Limegrove in East Horsley is operated by the Anchor Hanover Group. It is a purpose-built home, supporting up to 55 older people to live a comfortable lifestyle, as well as specialising in dementia care. It is located close to the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The home continues to welcome new residents for a range of residential care services, including convalescence care, respite care, trial stays and long term care.

The care team gets to know customers and works with them to organise stimulating activities which match individual and group interests, both in the care home as well as in the local community. Each customer’s individual needs are regularly assessed to ensure their care plans meet their lifestyle requirements. Meals are cooked fresh, using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients where possible.

Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has more than 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

On visiting Limegrove for the first time I was struck by the sheer friendliness of each and every person I encountered as I was shown around the home. The cleanliness and fresh smell, the organisation and the feeling of home comforts, the gardens, the privacy if wanted. Each corner I turned was a beautiful
surprise. It's home from home for the residents, I feel as much part of Limegrove, as I hope Mum will feel once she has settled in. She has been able to take her budgie with her. Today maintenance put up shelves and picture hooks so her lovely room can be truly hers. She has a tree outside her window where we can hang her winter baskets so she can see them each day. Some of her flowers we can bring and plant in the beautiful gardens. The team are just amazing, having Mum at Limegrove has given me the confidence that she will never be alone again and she is truly being cared for. They really have everything covered it's a pleasure to visit, I've been made so welcome.

Following a fall in his home in the last couple of weeks, my independent 100-year-old father has become quite frail. After a short stay at the hospital, I was able to bring my dad back to his house. I don't live locally and it was a stroke of luck when a kind and thoughtful person at the village pharmacy
suggested I visit Limegrove Nursing Home. I can honestly say that I have been immensely impressed. The staff are patient and caring. The home is a happy and contented atmosphere. I have full confidence in the management and the staff.

My visitor friends and I feel so happy that all the staff are so caring and helpful. If we ask for their help in any way, they will do their best for us and patients. It always seems so happy and relaxed and any requests we have is never too much trouble. There is always a warm, welcoming feel to this

My mum had been living at Limegrove with dementia for nearly six years when her health declined in July of this year. The end-of-life care which Mum received over the next month was excellent. Every member of the team was so kind and caring and tried to make Mum's last days as stress-free as possible.
Their care for me and my family was also exemplary. I can thoroughly recommend them.

My mother stayed for three weeks respite care, allowing my wife and me to go on holiday. My mother normally lives at home but needs someone close by to make regular visits and to be on hand at short notice when help is required. Limegrove provided a safe and welcoming environment for my mother to stay,
the staff are friendly and very caring, the facilities are excellent and there is a varied daily menu from which to choose meals. Regular activities are arranged and all the residents we met were very happy. My mother has since told me that she would be very happy to stay at Limegrove again.

We have been very pleased with this care home for my mother, who has dementia. The staff are professional, friendly and caring and although busy always make time if you have a query etc. After six weeks in residence, Mum seems to be settling slowly but surely. There is a feeling of control care and
cleanliness about the place with a very good food menu, which is great to see. Thank you for looking after Mum!

Limgrove is just a wonderful place with such caring staff. My mother was in another home but since we arranged to move her to Limegrove we have seen a complete change. The staff are so friendly and always have time for me as a visitor and my mother, a resident. Lots of activities and really good communication.
I am so happy that my mother is in Limgrove I could not recommend it enough. Well done to the staff.

After a series of falls, my mother was unable to cope living in her own home. She was aware of Limgrove Care Home and had visited friends over many years. Since becoming a resident, she has been treated with the utmost care and dignity. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. Limegrove has

Hi, we looked at many care homes for my mum and we have been through this process before with my father, but Limegrove stood out from all the others even my fathers one, it was not just the actual site, layout, cleanliness and organisation of the home, it was the staff, and not just one or two it was
everyone from finance to admin to carers, laundry and reception, they were all very friendly and kind considering we took so long in making the decision to putting my mum in a home, we hesitated over months in doing this but they were very kind and patient with us, you can see how happy my mum is with all the activities and people around to interact with, so we know she is safe and well cared for, I do not normally do reviews but I cannot recommend these guys highly enough.

My wife was taken ill and had to go to hospital, she had to stay there for a week. From the outset of her going to hospital, I was kept informed by the home. All of the staff were excellent in her recovery. I would not hesitate to recommend Limegrove Care Home to anybody. The activities are good, even
I have joined in the activities. It is very clean and the food is good, I have eaten there. I cannot fault this place. I am very happy for my wife to stay there.

We really landed on our feet when we found Limegrove three and a half years ago. From the outset Mum has been well looked after and encouraged to join in the many activities on offer. Mum is now ninety-nine and on her Birthday, chef had made her a beautiful cake and threw her a little party with balloons
and music that she could share with other members of her unit. Following lockdowns, Mum had chosen not to participate so much in activities, so as an encouragement to engage Limegrove arranged for her to receive library story discs and an MP3 disc player so that she could listen to them in her room and this has been very well received.

Our Mother went to stay at Limegrove Last October. The care of the staff has been absolutely amazing. Mum settled well due to the friendliness and professionalism of everyone there. Unfortunately, Mum's health declined, and she sadly passed away a few days ago. This was a very difficult time for us
as a family, but the journey was made less painful due to the wonderful staff who cared for Mum in such a gentle way. The staff have all been so supportive of us.

I have visited Limegrove a few times, and am very impressed with the building, the decor the furnishings and the cleanliness of the entire place. The staff are welcoming, friendly, charming and very attentive. They deal with the patients in a caring and dignified manner.

My father moved to Limegrove in October 2022. We, as a family, were extremely happy with how all the staff settled him into their wonderful, caring home.
The home is warm and friendly, and the staff are so helpful and supportive.
We couldn't have hoped or wished for a better home for are dearly loved

My aunt has been in Limegrove since January 2018. The staff are always very friendly, caring and welcoming to myself and my aunt. Limegrove is very clean and tidy. The home is always organising activities for the residents, whether offsite or within the home. The garden has had a makeover and looks
very pretty for residents and their families to enjoy in the summer months. I would thoroughly recommend Limegrive to anyone.

My mother moved into Lime Grove for respite care in October 2022. We found the staff to be most welcoming, everyone went out of their way to make mum feel at home and settled. Throughout my visits to Lime Grove, I have been greatly comforted by the professionalism, care and kindness that the staff have
