After removing my mother from another home after one year, we all as a family think we did the right thing. My mother is so happy and loves all the staff, and have noticed a big change in her. We are happy with her room. It is clean and bright. We are happy with all staff, very supporting and the management makes everyone feel at home. Iw ould definitely recommend Tudor Lodge.

Tudor Lodge is steadily improving and currently undergoing redecoration. The staff work very very hard and are helpful and friendly. The general cleanliness has improved but I would like to see more choice with the menu and more fresh fruit and vegetables.

I am happy with what I see and hear whilst visiting Tudor Lodge. My friend, even with his dementia, seems happy and cared for. His room, when I've gone upstairs, is nice and clean. Staff are polite and show empathy when speaking to other residents. I am happy to see the building and outdoor areas are being refurbished. I have only had one concern which was regarding another resident's aggressive behaviour which, I spoke to a staff member, she was aware of the situation, hence a one to one carer was allocated for the short time she was there. I have always maintained a good rapport with staff who I see are doing a very difficult job, hence the turnover earlier in the year, however, the staff seem to be settled (from what I see).

My aunt said "It's a fairly friendly place. They do not interfere too much, if they see that you can get on, they let you".
"Food is okay and usually the right amount. They go through the menu with you to see what you like".
"Cleanliness is good".
"I miss having things to do. Would like to be able to discuss TV programmes/newspaper articles".

"I get regular hairdressing and chiropody".

Overall Experience

The staff and management at 'Tudor Lodge Residential Home' have been so helpful and are always caring and professional. My Mum doesn't want any visitors and doesn't respond to me but she does respond to the staff. They have regular entertainment and hairdresser for the residents. They have been very helpful recently when my Mum had a stay in hospital. I would recommend 'Tudor Lodge Residential Home' in Folkestone.

Overall Experience

I have always been totally happy with the care that my Dad receives in Tudor Lodge since he arrived in December 2013. They have responded so well to his changing needs as his condition deteriorates. I have also observed and been so impressed in the way they treat the different residents, whatever their requirements, with respect, warmth and cheerfulness. They are also wonderful to the family and I feel welcome and well informed.
