Hazeldene House staff have helped my father to pass away in peace and dignity, in his own bed, with all the family nearby. They have been so very caring, calm and expert supporting the whole family at a most difficult time. My mother is being especially kindly and gently cared for with compassion and concern for her mental health as well as the more obvious physical issues. Phenomenal job - thank you Hazeldene House.

I and my family want to express our sincere appreciation and respect to all the staff at Hazeldene House. Everyone has shown the utmost care and attention and love to my mum, and their efforts in supporting my family in a stressful time for us. They have all been amazing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hazeldene House, it is a wonderful care home.

We put my wife into care with some apprehension. This proved to be unfounded. The care, attention and kindness she received could hardly have been better. She did not mix very well with the other residents, and thanks to Covid restrictions, the entertainment was lacking, so she spent most of her time in her room. A room with ensuite and cooking area, and through a large window, a fine view of quiet park-like garden and trees where we could walk. Yes, it was a fine, modern building, light and airy. However, it was the staff that mattered, and our family is eternally grateful to them.

My mother was admitted to Hazeldene in July 2021 with a nasty wound on her leg. She remained a resident there for five weeks to sort out medication along with dressing the leg. Mum was returned to us very calm, medication sorted and her leg much better. All the staff, management, nurses and care staff all have so much patience, care and respect for all the residents. If you're not sure where to place a loved one I would highly recommend Hazeldene House.

Mum was placed at Hazeldene House at the end of November 2020 by NHS when she left hospital. Due to Covid, we as a family were unable to visit beforehand and had to go on the CQC review. Thankfully Hazeldene House was everything we wished for. Although we had over an hours drive to visit, I am so grateful Mum was looked after here until she passed away, earlier this month. The staff are wonderful, caring and supportive and the facilities excellent. We couldn't have wished for anything more.

My mum has been in 3 care homes - Hazeldene is her third - I had to take mum home from the previous '2' as she was very unhappy. Fortunately for mum and me 3rd time lucky - Hazeldene provides a warm caring environment where my mum feels totally "at home". The staff are genuine and caring - mum always comments on how well they look after her - even through the most difficult of times both mum and I have been treated with the utmost respect and kindness. P.S. the food is lovely x P.P.S. I'm only 55 but my names going on the waiting list!

My sister came to Hazeldene at the start of the Government's call for lockdown owing to the Coronavirus crisis so I have yet to see inside the whole of the home, but the parts I have been able to visit are clean, tidy and well presented. I have no doubt the rest of the home is as good. More importantly, possibly is the staff attitude and obvious ability and high standard of care. Every time I visit all the staff are professional yet friendly and efficient so that you feel satisfied your family member is in safe and trusted hands.

My dad moved to Hazeldene House in January 2020, just a couple of months prior to the first Covid lockdown. Dad was to spend the remaining fifteen months of his life at Hazeldene and my family and I cannot fault the care he received there. The staff are caring, friendly and during such challenging times, worked tirelessly to look after their residents when families were unable to visit. The home is always warm and welcoming and very clean. We were always kept fully updated on dad's care and any additional health issues. Having lost dad recently, we cannot thank the staff enough for all they did for him and will always be eternally grateful to them for offering him a home when other homes were very picky regarding some of his health issues. My family and I would certainly recommend Hazeldene House without hesitation. Our only regret is that dad didn’t get to enjoy some of the activities on offer due to lockdown.

My wife was at Hazeldene House for just over 9 months just after COVID restrictions were imposed. Hazeldene House unlike most homes nationally allowed visits during this time, through sheer effort of will and incredible dedication of the staff. The home also worked very hard to do everything they could to keep my wife happy, comfortable and stimulated. Whenever there was a change in my wife's condition we received a phone call and we could phone Hazeldene at any time for an update. We are very grateful for the care that my wife received.

My father was only at Hazeldene House for less than three weeks, but during a very difficult time, the staff were wonderful, kind and patient. They were very informative about Dad's care on a daily basis and did their best to accommodate our needs during lockdown. Dad passed peacefully with kindness and dignity. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hazeldene House for my loved ones.

My wife's stay at Hazeldene House was only a little under a month and covid restrictions meant I only had a few "short end-of-life" visits. During these, my impression was of a clean, well-run and caring place with seemingly happy residents. Her room as clean and airy, and had been chosen to fit with her known preferences. The staff I met were all friendly and considerate and looked after my wife as well as her problems allowed, and her deterioration was conveyed to me promptly and sensitively, both by nursing/caring staff and management, who helped me through the necessary procedures. I have not selected "extremely likely" as I did not get to see everything, but I was impressed with what I did.

My wife is suffering from advanced Alzheimer's. Spent the last three weeks here, I could not have got better surroundings or better care anywhere. I regret that she was too unwell to enjoy all of the activities. The staff are wonderful. My sincere thanks.

My aunt has flourished since arriving at Hazeldene House after a difficult year going in and out of hospital and struggling to cope in her flat. She is very happy to be receiving 24-hour care and has resumed taking an interest in life, and in particular her love of art. The family are delighted she has returned to being her old self now she dene staff have all been kind and professional and worked hard to settle my aunt in, and help her regain enough mobility to enjoy her life.

My father was previously at Hazeldene House for almost three years and received excellent care. We tried two different nursing homes nearer to us, but neither provided the care that Hazeldene provides when my mother fell ill.
Clean, tidy and with excellent facilities, we were instantly reminded why we chose Hazeldene for my father and even though its a 50-mile round trip, it's so worth it for peace of mind we receive, knowing my mother is well looked after.

I cannot commend the staff highly enough. Kind, caring and professional, they have been such a support to my parents and our family.

Although she was in Hazeldene House for only 5 weeks, the nursing care given to my sister, right up until the end of her life, displayed genuine respect and affection for her. My brother and I found the staff we met to be friendly and professional. I could not have wanted better care for her for the last few weeks of her life.

My father was at Hazeldene for 6 months, and I visited him several times a week. The staff were amazing and looked after him really well. He was always clean and immaculately dressed. Hazeldene has a diverse programme of entertainment/activities and a variety of singers/musicians which he enjoyed. He also went on an outing organised by the home. He was admitted to hospital two days before he passed away and it was not expected. The staff were visibly upset when I went to tell them the news he was no longer with us and we cried together. It was lovely to see that they genuinely cared about him. I cannot thank them enough for their care and the warm welcome I always received when I visited.
