Rosewood Care Home

Staff always helpful and cheerful. Good communication when something happens or the staff are taking mum out.

My mother has been at Rosewood for a number of months now, from the beginning she has been treated with kindness and respect. The level of care she receives from all the staff and carers is second to none. I genuinely believe the care she receives on a daily basis from the carers is on a personal level rather than just a job for them. They help her maintain a level of dignity by assisting her in such a way that she feels she still has a little independence.

Overall a good service is provided.

The care at Rosewood is excellent. The staff and management team are very supportive. The residents are offered a variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the home is kept clean and tidy. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Rosewood to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one.

The care home is good. Bit rough around the edges and more care needs to be taken to make sure residents are warm. My mother has got into the habit of taking her footwear off and so them has cold feet that them makes her cold all over. This needs to be kept an eye on. Overall, though, mum is happy which is the main thing.

My mother has been a resident at Rosewood Residential Care Home since February 2015. I live in the USA and have no siblings. Rosewood gives me peace of mind that my mother is treated with kindness and dignity. She tells me the meals are always good and staff are kind and good to her. Rosewood have an active social calendar with singers, entertainers and animal events that the residents love. From time to time they take trips to the seaside or local venues and games at the home that stimulate the mind and brain. I call frequently and can always speak with my mother, staff are always courteous. Managers keep me abreast of situations that arise via email. My cousin visits when she can and always gives me a good report, such as always finding staff interacting with residents. My cousin reports that my mother is dressed nicely with hair fixed nice and clean. My cousin always tells me not to worry about my mum as she is being well cared for.

Staff are very caring and work hard.

My mother has been resident here for the last eight years. I have always been fairly satisfied with the care she has received from staff. However, I have always had a slight concern regarding activities/stimulation. The lady in charge of the resident activity and creativity works very hard, but I feel assistance is required. My mother seems to spend a great deal of time asleep or just sitting in a chair. Other than this, I am confident she is being looked after.

The activities coordinators try hard to engage as many residents as possible.

Very friendly and caring, nothing is too much trouble and welcoming with a drink.

I find my father has settled very well and although he has a few times he finds hard the staff are wonderful with him. They are all very kind. The carers are always with the residents. The home is spotless, a peaceful but bustling environment, always something going on. Staff are always happy to be with residents. Relatives are always welcome to talk to management. Father's room is lovely, with his pictures etc. Food is very good and wholesome, very homely and friendly.

The care home was very caring and tried to keep dad's dignity at all times m was always attentive to his needs especially at the end. They cared for my dad as if he was one of their own, also they were very kind to myself and my husband and brother. The only thing is they have had a change of some staff and unfortunately, some of the atmosphere has gone and there doesn't seem to be much motivation for the residents. The food that I have seen as a visitor seemed nice and wholesome and a good variety. A few treats in the afternoon would not go a miss.

Good working relationship with management and carers. Treat mum with the dignity she deserves. She has been a resident for 4 years in January 2017 and her decline with has been well managed by all.

She has her own room with her personal stuff, pictures, ornaments, television and cd player, but she prefers to be with everyone else and her newly made friends. She's happy.

Have found Rosewood welcoming and caring. All staff have very caring attitudes and react well when things become difficult. The activities are also organised well and both activities organisers make a great deal of effort. Also very happy with security and safety of residents.

Provides peace of mind as much as can be provided during this difficult period of my mother's later years post stroke and heart surgery. Professional responsible and caring always. Would recommend
