Hazeldene House specializes in dementia care (mild to advanced), respite stays, nursing care to palliative and end-of-life support. The team at Hazeldene House embraces a philosophy of Relationship Centred Care™, placing each resident at the heart of a supportive network of family, friends, carers, and healthcare professionals.

At Hazeldene House, mealtimes are more than just nourishment - they're moments of comfort and connection, where residents are brought together to enjoy old favourites and hearty British classics. The in house chef crafts a 4 weekly rotational menu every Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer, utilising fresh seasonal ingredients and catering to key dietary requirements.

From lounge-based activity programs to those adhered to the individual needs of the resident, Hazeldene aims to provide something for everyone. With an entertainment schedule comprising of animal therapy, exercises classes through to singers and musicians of varying genres.

There is a dedicated hair salon which offers residents the opportunity to enjoy hairdressing and barber services in a relaxed, friendly environment, right within the comfort of their home. Hazeldene offers the convenience of onsite maintenance, a dedicated laundry team, cleaners and gardener - ensuring every effort is made to maintain a well-kept, living environment all year round.

Staff were all nice and very accommodating.
Kept up to date with Dad's progress.
The electronic online care app was good. I can see what he is eating and drinking and the medication he is on.
Good for when he was poorly. Peace of mind.
Lovely home. Very clean.

My friend can be very difficult at times and the staff deal with him very well. He is very depressed at times but these seem to have become less frequent as the weeks go by. This I think is because he has started to interact more with the staff and other residents.

The thing that sets Hazeldene House apart from its peers is the genuine respect and care the staff show to all the residents and also to their families. From the first day my partner arrived, he has been treated with kindness and understanding continuously. Because the staff have plenty of experience
in dealing with the complex needs associated with dementia, I can trust them completely and know he is safe all day long. And because the residents are monitored and assessed continuously, all his other health needs are also met. I am very, very grateful to the whole team.

My mum recently passed away at Hazeldene after only a short stay there. Her health deteriorated quickly due to her terminal illness but the care she received there was outstanding.
Hazeldene is set in lovely surroundings with fantastic facilities but what made it stand out for me was the outstanding
& compassionate care from the staff. From the time I made my initial enquiry right up until the time I cleared Mum’s room, I could not fault a single member of staff and I am a fussy person with high standards! They went out of their way to welcome Mum and make her feel at home and nothing was ever too much trouble. They cared for her medical needs far more efficiently and compassionately than any treatment or help we had received elsewhere.
As a family, we are so grateful that Mum’s final days were spent at Hazeldene and cannot thank the staff enough. If you need to find residential care do consider Hazeldene. If my experience is anything to go by you won’t be disappointed.

Mum spent less than a year at Hazeldene House but during that time, despite her dementia, her health improved as she had regular - and rather nice - meals, made full use of her en-suite bathroom with assistance as and when needed, and enjoyed the musical entertainment which became a regular feature
of her life.
The staff all deserve five stars because they were fantastic giving her as much time and assistance as she needed. When I couldn't visit I kept up to date with the computer system and by phoning and speaking with her.
My worries about putting Mum in a home were totally unfounded and her life at Hazeldene House was far superior to that which she had become accustomed while living on her own at home. Alas, old age caught up with her, but I will always remember the good times she had at Hazeldene House.

I cannot express enough, my gratitude, for the amazing care my Dad received, by all at Hazledene House.
From the day my Dad arrived, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, not just to my Dad, but to all of our family.
They looked out for my Mum too on her daily visits to the home and were so kind
and caring.
The food at Hazledene was also fantastic and our thanks also go to the chef, who was happy to accommodate requests and needs of the residents.

Our mother moved into Hazeldene House in 2020, just as Covid was taking hold. The friendly staff soon made her feel right at home. My brother and I were always highly impressed with the caring and respectful treatment the residents received. When we couldn't visit due to Covid, the home's efficient
organisation made it easy for us to stay in touch with our mother via telephone and video call. We were provided with regular updates, given family access to a Mobile Care Monitoring System, and encouraged to provide additional photos and information about Mum's past and interests via the app. Mum's room was light and had a view of the garden. During our visits, nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble, and it was clear that our mother was being looked after very well. When Mum was reaching the end of her life, the staff were brilliant, allowing my brother and me to practically "move-in" for a couple of days. I cannot thank or recommend Hazeldene House and its dedicated staff enough.

Hazeldene House staff have helped my father to pass away in peace and dignity, in his own bed, with all the family nearby. They have been so very caring, calm and expert supporting the whole family at a most difficult time. My mother is being especially kindly and gently cared for with compassion and
concern for her mental health as well as the more obvious physical issues. Phenomenal job - thank you Hazeldene House.

We put my wife into care with some apprehension. This proved to be unfounded. The care, attention and kindness she received could hardly have been better. She did not mix very well with the other residents, and thanks to Covid restrictions, the entertainment was lacking, so she spent most of her time
in her room. A room with ensuite and cooking area, and through a large window, a fine view of quiet park-like garden and trees where we could walk. Yes, it was a fine, modern building, light and airy. However, it was the staff that mattered, and our family is eternally grateful to them.

My mother was admitted to Hazeldene in July 2021 with a nasty wound on her leg. She remained a resident there for five weeks to sort out medication along with dressing the leg. Mum was returned to us very calm, medication sorted and her leg much better. All the staff, management, nurses and care staff
all have so much patience, care and respect for all the residents. If you're not sure where to place a loved one I would highly recommend Hazeldene House.

Mum was placed at Hazeldene House at the end of November 2020 by NHS when she left hospital. Due to Covid, we as a family were unable to visit beforehand and had to go on the CQC review. Thankfully Hazeldene House was everything we wished for. Although we had over an hours drive to visit, I am so grateful
Mum was looked after here until she passed away, earlier this month. The staff are wonderful, caring and supportive and the facilities excellent. We couldn't have wished for anything more.

My mum has been in 3 care homes - Hazeldene is her third - I had to take mum home from the previous '2' as she was very unhappy. Fortunately for mum and me 3rd time lucky - Hazeldene provides a warm caring environment where my mum feels totally "at home". The staff are genuine and caring - mum always
comments on how well they look after her - even through the most difficult of times both mum and I have been treated with the utmost respect and kindness. P.S. the food is lovely x P.P.S. I'm only 55 but my names going on the waiting list!

My sister came to Hazeldene at the start of the Government's call for lockdown owing to the Coronavirus crisis so I have yet to see inside the whole of the home, but the parts I have been able to visit are clean, tidy and well presented. I have no doubt the rest of the home is as good. More importantly,
possibly is the staff attitude and obvious ability and high standard of care. Every time I visit all the staff are professional yet friendly and efficient so that you feel satisfied your family member is in safe and trusted hands.
