I am very pleased with the help and support my mother receives from all of the care staff.

Redcot Residential Care Home has an extremely friendly atmosphere. I have been impressed from my first visit I am more than delighted that my very great friend has settled immediately. Well done to the manager and the staff.

My gran is very happy in Redcot Residential Care Home. It’s her new home and, more importantly, she feels like it’s her new home! It was so heartwarming to see her show my family and me around in and out of the care home taking the lead, it really made us feel welcome and that she was having guests over in the way that she felt the need to look after us! She loves the trips and activities that the care home has to offer and she’s always sociable. Whenever we arrive, she’s involved in conversation and the same when we leave. She’s got a lovely room with a lovely view and she loves spending her time in your beautiful garden!
Your grandmother is amazing and such a funny loving lady, thank you for taking the time to write a fabulous review, I will pass your comments onto the staff.
Mum was not coping at home and reluctantly agreed to look at care homes in the Haslemere area. As soon as she looked around Redcot Residential Care Home she was smitten - such a homely place that does not feel like an institution at all. She moved in in August and is so happy at Redcot. She has a lovely room and makes great use of the terrace with its incredible views. The food is great, there are loads of activities and Mum has been on several trips. The staff are so empathetic and caring. Mum could not be happier and it is a delight to see.
Thank you so much, your mum is a huge delight, she wants to participate in everything and I have had the pleasure of dancing the afternoon away with her. I will pass on your comments to the staff.
The home has been consistently good. No agency staff and loyal carers who know Mum's needs very well. It is not a dementia home but as Mum's mind has got less clear, they show lots of patience and kindness to her.
Thank you for your kind review, we strive to make Redcot a home-from-home experience for all residents. I will pass on your review to the staff.
Dad has been living at Redcot Residential Care Home for a year and three months. He enjoys it there, where he has made a nice group of friends, cheeks the carers with a bit of fun, is kept clean, medicated and well nourished. In this time he has gone from being very frail end of life to happy, stronger and healthier in this beautiful house and gardens with magnificent views and terrace.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a positive review, I will pass your comments onto the staff.
The staff did so much to make Mum feel special, far exceeding anything I could have expected, especially when she became bedridden.
My daughters and grandchildren were always made to feel so welcome when they visited, and they enjoyed joining in the various celebrations so much over the last few years. I certainly felt part of the “Redcot Family”.
I am so pleased we found Redcot, as I know Mum was well looked after all the time.
I would like to say an enormous thank you to all the staff, past and present, for the exceptional care you gave Mum.
It was such a pleasure to care for Mum; she will be remembered with fondness and love by us all. Thank you for trusting us to look after her. I will pass on your thanks to the staff.
My mother was a resident of Redcot Residential Care Home from January to March and it is a shame that her medical condition stopped her from staying longer. She was very happy there and all of the carers learned as much as they could about her in order to make her feel at home and went out of their way to make her feel secure and looked after. The feel inside is exceptionally homely with the cabinets of crockery and comfy chairs in various rooms around the ground floor. The grounds are beautifully kept with lots of interesting things to look at. The provision of varied occupational therapy, from group singing to crafts, keeps residents interested and the pub in the garden is a fantastic place to be in the summer. Relatives are always welcome, it was a lovely place to be for us. I can't thank everyone at Redcot enough for my mother's time there.
Thank you so much for your kind review, I will pass your comments to the staff.
My mother came to live at Redcot Residential Care Home in early February 2023. She is settling in well. The transition from her own house to the home was smoothed by the warmth and care of the staff. Everyone is made welcome and I soon got to know the staff by name. Redcot feels like home, not an institution; the staff are caring and enjoy interacting with residents and their family members. They are responsive if any concerns or requests are shared. It has a real family feel. We are so pleased that Mum has found somewhere where she is well-cared for, valued and respected.
I will pass your comments on to the staff.
A really peaceful calm environment with very caring staff. My mother is content, safe and well cared for. As a family we are so pleased we chose Redcot. The quiet surroundings and environment really stood out when we were choosing a care home and really helps it feel like a homely environment. My mother has been resident for nearly a year now and settled in very quickly with the support of everyone at the home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review, your comments are much appreciated.
Christmas was a lovely time at Redcot - a huge amount of effort was put into giving the residents a memorable experience - the Christmas party was hilarious and all the staff joined in. On Christmas morning, they were all given cards and gifts.
The meals always look excellent and so do the delicious home-baked cakes served with tea in the afternoons.
The rooms are spacious and bright and the views from the terrace are stunning.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review, I will pass your comments into the staff.
My mother has been at Redcot for 14 months. The staff are very caring and patient. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday and as well as her party with her family at my house she was treated by the home the next day to a day out by the seaside and fish and chips for lunch which she thoroughly enjoyed. As a visiting relative I am welcomed and listened to. My mother is quite frail now but up until recently she joined in the various activities and the occasional aperitif before supper!
It was a lovely celebration, your mum's milestone birthday, I will pass on your comments to the staff, thank you for your continued support.
The staff are wonderful, very personable, caring, and attentive. She loves her room and seems to have brought most of her flat belongings to the one room. The handyman has been very patient as he puts yet another picture up on a very crowded wall!
It’s hard for families to accept that a care home is the best place for their parents but for anyone wondering about residential care. I would without reservation recommend Redcot.
It's lovely to see your mum's room so full of her beautiful belongings (there is room for more pictures!).
My mother received excellent care and attention from the staff. She was in a safe and secure environment With the added bonus of beautiful views and a lovely garden and her grandchildren could play the care home's grand piano for her.
We loved hearing the children playing the piano, it was a real bonus for us.
Kind regards
We cannot speak highly enough of Redcot as a final home for our mother. Not only did the manager come and visit mum in her own home before mum finally decided to spend some time at Redcot, but also offers to pick her up on her first day, to make things easier for us. Mum only stayed five weeks at Redcot, before my she died there, but during this time she made friends with both residents and staff, enjoying the beautiful, cosy atmosphere of this delightful home that truly feels peaceful, non-clinical and a pleasure to be in. The staff, without exception were excellent: nothing was too much trouble for them, they always introduced themselves when we visited and the unusually low turnover of staff here means they all take such a pride in their superb caring of the residents.
When mum finally became bedridden and unable to move, the staff rose to the occasion once again, keeping her held in an atmosphere of calm, caring respect and love.
It was such a pleasure to care for mum, she had that feisty spirit that we all love. Thank you so much for your kind review, I will pass your comments onto the staff. Please feel free to pop in if you are passing, you are always welcome at Redcot.
To the Manager thank you for supporting me through this very difficult time, your support has been above and beyond, I am so glad I called you that day to ask about care homes because you certainly have the best one in Haslemere.
If anyone is thinking of placing a loved one in a care home you will not regret sending them to Redcot they are amazing.
Thank you for a lovely review i will pass on your thanks to the staff.
She soon adapted to life at Redcot because everyone did such a really great job of looking after her. She is full of praise for the care she received and said that everyone was very kind and helpful. She thought the home and her room were lovely and enjoyed the food and activities. Although she says she is pleased to be back home, she says that she would be very happy to stay at Redcot again in the future.
All the staff I dealt with in researching and organizing the respite care - admission, and when visiting and leaving, were unfailingly helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
Thank you for your very kind review, I'm so pleased that your mother feels she would like to return to Redcot, we would welcome her with open arms.
Mum has been in Redcot since February 2021, following a hospital stay that left her unable to live independently. She is so happy to be at Redcot and has really made it her home, which probably says it all. The staff have all been very welcoming, understanding, considerate and patient. We as her family feel so relieved that she now has constant support, and so we are all extremely grateful to the manager and all the staff for the fabulous care she is receiving.
Thank you for your kind review, the staff and I are so fortunate to work at Redcot and we do our best to provide a stable, loving home for our wonderful residents. I will pass your comments onto the staff.
My mother has been at Redcot for around three years. She is well looked after and treated with genuine affection and kindness, which is the most important thing to me. Surroundings are pleasant, comfortable, clean and fresh. Redcot and friends of the elderly, have managed the Covid crisis very well and we have been kept informed of procedures and changes promptly and clearly. Thank you to all the staff.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a positive review. We appreciate all the feedback and your comments will be passed onto the staff.

Meet the Team (1)

"Hello, I’m the Home Manager at Redcot care home in Haslemere, Surrey.
I have worked in the Care Sector for 21 years in a wide range of roles, from Evening Domiciliary Care Assistant to General Manager.
Care has always been the path I was naturally drawn to, and in many ways, it seemed to choose me. I believe kindness takes time, and every day I aim to make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives – every day – by showing respect, listening, being compassionate and giving each person the understanding and empathy they deserve.
At Redcot, the care team is amazing - their dedication, creativity and passion for all the residents is so clear to see and they are all devoted to delivering high-quality, individual and bespoke care to each resident and respite guest – I couldn’t be working with a better group of people.
Redcot is a home that looks like home and feels like family. A place where residents feel safe, valued and comfortable; a place they call home and where staff feel like part of that extended family.
