The Beaumont care home provides excellent care for my Gran, and has done for the past few years. The staff are very kind and work hard to engage with all the residents. They put on good events which are fun for all involved - this weekend was the Father's Day Barbecue - brilliantly organised and a pleasure to be part of!

It gives great peace of mind to know that my Gran is in the best place, getting the care that she needs from a fantastic team of people.

Joyce is 98 and living with Dementia. I am her niece and full time carer.
The staff and residents at Oxford Beaumont are so friendly and caring, Joyce has made several friends there.
There are dementia nurses to care for Joyce and a qualified medical team available should she need that.
An extensive schedule of activities are available daily as well as exercise classes events and outings to keep everyone busy. These are emailed to me weekly so I can see what is happening.
I never worry about Joyce while I am away because I know she will be happy, safe and well cared for.
I will certainly take Joyce to Oxford Beaumont for respite care again and regularly recommend

them to other people.

Reply from Paulina Pronczyk, Senior General Manager at Barchester Oxford Beaumont Care Community

Thank you for your kind words and for sharing Joyce's experience with us. We are delighted that Joyce feels safe, happy and well cared for at the Oxford Beaumont, and that she has made such lovely friendships within our community. Your recommendation and continued trust in our respite care are truly appreciated. We look forward to welcoming Joyce back again soon.

Mum has Alzheimer's. The staff are friendly, courteous and respectful. They spend time with mum and help her to join in activities. The rooms are always kept clean and tidy. Mum always looks clean and tidy and says she is being looked after well. They have varied menus which cover different needs and the menus change daily. It is always a pleasure to visit and we can get feedback face to face from nurses, carers and managers.

My friend was unable to cope at home and decided to move in. While she was there, she was looked after in a sympathetic manner by all the staff who went out of their way to help - nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately she is no longer with us but we still go back for coffee occasionally and greeted by the staff like old friends. As soon as you walk in you can tell that everyone is happy and well looked after - it is indeed more of a community than a Care Home.

My Dad's health deteriorated to the point that he needed daily care and support and so he checked in to the Oxford Beaumont for 2 weeks respite care. He settled in really quickly and decided to stay.

The Beaumont provides an excellent environment. The residents are facilitated to make their own choices and supported to live their own lives. Dad has a comfortable room. The carers are considerate, supportive and compassionate and look after him well. After starting to get lonely after his mobility reach the stage where he couldn't leave his house, moving to the Beaumont has given him the chance to make new friends and get involved in the many daily activities. He is comfortable, well cared for and content.

My father initially stayed at the Barchester for a short period of respite after having had two falls at home in January.
I visited the Barchester only days before my father needed to be admitted for care and I knew immediately it was the right place for him to be!
The acting manager was so professional and very thorough in explaining all I needed to know about my father's stay.
Respite care progressed into a permanent stay for him and he is still there, very happy and well cared for.
All of the staff are absolutely amazing and the feel of the home is so friendly and inviting. The staff are always happy in their work and treat everyone with dignity and respect.

There are always lots of activities on offer and my father is never in his room during the day, he enjoys trips out and spending time in the garden.

The food is hotel standard and guests are always offered tea and biscuits. Staff go above and beyond their duties and I feel so reassured he has the professional care he deserves

I stayed at The Barchester for four weeks respite following a hip operation. I was in a lot of pain when I arrived and quite scared of the whole situation, but the staff were very caring and kind. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I soon settled in.
I particularly liked how the nurses have close communication with the local GP in the area and any medical problems can be dealt with very quickly
The facilities are very good and there is entertainment provided during the day if you wish to partake. It is set in nice gardens and you can have coffee outside or have a walk if the weather is good.
The room was nice and I had my own television.
I altogether had a positive experience there, and the staff helped me to recover more of my mobility.

I would highly recommend

Paulina PronczykJob Title:Senior General ManagerJoined: 2014

Hello, I’m Paulina, the Senior General Manager of the Oxford Beaumont Care Community. Thank you for visiting our website!

My journey into health and social care, as well as my time at Oxford Beaumont, began quite unexpectedly. In 2014, while studying, I took a short-term role as a bank cashier to improve my English. What was originally meant to last only three months ended up being a life-changing experience. Through everyday conversations and connections with residents, I discovered how deeply rewarding it is to care for others, which completely changed my career path.

After completing my Master’s in Law in 2016, I chose to follow my heart and fully commit to health and social care. Throughout my career development, I progressed from Carer to Senior Carer, then became Administrator, and now I have the privilege of leading this exceptional home.

Alongside my dedicated team, we are unwavering in our commitment to providing our residents with the highest quality support and care every single day. I am deeply passionate about fostering a community where everyone receives outstanding support. We empower our residents to live fulfilling lives and celebrate each moment. My vision is to create a place where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to be themselves. Join us in experiencing the warmth and excellence of Oxford Beaumont.

I studied physiology at Oxford from 1996 to 2002 and qualified as a nurse in 2004. Since 2012, I have worked in care homes as a nurse and as a care home coordinator during the pandemic. I choose to specialise in older adult nursing because of the breadth of nursing skills required and opportunities offered, and because I can really get to know and understand residents and their families over weeks, months and years, truly walking alongside them. I also worked as a lecturer in adult nursing at Oxford Brookes, overseeing care home placements for student nurses and am a member of the British Geriatrics Society.

In April 2025, I discovered and was delighted to join the amazing team at Oxford Beaumont and now work as Deputy General Manager and Palliative Care Champion. It is an honour to be a part of the dedicated team serving this diverse care community.

Hi, my name is William, and I started in June 2023 in my role as Gardener for the Oxford Beaumont

Since joining the community, it’s been a great pleasure to get to know and collaborate with the residents, assisted living and colleagues.

I enjoy taking residents out for a walk around the beautiful gardens of the home and creating ideas for upcoming seasons and the garden club.

I’m truly grateful and will continue my care, support and knowledge to the whole community.

Hello, I am Judith, and I am a Volunteer here at the Oxford Beaumont Care Community.

I am much enjoying being a volunteer at the Oxford Beaumont a couple of times a week, both chatting to the Residents and running a very elementary French class. I have lived on Boars Hill for many years now, with my late husband, who spent his last few months being very well looked after here, at the Oxford Beaumont. Before that, we had lived a very peripatetic life all over the world and it is a great pleasure to be able to meet the interesting staff and residents at Oxford Beaumont.

Jan Job Title:Resident AmbassadorJoined: 2024

I’m Jan, Resident Ambassador for the Oxford Beaumont Care Home.

I moved here in late April 2024, and the warm welcome extended to me by everyone here made my transition to a care environment very easy - I quickly felt included and valued.

My role is to be an ambassador for the incredible care that we receive at Oxford Beaumont and to be the voice of the residents about anything at all that comes up. I’m often to be found near the front door, so I'm easily available if anyone fancies a chat! Perhaps teaching for nearly 40 years has helped with confidence and a genuine enjoyment of being with many different people.

I support the staff here in speaking to prospective residents about long-term or respite care, and I’m happy to share my positive experience of settling in and becoming part of this friendly community.

Our social contact with each other is a key part of staying well, happy and purposeful, and I much enjoy chatting, joining in the activities and contributing to the friendliness of mealtimes. We get to know each other well and care about each other, which makes it a special community to be part of.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the Oxford Beaumont to anyone considering a move into a care home, whether short or long stay – we are well looked after and it is a wonderful environment to be in.

We also have a lovely avenue of trees in the garden where we can enjoy being together outside, too, when the weather permits.

If any resident has any feedback or suggestions, or you just need a bit of support to make the most of life here, please do come and find me, and I’ll be very happy to help.
