Having had a lot of experience with nursing homes I am blown away by the love and care my father is receiving at Hazeldene. The care staff are gentle and attentive, but also extremely professional. I can see their handling training in operation and my father is treated with dignity. The staff are upbeat and happy and the energy of the home is calm. The facilities are clean and modern and the home smells fresh and lovely. Management are supportive and available.

My husband experienced nothing but the best care at Hazeldene before his death. The staff were unfailingly kind, thoughtful and considerate towards him, me and my two daughters.

It was a pleasure to visit. The staff were interacting all the time, even when having a one to one with a resident. Staff were caring and very happy (a good sign). Rooms were good, as were the gardens. All in all well done. Could not give an accurate account of food or activities as I was not visiting when these were happening.

I am so grateful that my mother was able to live at Hazeldene House for the last 2 years of her life where she reached her 100th Birthday.

The staff were wonderful and gave her excellent care with dignity and kindness. I cannot thank them enough.

My mother was at Hazeldene House for two months and the care and attention she received was excellent. It was reassuring for us as a family that she was being looked after so well. I would definitely recommend Hazeldene House. The staff and management were fantastic.

My mother moved to Hazeldene in May 2018. She has a lovely room which she now calls home. The staff are very friendly and caring and always polite. They deal with her every need and have got to know her likes and dislikes. They have a gentle and encouraging manner. She feels safe in knowing there is always someone there. But also enjoys the sanctuary of her own space when she wants it. She eats very well and enjoys the activities especially musical ones.

I am very happy with the staff who care for my mother on a daily basis. The care staff and nursing staff are excellent.

I still feel very unsettled by the recent events and management changes.

My mother and father became residents in 2016 - my mother needed nursing care due to cancer and also had Alzheimer's and my father had had Alzheimer's for about seven years. The care, and indeed love, that they were given was remarkable. I have never seen anything similar in any other care home where I have visited. I have never had a moment's worry about their well being and, since my mother died in 2016, my father has been so well loved and cared for I could not have wished for more. Although there have been difficulties involved in the running of the home over the last few months, this has never affected the wonderful care given.

My brother has been in Hazeldene House for the past year. I could not find a better home for him to be in. The staff are so kind, friendly and caring not only to residents but family members also.
Any problems that have arisen have been dealt with promptly.

I cannot praise this home enough.

Very nice helpful staff, very nice and clean and very nice to be asked if we would like a cup of tea and it was very nicely served with biscuits and serviettes.

This was a new home for us to visit and was very impressed.

One problem, my father had called in this morning re his sister left his name and phone number and no one returned the call.

My recently deceased mother spent the final 3 years of her life at Hazeldene House. She was so happy here; calm, relaxed, chatty, smiley, often making others laugh along with her.
This was the best 3 years I had with mum. She had a difficult and hard life and our relationship wasn’t the best. But her time at Hazeldene changed all this and we grew close and loving. For this, I will always be grateful.

Thank you for the quality care, love, patience, and fun you gave my mum. She really did end up in the best place possible.

I wish I could rate this nursing home 10 out of 5.
My brother-in-law was nursed here for three weeks and the care and dedication of the staff is well over and beyond! They not only cared for and nursed my brother-in-law but offered support and care to the whole family

I can not recommend Hazeldene House highly enough - every small detail has been covered - a big thank you all.

I’ve been part of the Hazeldene team since December 2023. I really enjoy working in care because I like talking with and supporting vulnerable people, and I’ve built great relationships with both colleagues and residents based on trust and openness. That connection genuinely lifts my mood and keeps me motivated! I’m always here to listen whenever you need a chat, and I can’t wait to welcome you to the home.
