Mother stayed for respite care during June, July and August 2019.
Staff extremely friendly, caring and genuinely interested in making my mum's stay as comfortable as possible.

Would recommend.

I visit from France so it's not as regular as I would like, but when I do visit my step dad I'm always made to feel very welcome. Dad is looked after very well, the room and the facilities are clean and tidy. Dad says the majority of staff are caring and friendly. Dad is very quiet and no trouble so he can easily be forgotten, but he can go to the staff if he needs anything.

I feel the friend I visit regularly here is well cared for at The Beeches, always pleased staff and my friend is very happy here. One thing - I think my friend's wheelchair should be kept clean without me asking.

Overall, we are happy with The Beeches. My mother is content here and we are satisfied that she is being well looked after. There is scope for improvement, however, especially so far as the 'activities' programme is concerned. More sessions should be included to stimulate the residents, mentally and physically.

Staff have been friendly and welcoming. My mum is well cared for, although her room does not have a working shower. Some personal items have been lost (photos). Activities are varied and regular. However, my mum has dementia which means that if the wording of the question is wrong then she chooses not to take part. Staff in the main room have been excellent but one member of staff puts the residents to bed way early, complains and does not work hard. I haven't had any reports from my mum's key worker. I have not been informed of any drug changes. When the doctor was called for my mum, I was not informed. I requested this and the manager said she would add it to the care plan. This has been done. Overall I am very pleased with her care and she is very happy here.

My husband was a resident for two and a half years. The care he received was excellent. The manager is very, very empathetic and the staff are wonderful. They have displayed such patience and tenderness, nothing is too much trouble.

Generally, the staff are very caring but often there are shortages and too many agency staff required. The regular staff look after us well and try to get to know how we like things done.

We very seldom see the managers and therefore they are not always aware if we have a problem.

Very good - with the one exception which is the food at luncheon which for some reason comes into the serving area in good condition but comes out wet and not agreeable for that one reason.

The Beeches where my mother has been staying for the last year is an excellent care home and meets all her needs. It is quiet, calm, clean and in good condition. The staff are friendly, caring, attentive and happy. The food is very good and healthy. The activities are adequate meeting the needs of the residents. We are extremely happy to have found such a good place for mother where she is settled and happy.

An unexpected crisis with my 91-year-old mum meant I needed to get her to a place of safety and care at short (or no!) notice. The team at The Beeches were fantastic. A next day 'trial day' was booked with no fuss. Immediate agreement for two weeks respite stay on completion of the trial day and then two weeks of real care; not only 3 meals a day and medication administered - which was the critical part, but without fail, all staff are positive and smiling - even when mum was grumpy!

With the beautiful courtyard garden, no restrictions on visiting. The activities, the company of other residents; and the staff who so clearly really cared. Mum benefitted hugely.

My mother needed help and moved into The Beeches 10 months ago.

Her Alzheimer's has deteriorated the home have been able to help in every way. They have a good relationship with mums GP and I cannot fault then in their care and treating my mum with dignity. The staff are a proper team and always cheerful and nothing is too much bother. The activities are good and mum enjoys baking and singing. The home also has pet rabbits and budgies which are a huge success with the residents. The food is always of a high standard and relatives and friends are always welcome to join meal times. The manager and team are excellent if only all homes matched The Beeches.
