Our fees are charged per person, per week. We do not require a deposit and we do not require a guarantor. This will include the provision of personal care, food and drink, heating, lighting, equipment, laundry, insurance of personal items, and in-house activities.
These fees are valid between 1st April 2025 and 31st March 2026 and are reviewed annually. The Registered Manager will assess you prior to admission to determine the level of care provision required. During a stay at Shottermill House, fees can change if the level of care you need increases or if there is a change in the law which significantly impacts the cost of your care. You will be given one month’s notice of any changes in fees.
We have three levels of care provision at Shottermill House:
• Basic residential care: this is where the assessed needs are relatively uncomplicated and where mechanical or technical assistance is rarely needed.
• Higher dependency: this is where the assessed needs are complex and where mechanical or technical assistance is intermittently needed.
• Enhanced care: this is where assessed needs are highly complex and where mechanical or technical assistance is frequently needed. We charge for dementia care at this rate.
If you intend to pay your own fees, you are expected to have liquid funds to meet the home's fees for a minimum of two years. If you have any queries about paying for your care feel free to contact the managers to discuss this.
These prices are only a guideline, please contact Shottermill House to find out the exact price for your requirements.
Informal visits are welcome by appointment. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit at any time during the day, and there is the opportunity to purchase a meal in the home if they wish to do so, by prior arrangement.
There is ample parking for visitors at the home.
