My husband was a resident here for four months before he died and received excellent care. As I live very close I decided to offer my services as a volunteer and have visited twice a week and have participated anywhere I could be useful, which I have found very satisfying and all the staff are most

The staff are amazing and look after my dad fantastically well. For any issues they always contact me. I cannot thank them enough for the care they take of my dad. The home is lovely and clean.

My husband has been in Tulip Lane for over two years. He has been well looked after. At times with the previous manager, standards were not maintained, but the home has improved after the new manager took over.

The Barchester Oxford Beaumont Care Community is a lovely, comfortable house of the type often found in Boars Hill. It is situated in a green belt, so has beautiful surroundings (with the best view of Oxford). And plenty of parking.
The staff are professional and responsive but also friendly, warm,
attentive, kind and caring, they obviously like the residents, each other and working there (attributes that come from the top). In particular, the nurses are conscientious and thoroughly careful with medication and monitoring (our neurologist was particularly impressed with their records).
Last, but not least, the home has an excellent chef who produces three-course lunches and dinners served in the dining room (or in residents' rooms, should they so wish). And she caters for all tastes and requirements (e.g. vegan).
Can't be praised highly enough.

This is a home. Residents are made to feel part of the family. Every member of the staff is genuinely caring and kind. They have time for you and understanding. I have been here for a weeks rest and it is the home where I will plan to have my husband as a permanent resident.

The staff at Oxford Beaumont are exceptional and went above and beyond when my mother was admitted in the Covid pandemic after a fall. There are lots of qualified nurses on-site who act proactively to keep my mother well. All the carers and admin staff are excellent too. The food is very good according
to my mother, who is fussy, and her room is lovely and kept very clean. They have worked very hard to keep socially distanced visits going through the pandemic and all measures are taken for Covid safety. Would recommend this home without hesitation.

My mother came to Oxford Beaumont with a terminal illness. She was looked after by kind and skilful staff who kept her pain to a minimum. The staff communicated well with the family. I was comforted by the knowledge my mother was cared for with compassion during her final days.

My journey into health and social care, as well as my time at Oxford Beaumont, began quite unexpectedly. In 2014, while studying, I took a short-term role as a bank cashier to improve my English. What was originally meant to last only three months ended up being a life-changing experience. Through everyday conversations and connections with residents, I discovered how deeply rewarding it is to care for others, which completely changed my career path.


After completing my Master’s in Law in 2016, I chose to follow my heart and fully commit to health and social care. Throughout my career development, I progressed from Carer to Senior Carer, then became Administrator, and now I have the privilege of leading this exceptional home.


Alongside my dedicated team, we are unwavering in our commitment to providing our residents with the highest quality support and care every single day. I am deeply passionate about fostering a community where everyone receives outstanding support. We empower our residents to live fulfilling lives and celebrate each moment. Hi, my name is Mihaela, and I am a Senior Carer at Oxford Beaumont Care Community. I joined the team in May 2022.


I relocated from Manchester to Oxford, and the team and residents here welcomed me with open arms. I am also a Speak-up Champion, and I listen and support all those who may need help or advice. I ensure our residents receive a high standard of care and quality of life. I really enjoy the atmosphere of Oxford Beaumont and working with the team and residents; It’s a great pleasure.

Hi, my name is William and I started in June 2023 in my role as Gardener for the Oxford Beaumont


Since joining the community it’s been a great pleasure to get to know and collaborate with the residents, assisted living and colleagues.


I enjoy taking residents out for a walk around the beautiful gardens of the home and creating ideas for upcoming seasons and the garden club.


I’m truly grateful and will continue my care, support and knowledge to the whole community.

Hello, I am Judith, and I am a Volunteer here at the Oxford Beaumont Care Community.


I am much enjoying being a volunteer at the Oxford Beaumont a couple of times a week, both chatting to the Residents and running a very elementary French class. I have lived on Boars Hill for many years now, with my late husband, who spent his last few months being very well looked after here, at the Oxford Beaumont. Before that, we had lived a very peripatetic life all over the world and it is a great pleasure to be able to meet the interesting staff and residents at Oxford Beaumont.

Job Title: Resident Ambassador Joined: 2024

I’m Jan, Resident Ambassador for the Oxford Beaumont Care Home.


I moved here in late April 2024 and the warm welcome extended to me by everyone here made my transition to a care environment very easy - I quickly felt included and valued.


My role is to be an ambassador for the incredible care that we receive at Oxford Beaumont and to be the voice of the residents about anything at all that comes up. I’m often to be found near the front door, so am easily available if anyone fancies a chat! Perhaps teaching for nearly 40 years has helped with confidence and a genuine enjoyment of being with many different people.


I support the staff here in speaking to prospective residents about long-term or respite care and I’m happy to share my positive experience of settling in and becoming part of this friendly community.

Our social contact with each other is a key part of staying well, happy and purposeful, and I much enjoy chatting, joining in the activities and contributing to the friendliness of mealtimes. We get to know each other well and care about each other, which makes it a special community to be part of.


I can wholeheartedly recommend the Oxford Beaumont to anyone considering a move into a care home, whether short or long stay – we are well looked after and it is a wonderful environment to be in.


We also have a lovely avenue of trees in the garden where we can enjoy being together outside too when the weather permits.

Hello, I am Graham and I am a member of the Activities Committee here at the Oxford Beaumont Care Community.


Since being at Oxford Beaumont I have enjoyed attending lots of different activities and supporting the Activity Team as part of the Committee wearing my favourite pink t-shirt.


My favourite activities are word searches, armchair exercises, minibus trips and live entertainment at the care home.


I do my best to encourage other Residents to participate in the life enrichment activities and fulfil their well-being by doing so.

Hello, my name is David, and I am a Family & Friends Ambassador.
My journey with Oxford Beaumont began in December 2022, a significant moment as my beloved wife made Oxford Beaumont her permanent residence. As the Family & Friends Ambassador, I foster communication between the team and the community of residents, families, and friends. This collaborative effort is instrumental in maintaining a high-quality, compassionate, and responsive approach to care.
