A caring and respectful environment. Very family friendly. Everyone there seems happy. My grandad is settled and enjoys the food. A variety of activities on offer including live music, card making and hairdressing.

It is a privilege to care for your Grandad at Bradfield. He has clearly worked hard and achieved a lot during his life and deserves to be well looked after.
We have a lot to be thankful for what his generation sacrificed for us to have today.

The staff were all brilliant and exceptionally well managed. You were always made to feel welcome as soon as you rang the doorbell. You were always offered a cup of tea, and the senior carer on duty would invariably find time to pop in to discuss Mum's physical, mental and psychological well being. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them.
Mum particularly enjoyed days out in Bradfield's modified wheelchair friendly microvan. The management are outstanding and very highly qualified. They are so interested in their work. Their advice, support and guidance to relatives is timely and brilliant, whether face to face or on the phone, whether writing Care Plans or liaising with local doctors to ensure the very best service to their residents.

My mother-in-law has been resident at this home for 5 months. My husband and I have been very impressed with the level of care she receives. She was previously living by herself and now loves the company and social interaction, which also helps her dementia. There are daily activities and she particularly loves the singing and creative ones. She has put on the weight previously lost and thoroughly enjoying her food. I even heard the cook offering to make her a different dish as she didn't want the dinner option that day. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. We feel that the move has given her a new lease of life and we have peace of mind as she is so well cared for. Led by a great management team, Bradfield is 'head and shoulders' above the rest.
We will share the review with our team, which are a great bunch and we are very proud of them.

The staff insisted that they would keep our sandwiches in the fridge and we could have them at teatime with my wife's sister in the dining room. The next day the owner invited us to tea in the dining room with the residents, now how many care home owners would do that!
The whole atmosphere at this home is of a happy and caring place. Its just the best.

She is cared for by the kind staff, who are efficient, friendly and cheerful. The owners are so helpful and, without a doubt also kind. Mum is known by her first name and I am confident she could not be better looked after.

My mother had been very anxious and demanding before she went to live at Bradfield Residential Care Home. She was hardly eating and becoming seriously underweight. At first, she told me, as her daughter, to let the staff know at Bradfield that she did not wish to join in any activities. Now four months later her life has been transformed. She is laughing and joking with the staff, enjoying her meals and entering into the spirit of whatever activity is on offer at the care home.
It is an enormous relief for her family to know that she is happy, settled and well-cared for. Whenever I visit my mother at Bradfield, I am always made most welcome.
The owners and staff are incredible.

Not only that but they have been supportive of us as well.
We cannot truly speak highly enough of the love and care shown to our mother and us.
Thank you, Bradfield.

During the seven years that my mother lived at Bradfield, her dementia became worse until she was totally dependent on staff for her personal care and feeding. The management and staff were excellent, adjusting the level of care as her needs increased. I was always made welcome at Bradfield and felt able to visit my mother at any time of day. The wider family was always welcomed to celebrate birthdays and Christmas. Bradfield was run as a big family home and everyone felt part of the family. At the end of Mum's life, staff were kind and professional, enabling her to have a peaceful and dignified death.
It has been a privilege to have been able to care for your mother who had lived such a fulfilling life. David & Rebecca.

Security is well practised, also giving residents access to a garden in which to walk around.
There are a number of areas/places/rooms to meet and chat with residents, such as if an activity is on-going in one, another will be quieter for a chat.

After completing her A-levels, Rebecca graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University with a BA/BSc (Hons) in Business Studies with Tourism and Leisure. She has also achieved the Registered Managers Award and holds an NVQ Level 4 in leadership and management in health and social care.
As Registered Manager, Rebecca oversees the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of care in a safe, welcoming, and well-managed environment. Her responsibilities include medication management, quality assurance, risk assessments, health and safety, staff training and development, activities, care planning, and catering services.
Rebecca is supported in her role by her husband, David, and together they are committed to maintaining the warm, family-focused atmosphere that has been at the heart of Bradfield since it first opened.

David joined the Bradfield team in 2005 after a successful career in retail management. Together with his wife, Rebecca, he has played a key role in the continued growth and development of the home. The couple live within the grounds of Bradfield with their three children, allowing them to be closely involved in the day-to-day life of the home.
David holds the QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Residential Management. Together, David and Rebecca manage the day-to-day running of Bradfield, combining their skills and experience to ensure the home provides the highest standards of care and a warm, family-focused environment. David's responsibilities include recruitment and admissions, advertising and marketing, financial management, contract management, and overseeing the maintenance and development of the building and grounds.
Over the years, David has successfully managed a number of building, refurbishment, and expansion projects, helping to modernise and improve the home while ensuring it continues to meet the changing needs of residents. One of his proudest achievements has been leading the expansion of Bradfield from 21 bedrooms to its current capacity of 33. He continues to oversee ongoing maintenance and development projects, ensuring the home remains safe, comfortable, and welcoming for both residents and staff.
Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his family, keeping active, and taking part in watersports. He also enjoys supporting his children's sporting events and performances. During the COVID-19 lockdown, he developed a passion for koi carp and pond keeping, building his own pond at Generals Meadow, and giving unwanted fish from local ponds a new home. David and Rebecca's two friendly dogs, Tilly and Pippa, are regular visitors to the home, where they bring companionship and plenty of smiles to residents.
