Oxford Beaumont Care Community is a converted Edwardian House with picturesque and landscaped gardens and an interior that is comfortably furnished and spacious.

The service is based upon achieving first class nursing and residential care. There is also a respite service designed to assist families needing short or emergency breaks, as well as apartments dedicated to independent living.

The Beaumont were fantastic during the final weeks of my Grandma's life. The staff couldn't have done more to make her final weeks as comfortable as possible and were even there for the family - making us cups of tea and offering us cake etc.
They really cared for her well and when she did pass, many
of the staff were genuinely upset and you could tell really cared for Grandma.
Grandma was in there for two years and enjoyed the daily activities and food, the staff are consistent and even though she had dementia, she got to know similar faces every day which helped.
Also what was kind is that a number of the staff also attended her funeral.
Thank you to all the staff who made Grandma's last few weeks as dignified and peaceful as possible.
I would highly recommend this nursing home.

My mother was recently cared for at Beaumont. The care and attention given was outstanding even during some difficult times. We were always kept informed day and night and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were always caring and attentive which meant peace of mind for us as a family.

My mother-in-law first went into Beaumont in May 23. The staff were amazing and she settled well. She is very well cared for by all the staff. She is always addressed by name by everyone, including cleaners, maintenance etc. The staff are just amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Friendly and welcoming.

The Beaumont have cared for my husband with care, courtesy and kindness. The GP visits, also chiropodist and hairdresser. The staff are charming. Regular health reviews take place and I am kept informed of significant changes. While his bedroom is rather small and his wheelchair is long, he spends time
in a spacious lounge. I am so glad he is there.

My friend has dementia and was finding it difficult to manage at home. We chose Barchester Oxford Beaumont Care Community as when we visited, the room they offered and the friendliness of the staff made it very welcoming. My friend has settled in and is happy and relaxed. He has plenty of visitors and

The care for my mother has been exemplary. She is treated with kindness and compassion with a professional approach.
I have been impressed that the entire team, all disciplines throughout know my mum and have such a unique supportive atmosphere to each other and to me as a relative. This creates a
genuine family atmosphere, in homely surroundings, for all residents and all under the guidance of expert management. Each day when I leave her, I feel secure in the knowledge that she is safe, content and well cared for. Thank you to all Beaumont staff.

I am updating my review of the Oxford Beaumont as my mother has now been a resident for nearly three years. The nursing home market is competitive but the only thing that matters is how well your loved one is looked after. The Oxford Beaumont is not as modern as some places (fancy bars for visitors
at some homes are just for show in my opinion). What the Oxford Beaumont offers is an exceptional level of care and a proactive approach to nursing. There is a high ratio of highly qualified and experienced nurses on duty at all times as well as carers. The peace of mind you have, is that the staff and managers will go out of their way to make sure your relative is well cared for. The team are responsive, caring and warm to residents and visitors alike. They managed the COVID-19 times safely and continue to look after my mum really well. I would recommend this nursing home to you if you are looking for a place for your loved one.

My mother was cared for in a wonderful, caring, homely environment, nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff. Not only did they care for Mum but they looked after my family's needs also, right to the very end with dignity, compassionate, and completely professional. You would always get
a friendly welcome by staff and residents when you arrive, all wanting a little chat, like one big family. I will miss going to the care home. I cannot praise this care home enough, would 100% recommend it.

I came to Oxford Beaumont for a short time of convalescence care and that is what I received. Attentive and professional, caring and good humoured. In a comfortable room with a calming 'green' view and en suite facilities. Excellent nursing care.

My friend had a sudden loss of mobility, meaning 24/7 assistance was required. Since she has been in the home, she has been really well looked after. The staff go out of their way to be friendly and treat everyone with respect and dignity. Nothing is too much trouble, and it feels like the whole staff
is one big happy family. I would not hesitate to recommend Oxford Beaumont for excellent care for your loved ones.

One particular member of staff is an excellent carer who Dad responds to really well. He is very kind, patient and very skilled at his job. Dad is really happy in the home and it is very comforting to know how well he is cared for.

The care my father received from staff and management, despite the difficulties caused by his dementia, was exemplary. He was treated with kindness and compassion. Everyone who comes here, even visiting family and friends, are always treated to tea and cake and made to feel like part of the Beaumont
family. My mother, who now lives in a nearby assisted living apartment, enjoys her independence but she is encouraged daily to partake in social activities and particularly loves the musical events, French lessons, Knit and Natter and the regular outings in and around Oxford.
Anyone looking for a kind and caring home for their loved ones need look no further.

My father came here in July 2019 to be nearer to me for his final few weeks, he was so frail. He has made a miraculous recovery since being here, with the care and friendships he has made has helped him enormously, he enjoys all the days out, entertainment and choice of food that the home provides and
this July 2023 will be his fourth year here. I would recommend The Oxford Beaumont to anyone looking for a care home for their loved ones

My mum spent her last 3 years in Barchester Oxford Beaumont. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. My mum soon became part of their family. We could not have wished for a better place for my mum to be and for the care that she received. There was always plenty of activities and entertainment
going on, which everyone joined in including the staff. It was a happy place for my mum and for our family knowing she was well cared for. Thank you.

The food is appalling. On viewing the home told all veg is fresh - it's not! The majority of meals are inedible. Residents rely on omelettes and cheese on toast. Raised in residents meeting - nothing done. Spoke with the manager - flippant and condescending! Showed no concern regarding the seriousness
of the situation. Offered to arrange a meeting between cook and Mum-in-Law - appalling. The majority of activities are not taking place.

We understand each resident has different food preferences and we like our chef to get to know our residents personally so they can bear this in mind when writing menus. We also offer an all-day dining menu with freshly made easy meals for residents who want to eat at a different time or do not fancy what is on the menu that day. We are sorry that you feel the chef meeting your mum-in-law was appalling, however, we do hope you now have clarity in why this meeting was suggested. I visit my friend 3 times a week. She is very well and is as contented as anyone who had a high-powered career and valued her independence and now has dementia. I personally have been welcomed warmly by the staff on the desk. The carers have to become friends. If one has to be cared for in a home this

All of our family witnessed a very compassionate, caring, dedicated and professional team of staff members. We could not have wished for a better place for my father to have been placed, especially for the level of care in his final weeks before he passed away. Our hope is that other families need to
rely on passionate, caring and supportive people as we had. A lovely atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. We were fortunate to have the help and support my father and the family were given.

This is the best nursing home I've seen here in the UK, the whole staff are nice and fantastic! As much as the love and they put into such hard work. Every time I come there I feel at home. I hope that every nursing home in the UK could look like this one, all the people who live there would be happier.

Wonderful staff, always very approachable, go above and beyond in what they do. Mum couldn't be in a better place. She loves the staff but struggles with the food due to being Celiac, I would say that is the only point that needs addressing going forward. As her closest relative, we are as a family

My journey into health and social care, as well as my time at Oxford Beaumont, began quite unexpectedly. In 2014, while studying, I took a short-term role as a bank cashier to improve my English. What was originally meant to last only three months ended up being a life-changing experience. Through everyday conversations and connections with residents, I discovered how deeply rewarding it is to care for others, which completely changed my career path.


After completing my Master’s in Law in 2016, I chose to follow my heart and fully commit to health and social care. Throughout my career development, I progressed from Carer to Senior Carer, then became Administrator, and now I have the privilege of leading this exceptional home.


Alongside my dedicated team, we are unwavering in our commitment to providing our residents with the highest quality support and care every single day. I am deeply passionate about fostering a community where everyone receives outstanding support. We empower our residents to live fulfilling lives and celebrate each moment. I have lived on Boars Hill for many years now, with my late husband, who spent his last few months being very well looked after here, at the Oxford Beaumont. Before that, we had lived a very peripatetic life all over the world and it is a great pleasure to be able to meet the interesting staff and residents at Oxford Beaumont.

I’m Jan, Resident Ambassador for the Oxford Beaumont Care Home.


I moved here in late April 2024 and the warm welcome extended to me by everyone here made my transition to a care environment very easy - I quickly felt included and valued.


My role is to be an ambassador for the incredible care that we receive at Oxford Beaumont and to be the voice of the residents about anything at all that comes up. I’m often to be found near the front door, so am easily available if anyone fancies a chat! Perhaps teaching for nearly 40 years has helped with confidence and a genuine enjoyment of being with many different people.


I support the staff here in speaking to prospective residents about long-term or respite care and I’m happy to share my positive experience of settling in and becoming part of this friendly community.

Our social contact with each other is a key part of staying well, happy and purposeful, and I much enjoy chatting, joining in the activities and contributing to the friendliness of mealtimes. We get to know each other well and care about each other, which makes it a special community to be part of.


I can wholeheartedly recommend the Oxford Beaumont to anyone considering a move into a care home, whether short or long stay – we are well looked after and it is a wonderful environment to be in.


We also have a lovely avenue of trees in the garden where we can enjoy being together outside too when the weather permits.

Hello, I am Graham and I am a member of the Activities Committee here at the Oxford Beaumont Care Community.


Since being at Oxford Beaumont I have enjoyed attending lots of different activities and supporting the Activity Team as part of the Committee wearing my favourite pink t-shirt.


My favourite activities are word searches, armchair exercises, minibus trips and live entertainment at the care home.


I do my best to encourage other Residents to participate in the life enrichment activities and fulfil their well-being by doing so.
