Mum has been at the Royal Cambridge for just over a year and has settled in very well. What strikes me most when walking into the Royal Cambridge is just how clean and modern it is. This is so important as Mum was meticulous in her own home. The Home is bright and airy overlooking a beautiful garden with lovely plantings, and hens to watch in their specially built coop. Mum's ground floor bedroom and ensuite bathroom are kept immaculately clean. The staff are so cheerful and really good fun which Mum loves as she has a good sense of humour. I'm always amazed at the number of events taking place each month, and the monthly newsletter keeps me up to date on activities. As well as in-house entertainment, there are lots of trips out in the Home's mini-bus. I would definitely recommend the Royal Cambridge; their staff are so experienced, friendly and cheerful that I am confident that Mum is in very safe hands and well cared for.
Thank you for your super review and for remarking on our fantastic team, as everybody plays a big part here. You mentioned our entertainment schedule which we are very proud of as there are numerous activities and events that we put on and as you say, our minibus is often out and about with...
I cannot tell you how thankful I am to The Royal Cambridge care home. The way they have looked after my mother has been exceptional.
The staff are absolutely amazing. So upbeat, so jolly, incredibly caring and genuine. There communication with me has been so proactive and they are so easy to get hold of.
There are no words that do justice to how thankful I am. My mum looks well, her hair and nails always look great, she's dressed so well. She has such lovely food. She's having a dignified life in a community environment.
Thank you to everyone who works and runs the carehome. I am so eternally grateful.
P.S. the grounds are stunning too!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review for us. It's wonderful to hear that you are happy with the care that your mum receives. We feel that it is the every day things that make such a big difference, such as having hair styled by our visiting hairdresser, nails done...
The new purpose built home is of the highest standard providing cheerful comfort and convenience throughout with modern entertainment systems. The location is ideal for outings and interesting visits aided by the home having its own transport.
We enjoy the in house activities which provide for a full and varied entertainment ranging from fitness sessions to a visiting jazz band designed to stimulate and amuse which go down very well with all. The newly laid out gardens provide an attractive and colorful focal point to relax and refresh.
I heartily recommend the Royal Cambridge to those seeking such a caring environment where an established tradition and reputation of caring excellence is continuing in this new setting.
We are so glad that your wife has joined our Royal Cambridge Home community and that she has settled in so well. It is heartwarming to know the overall positive effects of living at Royal Cambridge Home is having due for the combination of reasons you mention. Thank you for taking the time to write this brilliant review. Your feedback is very much appreciated by all the team. Best wishes, Rory
I moved my Mum from her current care home to Royal Cambridge Home in April 2026. It was not a decision I made lightly but I have been so pleased. The Home is exceptional. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the care team, professional and incredibly supportive. They have gone above and beyond to ensure Mum's transition has gone as smoothly as possible. Both the Home and garden is immaculate, clean, and well looked after. I fully trust that Mum is being well cared for and I am regularly kept up-to-date with any concerns or changes.
Thank you for taking the time to write this great review and for your excellent feedback, which is much appreciated by all of the team. We are so pleased that your Mum is continuing to settle into life at Royal Cambridge Home and has become part our care home community. Best wishes, Rory
Our mother moved in to RCH in January 2026 and is happy and feels at home having moved from another home which was far away. She is well cared for by all the staff who work very well together as a tight-knit team. There is a warm and supportive atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble. The staff have taken a vested interest in our Mum and have got to know her well which has helped her to settle in quickly. The staff keep us informed if there are any issues. She loves the beautiful landscaped garden and watching the chickens who provide endless entertainment. She has a lovely furnished room with an en-suite wet-room which overlooks the park. When she moved in, the team were very accommodating when we wanted to move the furniture around to meet her needs. She enjoys the various activities, the outings and not to mention all the parties! I highly recommend RCH for its family-oriented, friendly atmosphere, the care they provide and for the delightful new spotlessly clean facilities
Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review. We are so glad that your mother has settled in well to Royal Cambridge Home and that she is enjoying her new care home environment, including the parties, as well as watching the chickens too! Your feedback is greatly appreciated by all the team.
The staff are very welcoming , friendly & professional . There is very good communication with families of the residents. There are daily activities & also mini bus trips.
The newly built facility is very confortable & is kept immaculately clean.
The residents' rooms are spacious , have en suite bathrooms & TVs. Each floor has a lounge in addition to the main lounge on the ground floor. There is a large garden which will be great in the warmer weather.
We would highly recommend the Royal Cambridge Home.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are all so pleased your mum has settled in and is enjoying home life here at The Royal Cambridge. Thank you again for taking the time to review us, it is very much appreciated and great to hear.
New building has great facilities very clean and comfortable. Every month we receive a newsletter informing what activities are planned for the coming month with lovely photos of the residents enjoying the past months activities.
Thank you for the lovely review . Staff really appreciate the lovely words that families say. Mum is a big part of the home and our family .
There is a calm and welcoming atmosphere, from the moment you enter the front door and there's a real sense of community among residents, caregivers and visitors. There are organised activities throughout the week, including trips out in the minibus; residents are gently encouraged to join in but don't have to if it's not their thing.
The Home is immaculately clean everywhere, the residents' rooms are spacious with a TV and en-suite bathroom and there is a large, beautiful garden to sit out or walk in.
The staff, facilities and environment at the RCH have exceeded expectations and I would highly recommend.
What a lovely review, thank you very much from all the team here. We appreciate all the support .
Staff are excellent as is management and some of the staff were are the previous iteration of the home prior to renovation and reconstruction. Food appears to be very good and it is very difficult to find fault with any aspect of the place. Residents are well cared for, well dressed and groomed, well entertained and stimulated and treated with respect and friendship. All in all an excellent establishment, most fit for purpose.
Thank you so much for you really kind review. It's always great to hear from our residents' families with positive feedback. Your mum has been a lovely addition to the home and it's good to see her looking so happy and content. Thank you.
Mum has been a resident of The Royal Cambridge Home since July 2018. My Father had passed away and she was living at home alone. Her health both physical, and mental had started to suffer and she was diagnosed with vascular dementia. Therefore we had to make the very hard decision on her behalf, to help her live in safety and comfort going forward. We are so thankful to have found The Royal Cambridge Home. It is such a wonderful place. The staff go above and beyond for every resident. They truly care, and know each and every resident personally. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are very supportive of families too. There is great entertainment/activities and trips out in the Home's own resident mini bus. The food is very nice, and hot/cold drinks are regularly served. The Home has had a rebuild, it is warm and inviting, with relaxing decor. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom, and there is a very attractive garden. My Mum is happy, and hearing her say that was the best news.
Thank you for the lovely review , this means so much to us all here. our residents are the most important part of the home and it makes us so happy to hear that we have got it right .
The Royal Cambridge Home, and all its staff, are outstanding. My mother was a resident for 5 and 1/2 years, and she was always wonderfully cared for. Throughout the covid era and ever since the staff have always cared for her amazingly well and she made many friends. The new buildings are purpose built, pleasant and spacious. The food is plentiful and well prepared and there is plenty of activities to join in, the views and the gardens also add to its peaceful atmosphere. My mum really felt it was like her home. We are especially grateful towards the staff for their support during my mum's eventual decline and passing, when they showed true care, compassion, and professionalism. Thank you for making my mum's final years the best they could be.
Thank you for the kind words this means so much to all of us here, Mum made many friends whilst she was here and it was a great pleasure to have had mum in our lives for such a long time and will be sadly missed by us all .
The Royal Cambridge Home looked after my dear Mum with love, kindness and humanity. The staff were absolutely wonderful and are the home's true strength. The new building is lovely, light and bright. The quality of food and variety of activities were all great. They also have a wonderful sense of community. I'm so glad we picked the Royal Cambridge for our Mum.
Thank you for your kind words and this lovely review of Royal Cambridge Home's care of your mum. We were all very fond of your mum and she is greatly missed by all the team. Thank you for the privilege of allowing us to look after her. Best wishes
The Royal Cambridge home could not have been more welcoming and caring for my father. The Manager and all of the team have really made Dad feel at home. Getting Dad settled hasn't been easy but the experienced team have been very helpful to both Dad and I. Dad has enjoyed a number of the outings that he has been lucky enough to attend, the Pantomime and a visit to the Royal Albert Hall have been his particular highlights.
Thank you for the lovely review of the Royal Cambridge Home .
Mum has received top-quality care from all the staff for the period she has been in the home. The staff are always helpful and quick to answer questions or put in the extra effort to get things sorted.
Thank you for the great review . This means a lot to all the staff at the Royal Cambridge Home .
The staff are very efficient and caring and nothing is too much trouble, my partner has been a resident three and a half years and the family cannot be more pleased with all aspects of the home, the new facilities are top of the range more like a 5 star hotel. The residents seem very happy with trips out etc and thoroughly enjoy the entertainment laid on, I can only speak for myself but if I am in a situation where I have to be put in care, I can only hope they put me here.
Thank you for the lovely feedback on the care received at the Royal Cambridge Home. This always means a lot to all the staff at the home.
The staff at The Royal Cambridge Home are excellent. They care so well for my mother, including advocating for her when she was in hospital. They offer a real variety of activities. And the building and gardens are well designed.
Thank you for this brilliant feedback and review of Royal Cambridge Home about your mother's care experience, which is much appreciated by all the team
Excellent care since my father moved in February 2025. The home is kept spotlessly clean all the time, the staff are all friendly, caring and thoughtful, nothing is too much trouble. My father is comfortable, safe and feels well looked after. He enjoys the garden and variety of trips out in the minibus.
Thank you for this great review and feedback, which is much appreciated by the team. We're glad that your father is having a wonderful experience living at The Royal Cambridge Home and enjoys the trips out and the garden too
This is a warm, welcoming and caring home, with attentive and kind staff who take the time to get to know and talk to residents. There is a regular schedule of activities and outings and the lovely garden is a calm, quiet haven when residents want 'time out'. The rooms are spacious, immaculate and warm, and there is a family lounge on each floor for visitors which is great for bigger ' get together's'.Our mum is much more relaxed and content since moving in 9 months ago and we attribute her current good health and well being to the staff who care for her. We are very fortunate to have found such a place to take care of Mum.
Thank you for this lovely review and feedback; it is pleasing to note, the positive difference that living at Royal Cambridge Home has made to the well being of your mum
All staff very friendly and happy, my mother is always well cared for and the home is lovely, I visited my mother on a Sunday and the new staff seemed very jolly and happy which made me feel very happy that they enjoyed there job. I feel very lucky that my mother is in the Cambridge.
Thank you for your review and feedback, which is very much appreciated by all the team
All staff are friendly, helpful, caring and patient with residents. The new building is amazing; great facilities and lovely, light-filled rooms, and a quiet garden where residents can safely spend time outdoors. There is a wide range of activities, including trips out in the minibus, which my mother greatly enjoys.
