Royal Cambridge Home what a fantastic care home we are so lucky to have mum as a resident. All staff are amazing and professional who really care for the welfare and happiness of their residents.
New building has great facilities very clean and comfortable. Every month we receive a newsletter informing
what activities are planned for the coming month with lovely photos of the residents enjoying the past months activities.

My friend has lived at the newly built Royal Cambridge Home for almost a year and from the very first day, the staff have shown nothing but patience, compassion, and genuine warmth. They have taken the time to understand his needs and personality, and although sometimes this proved challenging they
persevered so that he now feels settled and considers this his home.
There is a calm and welcoming atmosphere, from the moment you enter the front door and there's a real sense of community among residents, caregivers and visitors. There are organised activities throughout the week, including trips out in the minibus; residents are gently encouraged to join in but don't have to if it's not their thing.
The Home is immaculately clean everywhere, the residents' rooms are spacious with a TV and en-suite bathroom and there is a large, beautiful garden to sit out or walk in.
The staff, facilities and environment at the RCH have exceeded expectations and I would highly recommend.

Mum has been in the home for over 5 years.
She's very well cared for and the staff are very loving and sensitive her needs.
Any problems are reported and dealt with quickly and efficiently.
I feel very confident and reassured by the super care she has.
It's very much a family here at the home.

The newly renovated Royal Cambridge Home in East Molesey is quite excellent. The facility is new, purpose built and designed, modern and well equipped and in a lovely location. The rooms are large with ensuite bathroom facilities, the common areas and reception rooms are spacious and well lit with
lots of natural light.
Staff are excellent as is management and some of the staff were are the previous iteration of the home prior to renovation and reconstruction. Food appears to be very good and it is very difficult to find fault with any aspect of the place. Residents are well cared for, well dressed and groomed, well entertained and stimulated and treated with respect and friendship. All in all an excellent establishment, most fit for purpose.

Mum has been a resident of The Royal Cambridge Home since July 2018. My Father had passed away and she was living at home alone. Her health both physical, and mental had started to suffer and she was diagnosed with vascular dementia. Therefore we had to make the very hard decision on her behalf, to
help her live in safety and comfort going forward. We are so thankful to have found The Royal Cambridge Home. It is such a wonderful place. The staff go above and beyond for every resident. They truly care, and know each and every resident personally. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are very supportive of families too. There is great entertainment/activities and trips out in the Home's own resident mini bus. The food is very nice, and hot/cold drinks are regularly served. The Home has had a rebuild, it is warm and inviting, with relaxing decor. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom, and there is a very attractive garden. My Mum is happy, and hearing her say that was the best news.

The Royal Cambridge Home, and all its staff, are outstanding. My mother was a resident for 5 and 1/2 years, and she was always wonderfully cared for. Throughout the covid era and ever since the staff have always cared for her amazingly well and she made many friends. The new buildings are purpose built,
pleasant and spacious. The food is plentiful and well prepared and there is plenty of activities to join in, the views and the gardens also add to its peaceful atmosphere. My mum really felt it was like her home. We are especially grateful towards the staff for their support during my mum's eventual decline and passing, when they showed true care, compassion, and professionalism. Thank you for making my mum's final years the best they could be.

The Royal Cambridge Home looked after my dear Mum with love, kindness and humanity. The staff were absolutely wonderful and are the home's true strength. The new building is lovely, light and bright. The quality of food and variety of activities were all great. They also have a wonderful sense of community.

The Royal Cambridge home could not have been more welcoming and caring for my father. The Manager and all of the team have really made Dad feel at home. Getting Dad settled hasn't been easy but the experienced team have been very helpful to both Dad and I. Dad has enjoyed a number of the outings that
he has been lucky enough to attend, the Pantomime and a visit to the Royal Albert Hall have been his particular highlights.

The staff are very efficient and caring and nothing is too much trouble, my partner has been a resident three and a half years and the family cannot be more pleased with all aspects of the home, the new facilities are top of the range more like a 5 star hotel. The residents seem very happy with trips
out etc and thoroughly enjoy the entertainment laid on, I can only speak for myself but if I am in a situation where I have to be put in care, I can only hope they put me here.

The staff at The Royal Cambridge Home are excellent. They care so well for my mother, including advocating for her when she was in hospital. They offer a real variety of activities. And the building and gardens are well designed.

Excellent care since my father moved in February 2025. The home is kept spotlessly clean all the time, the staff are all friendly, caring and thoughtful, nothing is too much trouble. This is a warm, welcoming and caring home, with attentive and kind staff who take the time to get to know and talk to residents. There is a regular schedule of activities and outings and the lovely garden is a calm, quiet haven when residents want 'time out'. The rooms are spacious, immaculate and warm,
and there is a family lounge on each floor for visitors which is great for bigger ' get together's'.Our mum is much more relaxed and content since moving in 9 months ago and we attribute her current good health and well being to the staff who care for her. We are very fortunate to have found such a place to take care of Mum.

All staff very friendly and happy, my mother is always well cared for and the home is lovely, I visited my mother on a Sunday and the new staff seemed very jolly and happy which made me feel very happy that they enjoyed there job. I feel very lucky that my mother is in the Cambridge.

So impressed with the care and standards of facilities at the Royal Cambridge home. From the moment we entered we felt that my mother's recovery would be in good hands. The team there were friendly, attentive and flexible to our needs.
We contacted other options prior to this and none were as flexible,
efficient or helpful.

My aunt went in for respite for 2 weeks and loved it so much she decided to stay! From the moment we walked in and were greeted by very professional friendly staff we knew we had made the right decision for her new home. We have watched her become very settled and more confident, we have our old aunt
back ! Highlight of the week is hairdressing day on Fridays which gives the residents a unique personal treat and makes them feel very special, particularly my aunt who is very proud when we visit her to show off her lovely hair do! Congratulations to the staff for all the hard work they do and give us peace of mind we chose our aunt to live in your care

My husband was welcomed so warmly to the Royal Cambridge in November 2024 by all the staff, whether they be carers, cleaners, kitchen staff or front office. The space inside is very good for someone who is active with dementia and a varied activity programme is supplied morning and afternoons. Even
at weekends, the carers are thinking up activities to do with the residents and my husband is allowed outside to walk in their large garden. On a sunny day recently, most of the residents had lunch outside in the garden and loved it. Some days there is an outing on the minibus which is a real bonus.
All the staff are so friendly and the care is excellent to all the residents. My dog is allowed in to see my husband and the other residents love to give her a stroke and feel her coat!

My mother was permanently placed at this care home on discharge from hospital. My initial impressions were very good, and I'm pleased to say that after a month or so, this has not changed. The welcome from staff from the front door inward is friendly, warm, and engaging. The environment is very comfortable,
clean, homely and welcoming. The room is bright, and airy and suits mum's needs very well.
The care I have witnessed to date has been patient, kind, and exemplary. My mother has settled very well, takes part in the various activities, is eating well, and becoming more confident in her mobility due to the support she receives there. I am very pleased with this placement and care.

Rory is the General Manager of The Royal Cambridge Home. He has been the Manager of the service since June 2015. He has over 25 years experience of working in social care and has been a Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission since 2006.


He has attained relevant qualifications in care namely: Registered Manager’s Award; NVQs in Care levels 2, 3 and 4; Assessors and Internal Verifiers qualification; as well as awards in Managing Care and End-of-life care.


Rory also holds a BSc (Hons) and MA degree in Social Sciences. He is a qualified counsellor having attained the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Most recently Rory has completed a Foundation Degree in Counselling with the Open University.

Vicky O'Brien

Vicky has over 30 years’ experience in the care sector.


Having joined the Royal Cambridge Home in April 2018 as Care Manager, Vicky has since been promoted to Deputy Manager, however, as part of her role she also oversees the delivery of care for our residents.


She has a particular interest in Dementia, both in the inclusive practice and the research element. Vicky is a dementia trainer and both a Dignity and Dementia Champion.


She is also trained in Substance Misuse.


She holds a Level 3 NVQ in Management and a Level 5 NVQ in Care.
