comfort and care needs, but also lifting his mental wellbeing, talking with him in a way that suited his personality. All the staff looked after us as well, sharing information honestly and clearly, showing us amazing kindness and support during this difficult time. Thank you just isn't enough!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We are truly touched by your kind words. It means a great deal to know that our team at Pinewood Lodge provided your dad with compassionate, respectful care and were able to support both him and your family during such a difficult...
I visited my auntie with my family and was delighted to see her being so well looked after. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were amazing. Thank you for everything you are doing.
We're delighted that you had a wonderful experience at Pinewood Lodge! It's incredibly rewarding to know that our best efforts to create a warm and welcoming environment for our residents are being noticed.
My husband was admitted with severe psychosis and delirium and some aggression. Due to the kind, patient and understanding from the wonderful staff. He was able to return to some normality and hence was able to return home. I have found everyone very helpful. He seemed to be happy towards the end of his stay.
Your feedback means lot to us! We take great pride in providing personalised care and attention to each resident.
The staff at Pinewood have been exceptional over the time my mum was there, and most of the staff have been there for many years, a good sign of a great care home. The care plan set up was with the involvement of the family and we were always included in decisions on changes and adaptations when they were needed.
My mum went into care after living at her own home with dementia for 6 years, she was very stressed about her change in environment but the way the carers helped her settle in and the understanding they had about how to do this was amazing.
In the time before my mum passed away she and we were treated with care and compassion, we were allowed to visit as we needed as the time came closer.
I would not hesitate to recommend Pinewood Lodge to anyone looking for a place for their family member.
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback with us. Your Mum will be dearly missed. Sending you and your family our thoughts and condolences.
The staff who work at the home deserve more than just clap. A pay rise, I think. The work the staff do in all departments is exceptional. The care they take with all residents is second to none. Fantastic. I'm so glad my mum is here, as originally I was worried about putting her into care. But my mind has been put at rest. This is definitely the best place she could be. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the staff.
These are very kind words, and we are happy to hear you are content with us. Our team are exceptional people who are well trained in supporting older people. If there is ever anything we can do more off, let us know. Have a lovely day!
My mum is happy with her stay at Pinewood.

Just such wonderful, kind, caring staff. So happy that my mum is cared for here. It’s never ideal when a loved one has to go into care, but Mum is not in any distress whatsoever and is well looked after - I’m so grateful.
Thank you so very much for the kind words; they are appreciated. If there is ever anything we can do more to support your mother, let us know. Have a good day!
My mum has been in Pinewood for a couple of years; she has dementia, and the staff all laugh and joke with her and are very attentive not only to my mum but to all visitors. I burst into tears on my Boxing Day visit, and a carer came running over with tissues. I am always offered a hot beverage. I cannot praise the staff at Pinewood Lodge enough. Mum is happy, so her family are happy; thank you to all the staff at Pinewood Lodge.
Working in care is such a rewarding experience. Every day brings us new forms of joy and learning, as we try our very best to support our amazing residents. Have a lovely day and call on us anytime!
The staff are lovely too.
When I do manage to get to see Mum, she is always clean and tidy.
Our team at Pinewood is well-trained to support the elderly, and we are thankful to have your mother stay with us - she is lovely. Have a good day!
I always leave feeling happy that my aunt is being well cared for here.
Good day, and thank you for the review. Your aunt is a wonderful lady, and we are happy to have her with us. Feel free to call on us anytime, and have a lovely day!
Mum has been very well looked after. There were plenty of events organised over the Christmas period, both from within the home and visiting entertainers. There were presents and celebratory drinks and food.
Good day, and thank you so very much for sending us this lovely review. We are all very proud of our care home, and it feels good to know that we are being appreciated. Have a lovely day!
