We couldn't be happier with dad's placement at Hartley House. The staff are always friendly and because of the layout it is always easy to find someone if you need someone. The internal courtyard means that even with dementia, dad is able to open a door and go outside. Huge thanks to two specific
members of staff and the team for their care of dad.

My father has been cared for at Hartley House for the last five years. Initially he found it hard to accept that he was no longer able to cope living at home, but the team at Hartley House worked hard to settle him in. Communication with the home is good, and we especially enjoy the pictures we receive,
check in phone calls, and the prompt updates if Dad needs medical attention. The home is bright and modern, with pleasant areas to sit and share a cup of tea, The staff are friendly and helpful, and there is a range of activities for residents to participate in.

My father has been in Hartley House for nearly six months and I can honestly say he is being so well looked after. The staff are always accommodating which gives me so much peace of mind.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Hartley House to anyone.

Mum has been at Hartley House for a year now. I am so happy with the care that she receives and cannot recommend it more highly. She is always clean and well cared for. All of the staff are so caring, friendly and very supportive. It is always spotlessly clean and has a range of great activities that

Absolutely great care my mother has Alzheimer's and has been there for over a year and a half

My husband has been a resident of Hartley House for over two years. I've seen a lot through that time as I visit him nearly every day. From the lovely manager down, the staff show compassion, empathy, kindness & warmth when caring for our loved ones. This applies to all the staff whatever their role.
It has a homely feel & fun & laughter can often be heard. The staff are also very caring to me & now feel like extended family. It's a very special place & I'm thankful that if my dear husband has to be somewhere that it's there!

My mum (with dementia) has been at Hartley House for three years. Everyone who works at Hartley House is committed to working for the patient's best interest. This includes the maintenance, laundry, caring, catering and social activities staff.
The management team are very approachable and available
to talk anytime.
Each member of the team has a friendly and professional manner about them, not only for the patients but also towards their families.

We have always found Hartley House a very welcoming, caring and friendly care home for my mother. The managers and the care team are friendly and approachable and understand my mother's needs. They run numerous activities and ensure my mother is included despite her mobility and memory problems. There
are also numerous carers on hand to deal with the residents and ensure their physical and mental needs are met. I would highly recommend Hartley House if you are considering care for a loved one.

Hartley House is a very friendly and caring residential home. Our aunt has been there for almost two years and in that time we have found that she has been well looked after with staff genuinely interested and concerned for her well-being. We are informed immediately if there are any concerns regarding
her health.
Her room and clothes are always clean and she very much enjoys the home-cooked food that is prepared to a high standard.
Given that many of the residents suffer with dementia, trying to manage and provide for all the residents' needs, must at times prove extremely challenging. Despite these demands, the staff are very approachable and understanding. There are numerous activities on offer, ranging from weekly singing sessions and craft activities to trips in the minibus around the local area.
Hartley House has a very happy and relaxed atmosphere and we feel fortunate that our aunt was offered a place there.

The care home staff are always so friendly and happy. Mum is well looked after and the home is very clean. The feeling when you walk in is very homely which every resident needs, plus the visitors who can visit anytime. Can't thank the staff enough for all their effort and the way we are kept updated
on everything (photos and regular social media messages). I would recommend it.

Hartley House has a warm and friendly welcome, and I am always greeted by smiling staff who know exactly where Mum is and how she is doing. We were warmly welcomed for respite care with a view of a move to a place that could offer future nursing care. The staff were very helpful and wanted to know anything special my husband might need .
He settled well and enjoyed the excellent if a little large, meals provided. He was well cared for
and clean and well dressed. There was always fluid to drink in his room. He was warm and comfortable and he had some of his own pieces in his room although he was not there long enough to have pictures on the wall but the offer was there. The management were very helpful indeed especially in sorting out tablets and any queries I had. The other residents all looked clean and well cared for and staff were always on hand to help in any way and there was a happy atmosphere and often laughter. I would recommend Hartley House .

Hartley House provides a service relative to the fees charged. Staff are professional and efficient, warm and friendly and treat residents with care and dignity.
My only disappointment is the lack of a replacement well-being manager to stimulate the residents with activities. I believe this position
has been advertised for some time.

Overall I am very happy with mums care. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My main concern however is the lack of activities. There has been some changes in management so subsequently, there is no one employed to do activities and well-being.

My husband was a resident in Hartley House for seven weeks. I cannot speak highly enough of the care he received. The manager and the team are exceptional. The carers showed immense patience and kindness. The staff throughout were so kind to me and my family. I will always appreciate the compassionate
and dignified way the manager and her deputy prepared my husband and us for his final hours.

My mother in law was taken in to Hartley House under pathway 3 and we immediately knew we had struck gold. All the staff that we had any communication with were outstanding, nothing was too much bother. I know that her needs were complex and she took up a disproportionate amount of time, but that didn't
phase the staff. A huge thank you to each and every staff member.
